With a big hand extended, he pulled her into his arms: "Let’s see if you dare to run around next time. If you don’t show up again, I’ll turn this whole Darknight City inside out to find you."

The reason Matthew Saxon didn’t doubt Scarlett Yates’s words was, for one, because he’d been worried for so long. When he saw Scarlett, he was more concerned about her safety, so he didn’t pay much attention to other things.

Another reason is that Darknight City is indeed quite big, and many places look similar. It’s not impossible for someone visiting for the first time to get lost.

"Exactly, sister-in-law. If you showed up even a minute later, Matthew was about to call in people to tear down Darknight City to find you."

Vincent Reed gave a mischievous smile, "Did you know there’s an alligator pond in the Saxon Family’s backyard?"

However, at the time, she didn’t take it seriously, thinking Matthew was more likely trying to scare her.

Before she could speak, Vincent continued, "There are two alligators in that pond, each four meters long. They can swallow two people whole with their mouths and love to eat live prey. One of them even got out once and almost swallowed a little girl from the Saxon family for dessert. You should be careful, and try not to go to the garden too often. If those two alligators happen to escape again, tsk tsk..."

"Four-meter-long alligators?" Scarlett’s face instantly turned pale.

Vincent laughed even more wickedly, "Yes, and their teeth are sharp and long. They can bite a person’s bones into several pieces in one go. These two alligators were personally selected by Matthew. If you’re interested, you can ask him to take you to see them."

With Vincent’s description, Scarlett imagined a vivid picture in her mind.

Her face, already pale as if covered with layers of powder, turned even paler.

Feeling the body in his arms become stiff, Matthew Saxon pressed his lips tightly and looked at Vincent Reed with a cold smile.

With a smile that didn’t reach his eyes, he said, "Vincent Reed, are you looking for a beating, or do you really want to be alligator food?"

"I was just introducing your pets to sister-in-law, giving her a heads-up and kindly reminding her. I mean well."

"Ah, it’s late now, and we should disperse. Matthew has a family and a wife now. It’s not like before, having beauties in his arms and party all night. Let’s disperse, everybody disperse. Let’s not delay the lovely couple’s intimate time any longer."

Vincent Reed was not having fun today, at all.

Recently, he was pursuing a single mother. By rights, with his qualifications, there should be absolutely no problem. As long as he made a move, the other party would be overjoyed to agree.
