Chapter 122: Chapter 122: Wolves Arrive

Adrian caught up to the other werewolves and they left the city together. They ran through the night like shadows.

He could smell the vampires, while he couldn’t tell their exact number he knew there were a lot.

Instead of feeling pressure he felt excited, his needed to blow off some steam and they came at the right time.

They stopped after some time, he sent two scouts to gauge the numbers and strength of their enemies.

Amongst them was Isabella, her ability was enhanced eyesight. Unlike the basic eyesight of werewolves.

She could even see through bends and solid walls and her perception was enhanced as well.

According to her, when her ability is active, the world looked like it was moving in slow motion to her.

Of course that didn’t mean her body could keep up with that speed but that level of perception was perfect for scouting.

With her was a man with long unkept hair, he had a creep look. He was born with long ears almost like an elf.

When he turned, his ability was enhanced hearing. It was so powerful he could basically use echo- location better than a bat.

Nothing within a 6 kilometres radius could escape his ears, I’m terms of pure hearing he was even better than Adrian.

While Adrian could hear very far, he can’t make out the shape and size of an object through sound alone.

The two of them left and came back less than a hour later to report. " Two groups, one with 800 and the other with 997 vampires.

More than a thousand level 2, my lord, this might be harder than expected for the others."

Suzie commented but she didn’t need to remind him, while the Omega werewolves were strong.

They were only at the rank of a Viscount when compared to vampires. At most they can match level 2 plebians but weren’t necessarily stronger.

And they were definitely weaker than baron vampires at level 2. He frowned, their numbers were too great.

There was a possibility a lot of Werewolves were going to die. While Adrian appeared cold and uncaring to most.

He strangely cared about his pack like they were family, he was not going to sacrifice their lives unnecessarily.

Obviously they were at a disadvantage here, he will definitely have to personally take action.

" I have an idea my lord, instead of having them join the battle, have them surround the battlefield and work in pairs to take out the stranglers."

Suzie’s idea was feasible, " That’s good, let’s do that but you understand that means you’ll have to take on more enemies?"

They all grinned, " Yoh, girl, did you see Karon there was he there?" Melissa asked, the fact that Karon escaped last time was something that still bothered her.

Isabella shook her head, " I don’t know who Karon is." Melissa looked disappointed.

" Let move." Adrian ordered and the werewolves spread out and surrounded the vampire camp.

-------------------------------

It was night time and the vampires were about to move. Baron Dalaway was about to order them to continue marching.

He paused, " Something is wrong." He whispered but the others heard him and drew closer.

" What is it?" A younger baron asked not looking worried in the slightest but Dalaway had a terrible feeling.

An instinct born from centuries of battle told him a great threat was approaching and he never been one to ignore his own feelings.

He also caught multiple scents through the air running around the entire camp as if to encircle them.

’ We’re surrounded.’ he realised this was an organised attack but this strategy gave him a familiar feeling.

’ We’re being hunted.’ he realised this was how wolves hunt in the wild, they would encircle their prey and make sure there are escape routes.

AWOOOOO, they all heard a loud howl and Dalaway looked up, he saw flashes of silver in the sky.

" Take cover!" He shouted but it was too late, a rain of silver fell upon them, the ground shattered and blood and limbs flew.

’ Damnit, they’ve breaking us up.’ he realised the plan. He conjured a massive dome of blood to protect the army.

The other vampire barons helped and the rain of silver spheres failed to break through, they were about to sigh with relief when they saw something falling from the sky.

The looked up and saw a woman with steel like muscles descending from the sky with her fist pulled back while grinning.

" Ayaah!" The woman shouted and punched, BOOOOM, the barrier of blood shook and a crack formed.

Before they could heal it a barrage of punches followed. Deafening explosions of air made their hearts freeze.

The crack widened faster than they can heal it, " Hold on, don’t let her break through!" He shouted and barked orders.

He was trying to organise the army and structure it into something more useful in this situation.

Dalaway had went into a lot of trouble to shape his army into a proper army even though it was still rough.

But getting vampires to co-operate so well was more than impressive, he was very proud of himself.

Yet all of his efforts were shattered with a single attack, he couldn’t allow that but reorganising this army was harder than building it.

A lot of his soldiers were wounded even though they were healing and nearly a hundred had died.

Those from the Ezell house had it worse, most of them were level 1 and couldn’t survive that rain of attacks at all.

The woman on top of the barrier kept widening the crack. Dalaway had enough and took action.

Spikes grew out of the barrier and stabbed her on the chest she stomach but instead of piercing through they sent her reeling back.

There were only white marks on her body, these blood spikes that could pierce through metal like butter couldn’t harm her.

He finally believed Karon, ’ So this is the one he fought, I wonder how terrifying they’ll be at level 2, no we can’t let them grow any further.’

While the others were keeping the barrier active, he wrote two letters, gave one to a baron with more speed than others.

For the other letter, he used a shadow bat to deliver it. " When the barrier breaks, you run immediately, you don’t stop and continue running."

The baron nodded even though he didn’t think they could break a barrier made by so many vampires.

The crack had even healed and that woman was struggling to break through again, it was futile effort.

" Melissa, stop wasting your effort." They all heard a male voice. The woman named Melissa retreated immediately.

They saw a young man walking slowly towards them, he stopped in front of the barrier.

" I didn’t plan to act so soon but you have exceeded my expectations." Dalaway noticed the boy was talking to him.

The young man raised his hand and gently placed it on the barrier. Dalaway’s instincts screamed at him.

He saw an illusion of a giant wolf devouring all of them. " STRENGTHEN THE BARRIER NOW!"
