Extra's Pov: The Goddess Wants Me To Conquer Milfs
Chapter 59: The Ancient Turtle
The colossal being before Logan defied all notions of scale and comprehension.
It was a tortoise. An ancient, primordial tortoise, yet its mere existence warped reality around it. Its head alone spanned the size of an entire continent, a mountainous dome of weathered, leathery skin the color of deep earth and forgotten stone.
Deep wrinkles carved across its face like canyons shaped over eons, each fold carrying the crushing weight of forgotten ages.
Two immense eyes, glowing with a soft cosmic amber light, regarded Logan with calm, unblinking wisdom.
There was no malice within them. Only the patient indifference of something that had watched stars ignite, burn, and die.
Its shell rose behind its head like a living planetary body, an arched, impenetrable fortress dominating the twisted void of space and time itself.
The shell’s surface was a dark, obsidian-like black, yet it shimmered with intricate golden engravings that pulsed with a faint inner radiance.
These were no mere decorations. They were living runes and glyphs, ancient scripts that shifted and flowed endlessly, telling stories of creation, destruction, and the eternal turning of existence itself.
Rivers of liquid gold traced patterns resembling galaxies, continents, and forgotten civilizations across the shell’s vast curvature, gleaming brilliantly against the dark plates.
The creature’s body remained partially submerged within what resembled an endless ocean of liquid starlight. Its four pillar-like legs were thicker than mountain ranges, each motionless foot somehow still sending deep, rhythmic Thump... Thump... Thump vibrations through Logan’s very soul.
A faint eternal mist of golden particles drifted from its shell, each speck containing fleeting glimpses of entire worlds. The air, if it could even be called air, felt unbearably ancient, as though Logan stood before something that had existed long before time itself held meaning.
The ancient voice echoed once more, gentle yet carrying the crushing gravity of collapsing stars.
"Human..."
Logan was unnervingly silent. He couldn’t utter a single word before such a terrifying existence.
And so, after a prolonged, suffocating pause, the creature continued.
"You are the human with the highest potential I have encountered in a long... very long time,"
Logan let the words sink deep into the depths of his soul.
At this point, he was completely certain.
His novel was no longer within his control.
There was no creature like this.
Throughout the protagonist’s journey, he had never encountered anything remotely as terrifying as the being before him.
Logan’s thoughts spiraled wildly as images of the most terrifying experts he had ever created flashed through his mind.
Beings capable of bending space apart and destroying entire countries. The strongest existences within his novel world.
None of them could remotely compare to the tortoise before him.
Was it part of the otherworlders?
Had the otherworlders already begun entering the world before he ended the novel?
As Logan’s thoughts churned chaotically, the turtle continued.
"Your world... this star realm which I have rested within for a very long time... is heading toward destruction."
Logan remained silent.
"And the mission to save it rests upon your hands."
The words fell like an unshakable decree.
Logan’s mind spun violently once more. He wanted to ask countless questions.
This turtle seemed like a creature capable of crushing stars and galaxies with ease.
A threat capable of destroying a planet should have been insignificant before such an existence.
Even the ending he had originally written for the novel should have been effortlessly stoppable by this creature.
Why then...
"I am currently restricted from making any moves..."
The turtle seemed to perceive Logan’s thoughts and answered before he could even process them fully.
"Before that..."
A terrifying rumble echoed outward, followed by the groan of something tearing through space and time.
A colossal leathery hand blotted out the sky.
Then, slowly, a single sharp finger lowered toward Logan’s face.
Logan remained silent.
Astra remained silent.
Both simply waited.
If the turtle wished to erase Logan’s existence and end the novel itself, it could do so instantly, without Logan possessing even the slightest ability to resist.
The claw descended continuously until it stopped barely centimeters before Logan’s face.
"I can sense a weight within your heart..."
"With this weight, you will be unable to walk far upon your origin path..."
The turtle paused briefly.
Then a drop of liquid slid downward.
It looked solid, yet shimmered like flowing liquid, constantly shifting as it hovered before Logan’s widened eyes.
"This can allow you to briefly contact the underworld, so long as the person has not remained dead for more than a month."
It was an utterly absurd thing.
Logan’s eyes widened violently as his heart began pounding against his ribs.
This...
With this...
Evelyn.
That was the first name to surface within Logan’s mind.
"When you reach the Origin God Realm, I will summon you once more."
The turtle spoke as though delivering an unquestionable decree.
The Origin God Realm felt impossibly distant, yet the turtle spoke with absolute certainty, as though Logan reaching it within a year was inevitable.
Logan’s heart trembled violently.
Couldn’t the turtle see that he only had three months left to live?
If Daenerys could perceive that much, then surely an existence this terrifying could see far more.
So why... why was it so certain Logan would reach the Origin God Realm?
Perhaps...
Could it see something more?
The future?
Logan’s heartbeat accelerated wildly.
He had countless questions he desperately wanted answered.
Most importantly...
Did he succeed in resurrecting Evelyn?
Did he?!
Logan struggled to speak, but the suffocating pressure crushing down upon him was simply too overwhelming.
A strained groan escaped his throat as veins writhed beneath his skin. He fought desperately just to force out a single word.
The turtle didn’t seem to care about whatever questions Logan carried.
It had given a decree.
And it knew the human would obey.
Its gigantic finger slowly retreated.
However, midway through retreating, it suddenly paused.
Those galaxy-like eyes narrowed slightly, faint curiosity surfacing within them as they landed upon the little cat.
It could sense a trace of... Origin within this tiny creature?
How was that possible?
The finger that had begun retreating slowly moved toward the little cat instead.
Before long, it stopped directly before it.
The finger lingered briefly, then lowered, almost as though attempting to sense something hidden beneath the surface.
Its sharp claw gently brushed across the cat’s fur, yet caused no harm whatsoever.
The turtle was terrifying. Unfathomably so.
But unfortunately for it, it could not sense the system, an existence far beyond its own comprehension.
And at that exact moment, Astra said something utterly forbidden.
Something Logan, even in his wildest imagination, had never thought possible.
[Ding! Congratulations Master, your summoned creature has activated its Origin Ability and copied the God-grade Origin Ability, Origin Defense.]
Logan’s pupils trembled violently as he stared at the notification.
If the creature itself had already shocked him, then this sent waves of electricity ripping throughout his entire body.
His mind screamed in alarm.
How was this possible?
How could there be a level above SSS?
SSS was supposed to be the peak. The absolute highest level of talent one could awaken.
Then what exactly was God-grade?
Was it the rank above SSS?
Or was there something between SSS and God-grade?
Most importantly... was SSS truly the limit?
After all, if a creature like the turtle could still be restricted... didn’t that imply the existence of something even more terrifying?
’Is this even the same novel I wrote...?’
Logan’s pupils fluttered chaotically.
The questions he had desperately suppressed until now burst free all at once.
"I..."
He opened his mouth to speak, but the words died instantly within his throat, crushed beneath the overwhelming pressure.
Meanwhile, after failing to sense anything strange about the cat, the turtle slowly withdrew its claw.
It had no idea it had unknowingly gifted the little creature with something terrifying beyond mortal comprehension.
Gradually, the claw disappeared into the endless void.
Having nothing more to say, the turtle drifted away like ancient mist, vanishing just as suddenly as it had appeared.
Time slowly resumed flowing once more...
...But Logan’s perception of the novel had changed forever.
