Fated To The Dark Alpha
Chapter 187. Vampires at Coldshade City 2
Making their way to the broken part of the fence, they easily jumped over the rubble that was scattered around becoming another layer of the earth. They then made their way to the main building up ahead.
Taking his around the facility, Dmitri noted just big it was. It spanned more than a hundred kilometers, sheet thing even beyond Coldshad City. He nodded at the place, impressed by its share size alone.
They came to a stop at the smell of the metallic stench of blood in the air. They looked around but there didn’t seem to be anyone engaged in a fight with anyone so they wondered where the smell was coming from. Before he could take a step forward, Azrail stepped in front of him blocking his path.
"Allow me to have a look, My Lord," He said and walked ahead even before he could receive approval.
Looking in the middle of the facility close to the entrance of the main building, he noticed the blood stains on the ground. Though the bodies had been removed and buried, and the blood cleaned, not all of it was removed yet and the smell of it still lingered strongly in the air. He returned to Dmitri’s side.
"It is clear," He said and the older vampire smiled. This was how to treat a lord. An Elder vampire. What a shame that the vampires of the generation never took that into account. They were lucky that he was the only one still alive else most of those vampires would have been dead already because of their ignorance.
"Let us proceed then," he said and flaked ahead with Azrail walking in the same place as him. In a matter of two minutes, they had covered the distance and were now standing by the double door that led inside the building.
Azrail pushed them open and they walked inside like they were walking into to own home after returning for the night. There was no hint of hesitation as he walked and proceeded into the lounge area where they sat. Looking around, he found a mini bar at a corner with drinks of all kinds and Dmitri made his way and picked up a glass for himself.
"Let me know what is so good about the wine of this time that the humans like it so much." She said and picked up a bottle but he looked at Azrail, "Any recommendations?" He asked and the other vampire came over and glanced through the bottles, he licked and gave to him.
"This is better than the rest here," He said and uncalled the bottle.
"Then I shall drink this." Dmitri smiled and brought the glass closer to Azrail so would pour the wine in. "Such poor security. I have not been with any guards since we arrived." He commented and took a sip of the wine. "Not bad, not bad at all." He said with a nod of his head.
It was this scene that Jared caught in the surveillance cameras when he turned on his monitor. He was nearly dropped as soon as he saw what was going on in his facility. Two people whom he could easily recognize as vampires were inside, under his roof and no one knew they were there. They even went as far as taking and tasting his wine and commenting on poor security.
He didn’t know whether to laugh at the scene or he should be furious.
The audacity of these two!
Pushing a button on the wall, the alarm went on blaring through the night. The sound of it traveling beyond the walls of the facility. If these two want to play brave, he would make sure they don’t return to tell the tale.
Dmitri and Azrail raised a brow at the sound of the alarm. It was annoying but they have a head up that they have found out and soon they will be seeing humans running in ready to take them down. "It seems we are found out, My lord," Azrail said with laziness in his tone.
As if their thoughts were heard, armed guards came rushing in shortly. They were a team of ten members. There was a look of shock and surprise on their faces when they saw the two people sitting like kings, enjoying a glass of wine without being bothered about their presence.
"Hands in the air," The head of the squad tay cane shouted amidst the squad and made his way to the front with his gun pointed at the vampires.
Dmitri cast a glance at him and then turned to look at Azrail who hadn’t spared them a glance. "They are here now, show me how you handle a situation like this."
Azrail stood and bowed his head. "As you wish, Lord Dmitri." He said and took a step forward, his eye blazing red, looking like blood in his sockets.
"Give their leader to me alive, Azrail, he will make a good meal," he looked at them all and found two women among the squad. "And them too. Women always make the best meal for us males." With that said, he crossed his legs and took another sip of the wine, and watched on.
"Understood," Azrail said and attacked the leader, in a blink of an eye, knocking him since he was told to keep him alive.
Seeing as their leader was knocked out, they opened fire, raining silver bullets at the vampire who had attacked them but he was too fast. They couldn’t touch him nor did he allow them to even point a gun in the direction of Dmitri. In no time, the squad of ten members were left with three with one being down for the count and the other two dragged to the lord.
Jared saw this behind the screen and gritted his teeth. Was today the day all of his hard work would be ruined? First, it was a witch, Crysta who had destroyed half of his facility, meaning half of his achievement and now it was these two vampires with only one acting and while the other gave orders. He called for backup and stomped out of where he was heading in the direction of the lounge. He was going to kill these vampires himself if no one could do it.
Back to Dmitri, he looked at the women who had been forced to kneel in front of him and smile. "Don’t be rude to the ladies, Azrail, be a gentleman and help them up," he said with a sweet smile.
Doing as he had said, Azeial help them up but they tried to run away. Holding the firm, he looked at Dmitri who stood up and walked over to one of them. "Don’t struggle and I will make it painless." He said, taking her hair in his hair and inhaling her scent, "You don’t smell bad, little human."
"Stay away from me." She said almost spatting if Azrail had not held her neck from behind as if to snap it if she didn’t stop.
"A soldier indeed," he hummed. " You will be tasty." He said while adjusting her hair and his fangs sticking out. He sunk his fangs into her without warning and she hissed and tried to struggle but she was held still by him. She could hear her partner struggling and kicking and cursing but nothing seemed to enter into the heads of the vampires. Having no other choice she stood still without moving an inch. That was until she started feeling dizzy.
He drank too much and she would die if he didn’t stop. But he didn’t mind and drank her dry until she dropped dead on the floor. He smiled when he watched her body drop to the floor and then stared at the other girl with blood stained on his lips.
"She was tasty, but I think you will make a better meal, or dessert.’’ he said and looked at the man who had just stirred awake. "She was an appetizer, he will be the main cause and you," He held her chin, "Will be dessert."
With a swift move, she bit on his finger and glared hard at him. But instead of being angry, Dmitri smiles, "You would make a beautiful vampire." he said and caressed her cheek. "A pity I don’t intend to take any of you with me." He turned around to the man. "Hold her still, I will have her later."
The leader who has just regained consciousness was met with the smiling face of Dmitri the moment he opened his eyes. He stirred but before he could move he felt the fangs of Dmitry on his neck. He dropped dead a while later and Dmitri stood up and cleaned his lips. "He didn’t taste bad either."
"Had your fill, My lord?" Azrail asked because Dmitri rather turned in the direction of the door rather than the woman whom he held.
"I haven’t had a good meal in a long time, do you think I will be filled so easily?" He asked and Azrail shook his head.
"There are more humans coming, keep her for me."
