Chapter 126: Chapter 126: New Ability

In the domain of vampires where the sky was covered by a blanket of clouds as dark as ink.

At the very centre stood a mountain so tall its peak was hidden inside the dark clouds. Around the mountain was a forest of blood red trees.

This mountain was the headquarters of the main Vampiric Council, not the branch Karon had visited.

At the peak of this mountain sat a giant palace made of obsidian stone that glistened like polished metal.

Inside this palace were hundreds of figures clad in black robes with red inner layers. The robes had cloaks that hit their faces.

These people were sitting in a nearly circular formation inside a hall, opposite the door to the hall sat four thrones.

These thrones sat higher than all the other chairs. Three of them were empty and one had a figure whose face could not be seen.

The other people inside the hall kept arguing but that line figure kept quiet and listened. At the centre of the hall was a kneeling person.

In his hand, there was a letter. The discussion continued for dozens of minutes and when an hour had passed.

The lone figure on a throne raised his hand and the hall grew quiet. " I have decided." Everybody waited for him to speak.

-------------------------------

At the same time, in a forest of giant trees sat a lone hut. Inside that hut, a woman could be seen with her hands over a crystal ball.

Around the crystal ball were other objects, a bowl of blood, entrails of a dead rabbit and a red dust made of a particular rock.

The woman chanted in a low voice that sounded like whispers of a thousand dead women.

The crystal ball changed and twisted, images appeared and a trail of blood fell off her nose.

She convulsed as if having a seizure and this lasted fur nearly 20 seconds then she opened her eyes.

Blood fell down her eyes like tears, ate looked to be in extreme pain and her face was grim.

" This is why I hate dark magic." This woman was naturally Meggie, she had just used dark magic from the divination covenant.

It was more powerful and accurate than normal divination, it can even change the fate of others or seal it.

Making whatever future you see to be reality no matter how hard you try to change it but it came at a cost.

One, it requires the blood of virgin and things from dead animals making it highly frowned upon.

But she didn’t care about dark magic or how many would have to die if she can protect those she holds dear.

Meggie stood up, she spoke to the crystal ball, this was another spell but not one from dark magic.

It allowed divination witches to communicate with anybody through their crystal balls or any other divination artefact.

After saying what she wanted she teleported and disappeared. A few hours after she left, another person showed up.

She looked exhausted with wounds all over her body. The wounds were healing rapidly but everytime they’re about to close.

They open up again making her bleed even more, it was a miracle that she could still stand after losing so much blood.

On her hands was a massive black book made of leather. The book rustled as if to escape her grasp.

" Damn grimoire, where the hell is that bitch?" She cursed, she wasn’t used to things going her ways.

Yet everything that has been happening recently was out of her calculations, especially since she had to deal with fairies.

Those greedy fucks made her trade her soul for souls of 10 000 level 2 Espara, specifically Espara.

So now, not only was she running from witches but the organisation as well only to find the cause of all of this gone.

" If she dares go back on her word after I suffered so much I’ll skin her alive." She gritted her teeth and left.

At least for now she has lost those persistent fools on her tail.

------------------------------------

Adrian woke up the next morning feeling exhausted with a splitting headache. He had that same dream again.

But this time he didn’t find himself in the ball of fairies after the dream but found himself in the body of somebody else.

This person was practicing a teleportation ability, it was an incredibly powerful ability whose only limits were the user.

Unlike other teleportation abilities, this one would allow you to teleport basically anywhere.

The problem was, Adrian could feel this ability inside him now. The first time he dreamt he gained pack call.

Now he gained this ability to teleport, perhaps those dreams are his luck stars. He grinned and tested the ability.

The world around him turned grey and time seemed to have been frozen. He started walking.

The ground felt solid but he also felt like he wasn’t standing directly on the floor but on some invisible platform.

He tried to touch something in his room but his hand phased through. This was the limit of this ability.

It was teleportation in the way he understood it, it was closer to entering a different dimension.

In this dimension, time didn’t flow and you couldn’t interact with the outside world either.

The other limit was yourself, you can only stay here for as long as you can hold your breath.

The esper expenditure was not much, it was just the initial esper needed to activate this ability.

After that it depends on how strong your lungs are. This ability was perfect for Adrian, he could hold his breath for an insanely long time.

Unfortunately he still needed to breathe so he couldn’t stay here forever even if he wanted to.

He walked downstairs and phased his hand through Sam who was standing still like a statue.

He pulled it out and phased through the table then cancelled the ability, when he reappeared he startled everybody.

Then they noticed his arm was fused with the table. Adrian could also feel it sticking to his hand like glue.

’ Perhaps I should be an assassin.’ he thought to himself with a grin.
