The burly man knew he had to do something to get out of the quagmire he was in.

He began to direct all the Qi that he had in his dantian and the tattoos on his body glowed brightly.

The dragons all over his body seemed to come alive and their glowing forms started to snap at the vines.

It worked and his hands broke free from the hold of the vines.

With his hands free, he quickly held his palms against the body of water that was engulfing his head.

The burly man directed his Spirit Qi to his palms and the tattoos on his arms started to glow in a bright amber.

In the next moment, his palms started to turn red hot and some of the water started evaporating.

Just when he was able to break free, Lin Xuan Qi arrived at the factory.

And he wasted no time to stop the burly man.

Plop.

The burly man who was trying to free himself suddenly felt an oppressive aura onto his shoulders and he knelt to the ground.

"Argh." He couldn’t cry out in pain with the body of water covering his mouth.

The burly man glanced around frantically to see who it was.

His vision stopped when he saw Lin Xuan Qi standing not too far away near the entrance with a calm demeanor.

It can’t be, he thought.

His mother and his son were sent to get rid of him.

There was no way for Lin Xuan Qi to still be alive unless...

The very thought of it made the burly man angry but he couldn’t do much.

He was in a struggle of his own right now.

The burly man tried to ignite his tattoos again but couldn’t.

What he got was the oppressive aura being doubled.

Splat.

He lay on the ground with his body and four limbs pressed onto it, just like how his son was earlier.

And the same thing also happened to the burly man next.

Crack.

The sounds of bones breaking could be heard when the burly man was being crushed by the oppressive aura.

He tried to struggle back onto his feet but with the body of water and the pressure exerted onto him, it was impossible for the burly man.

It didn’t take long for the burly man to stop moving with a pool of blood gathered below his body.

When Lin Xuan Qi got the confirmation that the burly man was dead from the system, he checked on the surroundings. 𝐟𝚛𝕖𝚎𝕨𝗲𝐛𝚗𝐨𝐯𝐞𝕝.𝐜𝗼𝗺

Fortunately for him, the factory was largely intact except for the shattered entrance gate.

He proceeded to check on the guards and the workers.

Thankfully, everyone was alright except for the guards from the Sima Family who were attacked by the burly man.

Some of the workers were grateful for the talismans and thought that it was the blessing of the deities.

And some of them were glad that Lin Xuan Qi wasn’t hurt.

Their livelihood depended on him now and they wouldn’t know what to expect if anything happened to him.

One of the guards from the Sima Family came up to him and said, "We have informed Master Sima Ye and he should be here shortly."

Lin Xuan Qi nodded his head at the guard and he glanced at the body of the burly man.

He had never seen someone like the burly man or the old lady with her so-called grandson anywhere in Hong Feng City before.

They were most likely from other places.

"Master Lin!" Lee He Song’s voice sounded from behind and Lin Xuan Qi was glad to see that he was unharmed.

When he saw the blood that was stained on Lee He Song’s robe, he knew that something must have happened over at Bai Sha town too.

"What happened, Master Lee?" Lin Xuan Qi pointed at the blood stains on Lee He Song and asked.

Lee He Song, who was also happy to see Lin Xuan Qi unharmed, chuckled and said, "There were some robbers that had robbed the town and even the Kelp.

"I managed to stop them and thankfully, the only thing hurt was my sword.

"The fishmongers and fishermen had promised to continue their delivery by tomorrow."

"Kelp?" Lin Xuan Qi frowned and came to the same conclusion that Lee He Song did.

These rogue cultivators were out to stop his business from running.

He expected that the other partners of the Sima Family were also facing similar attacks from other rogue cultivators sent by the Six Pulse Sword Sect.

Sima Ye most probably wouldn’t be able to make it to the factory in a short time.

Since Ruo Zhi wasn’t around at the moment, it would be obvious who was behind it.

The supervisor quickly took over and ushered them back to their work positions.

It helped them to get over the commotion earlier with the familiar steady and peaceful work activities they were used to.

Soon, they settled down and got back into momentum.

Lin Xuan Qi glanced at Lee He Song and said, "I need you to help monitor things for the factories and wait for Master Sima Ye to arrive.

"Make sure to let Master Sima Ye know that there are, ahem, as many wounded as possible."

Lee He Song frowned for a moment before understanding what Lin Xuan Qi meant.

It would allow Sima Ye to have more leverage against whoever was behind the attacks and, if possible, to get some compensation from them.

Lee He Song nodded and said, "I will do so, Master Lin. It would be best if you made a move now."

He knew where Lin Xuan Qi was going next.

And he was right about it.

Lin Xuan Qi was worried about the mansion and he wanted to get back to it as soon as possible.
