Valerian, The Legendary
Chapter 380: On The Knees.
Valerian warned the teammates and stood at the end of the collapsed clearing. He could sense the movement in the debris and wanted to know who would come out first.
A small amount of rubble fell, and Marva climbed out. He burst into laughter when he saw Valerian glaring at him. The man said, "I did not expect you to be so decisive. Tell me, what do you want to let me go?"
Valerian asked, "You want me to let you go?"
The man nodded without a shred of pride. He said, "You might not know, but I have a lot of money. I can give it all to you. Just let me escape."
Valerian thought for a bit or pretended to, at least. Then he flicked his wrist, and a flive dug into Marvaโs thigh. The pain made the man groan and wince. He said, "Have you fucking lost your brain, kid? Do you think this wild boss to stay asleep while you kill me? My scream can awaken him."
The young man did not hesitate and said, "I want you to wake him up."
Marva was shocked, and Valerian flickered from his position and appeared before Marva. He said, "Kneel, and I will let you go."
Marva could not fathom the aura radiating from Valerian. It was as if a King was talking to him. His body shivered, and he knelt. Marva was a dungeon who would do anything it took to survive.
Valerianโs actions just now broke his will and confidence. He did not need too much to tell that the young man did not fear anything. The young man kicked Marva right in the head and knocked him out. He did not want to kill anyone if he did not need to.
He picked up Marva and threw him to the side where his team was waiting. The young man then turned to look at the rubble and found the place where the wild boss was. He cleared up some rubble and held his sword in his hand. If he could stab the beast through his eyelids right now, the mission would be over, and he will get his relic.
However, his pride did not allow him to. Watching the wild boss, he recalled how he fought with dragons. A curve appeared on his lips.
Shiba saw this and grabbed Marva, and she said, "Get back. My heart is shivering."
Valerian did not say anything and poked the shoulder of the creature with his sword. The wild boss squirmed as if a fly was disturbing its sleep. At this moment, Valerian leaned over the ear and shouted, "WAKE UP, YOU LAZY BASTARD."
The wild boss opened its eyes, and Valerian jumped back into the void. The beast stood up and roared. Valerian chuckled and said, "Come on."
The beast had human intelligence and could understand that Valerian was challenging and teasing it. The wild boss was twenty feet tall. The beast rushed towards Valerian, holding the bludgeon.
Valerian did not shy away from the challenge and rushed toward the beast. The wild boss swung the bludgeon at him. However, the young man dropped to his knees, and the attack missed its mark.
This slide allowed Valerian to close the distance with the wild boss, and then he jumped up while swinging his sword. The attack was aimed at the knee joint, and Valerian used his full strength to slash. The wild boss was not given a chance and fell to its knee. It roared and began swinging the bludgeon all over the place with only destruction in his mind.
The young man moved around to avoid the damage. However, as time passed, he found that the wild boss would stand up. He could not let this happen, so he rushed closer to the wild boss. The bent knee was seven feet high. Valerian covered the distance with ease and jumped up. The wild boss saw this, but he could not block Valerian.
The wild boss was too committed in his attacks to destroy everything in rage to pull back and block Valerian. The young man with the silver hair slashed the blade at the nape of the wild boss. The gash was deep, and the blood sprayed out like a fountain.
The wild boss opened his eyes wide, and its pupil constricted. The team was shocked. They could not remember all the attacks Valerian had made on the young man. However, they could tell that a normal Dungeoneer could not have made all these attacks. The landscape of this level has changed completely after the mad destruction caused by the wild boss. Yet Valerian managed to kill it on his own.
The creature fell to the ground with a dull thud, and gradually, the body began to disappear. They all looked for the floor where a bugle appeared. The young man stood on the floor, panting hard. Valerian supported his torso with his hands. He was tired. He had been running around at full speed to irritate the wild boss.
The duration of his dash had extended an hour, and such an action could not be committed without any backlash. His body did not have any battle aura or mana anymore. Everything he did was purely the power of his flesh. ๐ฏ๐ง๐ฎ๐ฎ๐๐ฎ๐๐ฃ๐๐๐๐ต.๐ฌ๐ธ๐
Valerian took a deep breath and picked up the bugle. Then he sat on the ground.
...
After searching the thirteenth and fourteenth floors, the Avion Party did not find a trace of Valerian, so they wanted to explore the fifteenth floor. They were heading toward the entrance passage when they spotted a silver-haired figure dragging someone behind him.
Castil and Basilo became alert but were shocked when they saw Marva limping behind Valerian, his hands tied by a rope.
The two parties came face to face, and Castil wanted to order the soldiers to attack when Valerian appeared next to Basilo and stabbed the man in his ribs before the other party could react. He said, "If you wish to die, you can take out that knife."
Castil reacted and took out his short sword to attack Valerian when an arrow lodged in his outstretched arm. Valerian cast him a gaze and flicked a flive in his stomach. He told the soldiers, "None of your comrades on the fifteenth floor survived. Do you want to face the same?"
The soldiers shivered at this. They all looked at Marva, who nodded with dull eyes. Valerian broke his soul. The young man did not waste unnecessary time and told the people to move through the levels. Shiba was the leader, and she was told to use the bugle and return to the first floor to wait for them.
After twenty minutes, the people reached the first floor, and Castil said, "Lex will not let you get away with this."
Valerian smiled and said, "I want him to come forward and try to stop me."
The people could not help but gulp a mouthful of saliva at this.
...
Lex stood in armor outside the dungeon, waiting for his people to return triumphantly. He was sure that his Avion leaders would be able to defeat that boy and avenge the humiliation they faced. He had bought hundreds of Avion Party members. A lot of free dungeoneers were also gathered.
They all wanted to see what would happen to Valerian. Opposite Lex stood Master Adler, holding a war ax that Valerian made. When they were all waiting, people came out of the exit portal.
Lex smiled, and Adler gripped the ax tighter. The first comers were all the people of the Avion Party. However, the smile on Lexโs face froze up. Three people came out behind them, and the moment they stepped out of the portal, they knelt on the ground.
Behind them came out Valerian with his team. His cold face said it all. The aura and confidence from his body were so strong that people instinctively stood up straight. The young man walked toward Lex without wasting time.
However, before Lex could pick up his sword, Maximus charged at Valerian from the side. The young man was not fazed and slapped Maximus with a backhand. The impact caused the young man to fall on his back and take a bounce before he fell ten meters away from the spot.
Lex shouted, "Insolent bastard."
He took out his sword but just when he was about to slash at Valerian, he froze. Everyone heard gagging sounds. Valerian seemed to have teleported before Lex and his right fist was digging in the guts. Lex was choking, Valerian disrupted his breathing and plans with one blow.
Valerian said, "All of the Avion Party if you want to live. Kneel."
That was it. He just broke their leader like a twig of straw. How can these people stand a chance to fight against him? Adler smiled as he watched the Avion Party, the biggest force in the city kneeling before a teenager.
Valerian said, "I am not a saint, but if you hindered me, I would have a real King kneel before me, let alone a wannabe like you."
