The two werewolves appeared, they looked across the street and saw Annie having a date with Cyril.

Athi gritted her teeth, " This was not how it was supposed to go." She whispered with gritted teeth.

It was then that she paid attention to Adrian or the two corpses but when her eyes met his, all she saw was coldness.

Adrian handed them the two hearts, he was not even in the mood to eat them. The fact that these werewolves came after her pissed him off.

Before the two could say anything he took to the skies and flew back home. He wondered if there was a way to track the werewolves.

Suzie was surprised by his presence and when she saw his face she knew something was wrong.

She felt like the person she was looking at was not her lord but something else entirely, she got nervous.

" Greetings my lord, how was your night?" She asked with a low bow. He didn’t answer her question.

" Make me some coffee." He ordered and sat down with one leg over the other. He was looking at her but she felt like his eyes could pierce through her.

Adrian had called all the other Gemma werewolves, now he was waiting for them to arrive.

Somewhere hundreds of kilometres away from Lagos, the vampires waited for a report from the other two.

Their leader suddenly saw a bat flying towards him, it kept disappearing into smoke and reappearing somewhere else.

Its speed was incredibly high which is why they were used as messengers by the vampires.

Unfortunately they lacked any combat ability making them easier to take down should the enemy see them.

He took out the letter and opened it, after reading it he couldn’t help but smile. " It seems we won’t even need to act ourselves."

He told his army to be ready to move, he expected to meet the other two in Lagos not knowing they were dead.

Since it was night time, the vampire army marched forward heading straight for Lagos in a leisurely pace.

At the same time.

Adrian had decided to wait, he expected the vampires to come to Lagos themselves.

Days went by and nearly a week passed without any sign of the vampires, he was starting to lose his patience.

Fortunately he had his garden to take care of, his seeds had sprouted a few days ago and the plants were growing very fast.

His blood made them even stronger than they would’ve been otherwise. He had called one of the witches to check on them.

She was a druid, a witch of the nature covenant, their abilities revolved around forests.

It is believed their spells were modelled after the ancient god Pan but again those were just legends.

The witch was surprisingly at how well they were growing, since they can talk to plants she said they were very happy.

Adrian continued using his blood and now a week later, the two trees could already reach his hips.

At this rate, he might be harvesting the fruits in a month or two. The day passed, he didn’t check on Annie anymore.

He had fully accepted that he couldn’t be with her even though it hurt. Night came and he finally caught the scent he had been waiting for.

He called the werewolves and this time he called all of them including the Omega werewolves.

Suzie had advised him to keep the others a secret so his enemies wouldn’t know his true strength.

However he didn’t intent to leave anybody alive. The werewolves arrived, " I assume you know why I called.

Those of you who don’t, Suzie will brief you." He told them once then stopped paying attention to them.

Amanda was also there but she hadn’t turned yet, she just sat in the stairs and watched.

Suzie spoke, " Vampires have arrived, I can smell them, they’re not far from the city, you hand one task and one task only.

Kill, you’re not to ask questions nor are you to show mercy, is that understood?" The werewolves nodded.

They all left and followed John as he ran towards the direction of the vampires. Adrian was left with Sam and Suzie next to him.

He was just about to leave when black smoke appeared behind him, an astral projection of the demon appeared.

Its presence scared Amanda so much she practically ran up the stairs screaming, they ignored her.

" Speak." Adrian’s voice was so cold it froze the demon’s heart with fear. ’ He’s getting worse.’ she thought.

" I come bearing news master."

" Is it about my sister?" He asked coldly, that was the only interest he had in whatever the demon had to say.

" N..no master." It answered nervously.

" Then what use is your news to me if they’re not about my sister?" Just as he said that question he suddenly felt a splitting headache.

His body swayed and he almost fell but kept himself standing. He saw the earth split and fire mixed with bones and blood pouring out in an endless wave.

’ Damnit, what was that just now?’ this was strangely similar to that dream except this time he wasn’t sleeping and it was too brief.

" Master, the nameless one has found a path to the world of mortals, chaos with ensure and death with follow."

The demon warned, Adrian didn’t respond, his head was killing him. " When will this be?" Suzie asked.

Seeing as Adrian couldn’t speak she decided to take over. The demon didn’t respond. 𝐟𝕣𝕖𝐞𝐰𝕖𝚋𝐧𝗼𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝗰𝐨𝐦

She only answered to Adrian and had no respect for this woman but she suddenly felt Adrian’s gaze.

" I’m not certain of the exact date but it won’t be long now, I came to warn you to be safe master."

After saying that, the astral projection disappeared, the demon had returned back to hell leaving them with those words.

Adrian adjusted himself, he took a sip of water and his headache started subsiding a little.

’ I wonder, was that a vision?’ it suddenly dawned on him that he could be having visions.

She shook his head, this was not the time for that, he had a lot going on already, he’ll leave the demons for others to deal with.

" Lets go." Right now, he had vampires to slaughter.
