Demon Slayer: Rise of The First Werewolf
Chapter 127: First Anchor Down
Time passed and nearly a month went by, during this time, Adrian had been taking care of his garden and in two days at most, they will reach maturity.
Coincidentally, in three days it will be a full moon and all of the werewolves will reach level 2.
They will also gain a new member of the pack, Adrian was curious what changes his blood will have on her.
However Adrian had an issue, his instincts told him there was something wrong, he couldn’t pinpoint what exactly.
To be safe he visited the organisation, he knew he couldn’t ask much but he requested they provided protection for Annie and her family as well as Sanchez in case something happens.
Naturally the organisation refused, their director told Adrian straight to the face that his problems were his to deal with.
Adrian was of the mind to slaughter everybody there, fortunately he had brought Suzie with him and she stopped him.
He accepted that their safety is solely on his and his pack. " I think my lord is worrying too much, perhaps nothing will happen.
Besides, this city is protected by a barrier, nothing above level 2 can enter and nothing at or below level 2 can threaten you."
He nodded, " Perhaps you’re right." Two days passed, on the day of the full moon he visited Annie.
Naturally he didn’t reveal himself and only watched her from the sky. It seemed her relationship with the guy named Cyril was progressing.
While this pained him, he believed it was for the best and left it as it was. Night came and the werewolves gathered.
Amanda looked terrified while the rest were excited. They went to the basement and chained themselves to the walls.
They didn’t even need Adrian to do it for them anymore, they knew the drill. Adrian looked around.
" Perhaps we need somewhere bigger." He suggested and the others nodded and agreed with him.
The full moon came and the transformations started. Adrian was also excited, after all the pack was about to receive multiple level 2 members.
In fact, only one will remain a level 1 and only because she was a newborn basically but she was the one Adrian was most eager to see.

While the werewolves were undergoing their transformation. Outside the city, two people arrrived.
Behind them, 20 more people showed, after sometime, 200 hundred others arrived. Naturally they were all vampires.
The first 22 stood outside the barrier and did not proceed. The other 200 went inside the city and spread out.
Three of those people were travelling together jumping from roof to roof like shadows.
They stopped on top of a roof of a 4 storey building. " Where did they say the anchor points were again?"
One of them asked but the other two just looked at each other then back at him and shrugged.
He clicked his tongue, " Damnit, well let search for them." They also spread out, Espara were shaken by this and so was the church.
Seeing so many level 2 noble vampires within the city took them by surprise and they were a bit scared.
The director and the high priest met each other, they were the only humans who can match a level 2 in the city.
The high priest was an occult mage so his power was highly dependent on the spells he can cast.
Technically the high priest can cast even level 4 spells, his worship object has accumulated a lot of faith.
Occult mages need something to channel to cast their spells, they couldn’t just cast spells like witches.
To begin with, they were mostly human without any esper inside them, they channel their magic through objects.
The most powerful of these objects were know as faith artefacts. Objects of worship were the most common.
The others used negative emotions, a weapon that has killed many people and accumulated karma.
Something bathed in the presence of ghosts and became a cursed object ect. When two met they discussed the current situation.
Both came to the same conclusion, this was because of the wolves. " Just stay out of it, unless they started harming too many people, it’s best we don’t interfere."
The high priest suggested and the director nodded, he agreed with the high priest on that.
The vampires searched the entire night, a few went to Sanchez’s house but found they couldn’t even go past her gates.
They gave up and left, from the information they got, she was merely a slave of the wolves and held no value.
The person the wolf king valued was that little girl. 10 vampires went towards the girls house.
Unfortunately they didn’t know the specific house nor did they know how she looked exactly.
Baron Karon had described her to them but Vampires had a hard time listening when anything involves humans.
Especially normal humans, for the same reason somebody would lose interest if you started describing chickens, unless you’re a chicken enthusiast.
The vampires looked around, they couldn’t enter the houses without invitation nor could they destroy these houses.
Doing that would just draw the ire of the organisation and probably the church as well.
They didn’t want that trouble right now, perhaps later when they accomplish their mission but before then.
They would prefer no disturbances. " No matter, everything will come to end when we accomplish our mission.
Lets the lords decide what to do with the girl, we should seek the anchors like the others, damn that witch for hiding them so cleverly."
One of the vampires cursed and they left to continue the search. Two vampires stood in front of a water fountain.
This fountain stood in one corner of the city and looked normal to anybody. There was no esper leaking from it.
" Are you certain this is it?" One of them asked, the other said nothing and grabbed his hand.
" What are you doing?" The first vampire asked but his partner did not answer and put his hand on the water of the fountain.
For a moment he felt nothing like his hand was in normal water. Then his blood esper started leaking from his body and being absorbed into the water.
He felt himself losing strength rapidly and his body fell limply, his partner grabbed him and pulled him back.
He stood up and tried to steady himself but almost fell over. " What..what the hell was that?" He asked in a terrified voice.
" I’m not certain, I think this water is from the God devouring sea of the elder realm. This fountain must definitely be one of the anchors."
They both nodded and threw a bag at the fountain then ran, a few seconds later a loud explosion shook the street terrifying those nearby.
