"Damn.... Monster." – said the knight player who was held by his neck.

"Now, now, I’ve asked a simple question." – replied Phantasia as he stood in the middle of destroyed battlefield, while holding the injured player.

"Who are you working for? Don’t make it too hard for yourself. Unless you want me to personally get in your way to get to the finals!"

"Wait! We were paid!" – shouted the panicking player.

"Who?" – asked Phantasia.

"We.... We don’t know.... It was anonymous job." – replied the panicking player.

"But we were offer too much money to just ignore!"

"They just told us to work together and make sure that the top rankers wouldn’t pass!"

(And their goals aligned.... Since nobody wants a top player be in the finals.... Since their chance would be extremely slim.) – thought Phantasia as he then proceeded to just snap the player’s neck, killing them right on the spot. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝕨𝕖𝗯𝚗𝚘𝕧𝕖𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝕞

(Nobody would cooperate willingly.... But if the money was made as an "excuse".... Then it could had worked.) – thought Phantasia as he started walking.

(The nobodies from before must had been something like paid scouts.)

("Rankers".... So does that mean the person who paid them isn’t registered ranker themselves?)

(Then should I go and hunt anybody I don’t recognize and know about?)

As Phantasia decided to wait until the scanner activates, something suddenly caught his attention.

A massive burst of golden flames had erupted from nearby, forming a massive column.

"Heh." – and upon spotting it, Phantasia without any hesitation began walking towards the source of burning light.

"Oh common." – said Arthur.

(They are still alive?!) – thought Arthur as he saw both Doremi and Apple still standing in the middle of the scorched area.

(Just how high their HP is?!) – thought Arthur as Doremi suddenly rushed at the exhausted swordman and swung her polearms at the man, forcing Arthur to quickly leap away, barely dodging the massive weapons that came his way.

However, right as he dodged one attack, another one came, this time from the chain user as he unleashed a hail chains at Arthur, forcing the swordman to unleash a slash of fire from his sword, which erupted into explosion, which managed to knock back the chains and give Arthur a chance to retreat further.

Apple and Doremi tried to again go after the fleeing Arthur.... But then suddenly, both of them attacked each other.

"!?" – both of them had same plan, as Doremi was struck with chains, while the chain user was hit directly with polearms.

"!"

(Shit!) – and as both of them stagnated each other with their strikes, Arthur didn’t wanted opportunity and unleashed [Fire Sword: Sun Blade Sword], unleashing a massive flying slash of fire that struck both opponents at the same time, landing a devasting strike on both foes.

"BITCH!" – but even after getting directly hit with yet another ultimate, they still stood, and Doremi instantly counter attack by firing off her fists at the warrior, catching him off guard.

(Rocket punch?!) – thought surprise Arthur as he used [Fire Magic: Fire Jump], sending himself flying into the air and dodging the two fists that were fired at him.

"!?" – but as he thought he managed to get away, a chains suddenly appeared and wrapped themselves around the man’s leg,

The chain user swung down his chains, instantly sending Arthur down.

But as he did, he saw Doremi reattaching her arms and quickly rushing to the spot where Arthur is about to smash into.

But before the Arthur was smashed into the ground where Doremi was waiting, the chain user suddenly used a space magic to open up a teleportation gate, throwing Arthur into it and making him get tossed near the chain user.

"!?"

"WHAT THE FUCK!? ANOTHER?! WHY THE FUCK ALL THESE MOTHERFUCKERS HAVE NOW SPACE MAGIC?!" – shouted completely pissed off Doremi as she rushed at both the players.

The fight between the trio of players was extremely bloody.

They were destroying the entire area around them.

The chains smashed everything.

The fire burn everything.

And the machine shattered everything.

The entire part of the forest where the trio was fighting at was pretty much turned into the wasteland.

But even so, they still fought.

And the reason why nobody has died yet is simple.

Arthur possesses extremely high self-healing ability, while both Doremi and Apple posed extremely tough defense that could not be shattered easily.

The three-way fight was pretty much beyond chaotic and it would only to get worse as the time would pass by.

And there is one thing that needs to be mentioned.

Targets.

Doremi hunts Arthur.

Arthur hunts Apple.

Apple hunts ???

Right now, Arthur is in worst position, since both Apple and Doremi want to make sure that Arthur is eliminated by THEIR hands, since it would make them qualify for the next round.

However, it doesn’t mean they are not focusing each other as well.

Doremi and Apple are aiming to eliminate one another in order to make sure that Arthur’s death will belong to them.

In other words.

Chaos.

Pure chaos.

That is the only way to describe the fight between these 3 people.

But obviously, that kind of chaos will have side effects.

Simple put.

Attention.

Some people obviously found them and were waiting for the chance to strike.

Reason?

Get rid of competition.

By making sure that the strongest players are out of the game and won’t be joining the finals, the chances of any of these people will increase in turn in the finals.

"Arthur....Doremi.... And some guy I don’t know about?" - said Phantasia as he was checking each player in the area.

"Is any of you hunting Arthur here?" – asked Phantasia as he pointed at the swordman, which ended up instantly putting the man on extremely high alert.

"Why ask?" – asked Arthur.

"Hm? Oh, nothing really...." – replied Phantasia.

"I just hate your guts, so the small team up against you will do."

"..."

(Oh shit. He means it.) – thought the trio as they instantly get alarmed.

(I mean... Arthur did betrayed him, the story is quiet well known... So, he does have a bone to pick with him.)

(Then again... ) – Doremi nervously looked in the direction of the chain user who at the same time looked at her.

The two players were visible nervous to speak up, as they knew they could cause a "spark", which would cause the already existing chaos to get more chaotic.

However, at the same time, both of them knew who and what Phantasia is.... Making them nervous to trust the madman.

However, the single person here knew that they were most "fucked" in here.

(You got to be fucking kidding me right now.) – Arthur.... He realized he has to possible deal with all three players at the same time.

(Yeah...I’m not going to be stupid here and try to take them all on.)

(But... It doesn’t freaking looks like I’m going to escape, with all 3 of these fuckers blocking off each of my escape paths.)

(The moment I try to even break through, I will straight up get jumped.)

(I could use the [Sun Magic: Dancing Sun], to teleport away.... But the damn chain user will chase after me with his own teleportation... And in turn, the other two will gain up on me.)

Pretty much no matter what Arthur does now, he will have to fight.

But the question is here.

Will Phantasia only focus on Arthur? Or will he also focus on the other two players?

"So? Who is it?" – asked Phantasia.

Both Doremi and Apple made their reply at the same time.

(Shit!) - and both of them realized that they may or may not fucked up because of their hesitation.

"So, are you like what? Fucking with me or something?" – asked Phantasia.

"Look. We both want to kill him." – Apple suddenly spoke up

"He is hunting me. She is hunting him."

"We either win by having him die by our hands." – said Apple, which caught both Doremi and Arthur off guard.

(What the fuck is he planning?!) – thought alarmed Arthur and Doremi.
