Fated To The Dark Alpha
Chapter 189. Vampires at Coldshade City 4 (Angry Lord Dmitri)
Lord Dmitir didn’t speak nor did he look away from the humans. What was happening was not unanticipated, but it still annoyed him greatly that humans had him cornered like this. In the past, they would come at them with wooden stakes but in the era, they came at them with guns loaded with silver and more sophisticated weapons. How bothersome!
"Kill anyone who gets in the way." He said and they both matched forward using the vampire’s speed and strength to run through the barricade of humans.
"As you command, my lord," Azrail said with a smile on his lips. He recognized this group of humans to be the ones who raided his City and killed some of the vampires under his protection. Right now, all he wanted was to kill as many of them as he could and drink from them as punishment and to satisfy his hunger and thirst.
Their purpose of coming was fulfilled. They have gotten first-hand experience with what weapons humans have created and developed. They are now aware of how advanced they were. With this informational knowledge, they can come up with ways to protect themselves. 𝚏𝕣𝕖𝚎𝚠𝚎𝚋𝚗𝐨𝐯𝕖𝕝.𝕔𝐨𝕞
While the fight broke out at the facility, somewhere away from them were Leeoy and Cillia who were looking for the vampires who were busy causing trouble for themselves. They had searched for them through the entire vampire base but they could any of them which made them worry.
Leroy could not help but suspect Azrail of doing something to his lord but Cillia looked at him like he was an idiot to think so. Was Dmitri so weak that Azrail would harm him and he wouldn’t be able to protect himself or cause a commitionthay would attract attention? Or was he stupid to follow Azrail blindly to a place he did want to go and knew it would be dangerous and cause him harm?
"So where do you think they are?" Leroy asked. He was exhausted. Though that was exaggerated because he could barely feel, he wanted some rest, not going on a wild goose chase.
"Dniri must have asked him to show him around, you are a busy vampire, he would not ask you," William said, putting some thought into it. "And besides, Azrail is lord, just like him, he feels much more relaxed around him. Being with someone who might know what it is to be who he is."
Leroy thought about what she had said and he had to agree that Lord Dmitri did act a bit differently whenever Azrail was around. He smiled a lot but did the scariest thing even with the smile on him. "We still need to find them," Leeiy said, sounding resolute. And that, Cillia could not deny, they have been out for too long. Dawn was almost upon them.
They were currently in a place surrounded by trees far from the vampire territory but still a small fraction of it. Here, no one stays because it borders a pack at the other end of it. They had come here because they thought to fund them here, maybe take a walk or just to see what the shifters were up to but they were nowhere to be found.
Cillia bent to the ground and drew a pentagon with her finger and some runes in small circles inside of it. She placed her palm on the pentagon and chanted a spell. White light emitted from it and her eyes glazed over becoming blank without color. When she opened her eyes, she looked furious, glaring in the direction of Coldshade City which Leroy mistook to be the Blood Moon pack because they were in the same direction.
"Are they at the pack?" Leroy asked. He looked angry as he stared ahead as if he could see the pack of shifters from where he stood.
"Coldsahde City," Cillia replied and a bigger frown appeared on Leroy’s face.
"What are they doing there?" he asked with clenched fists and jaws. This was absurd. With all the troubles the humans were causing, why in the Vlad would the lord go there?
"Getting themselves into trouble," Cillia said as if answering the question that ran rampant in his mind. Leroy did not waste any more time and picked her off the ground.
"We leave for the human City now." He said and without waiting to hear what she had to say, he ran using his vampire speed in that direction while trying not to get into the shifter pack that was right next to that City. That would prove troublesome if he were to go through the pack.
Cillia did not complain, she wanted to go too. Though she could have apparatus and they would have materialized right where the right took place. But he was still fast enough. And those two deserve a little beating for acting recklessly.
They got to the city and then made their way to the facility. They stared at the sea as if people gathered and had come to kill the two vampires and shook their heads.
"Should we stand to watch?’ Cillia asked. Though they were outnumbered, they were still the winning side.
"Why would you ask that?" Leroy asked with a slight glare in his eyes.
Cillia shrugged and crossed her arms on her chest. "They are doing fine from what I see," she said. Though she could tell by now that Dmitri must have caught her scent among the numerous ones around him she still wanted to go to his aid only when he would need help. She cursed at their sense of smell.
"You can stay here and watch, I will help them, I don’t like being amid humans, and neither does Lord Dmitri," Leroy said.
"Go ahead," Cillia nodded without malignant effort to go with him.
"I thought you loved him?" Leroy asked. He could not believe how they treat each other sometimes. Sometimes they were very possessive and sometimes, they wouldn’t mind seeing the other struggling for survival.
"I do," She affirmed with a casual tone. Leroy shook his head and looked away. She was not the only one who acted like that, even lord Dmitri was like that. Maybe they did because they knew the strengths of each other. Because he did not know what else it could be.
He left her side and headed to the nearest human to him and ran his hand through his back. His claws dug into the human’s back and his hand came out through the front knocking his heart out of his chest.
Cillia tsked at the back when she saw that and before walking away from where she stood and joined the fight.
From where he was, Dmitri had long seen them standing there and he could even do all that they said but he didn’t give any sign that he did. He knew right from the very moment they arrived that she was there and when he looked at her she was glaring at him and there was a frown on her face. He knew she was mad at him but there was nothing he could do to appease her anger at the moment so he will just deal with that after he is done.
He looked at his side and found Azrail moving like a one-man wrecking through the humans. He was wounded, bleeding and some Mary’s of his skin looked burnt probably due to a direct contact with silver but that didn’t seem to bother the vampire as he was still killed with a sinister look in his red eyes. He was one fine soldier.
His attention was drawn back to those in front of him when he felt a sting of pain shoot through his arm at the contact he made with a silver blade which the human he had his eyes had used to cut him, without any more delay, he grabbed his head with one hand and then smashed it into the other killing him at once.
"That must have been painful." Cillia’s voice came from beside him and he turned to look at her. She must have apparated there because he did not hear her coming and the distance between them was still much for to have reached him that quickly.
He pulled her to himself with one hand and the other hand shot out and his claws slit the throat of another soldier. It happened so fast that Cillia almost missed what was happening. "Be careful, Cillia," He said and released his hold on her.
"Says the one who walked in enemy territory unprepared." She shot back.
He looked at her briefly and then turned to look at his front. "Let’s talk about this later," he said knowing that she would most likely scold him like he was an insensitive child.
Jarred’s eyes went wide when he saw just how easily a vampire who was referred to as the lord killed most trained soldiers. He couldn’t imagine how they felt when his claws went through their bodies and came out on the other side. The ground was painted with blood, similar to how Crysta had left but this time it was much more.
This was not how he expected the day to go and not how he expected his hard work to come to an end. He looked at the woman who now stood beside the vampire and recognized her from a photo that Crysta had shown as her worst enemy. From the way he had protected her, Jarred could tell they were more than partners with cooperation.
He pointed his gun at her and fired after putting a silencer on it. Though they might hear it coming, it should get close enough to her before that.
And just as he had predicted, the voice did hear it and pulled her out of the way but it still grazed her arm and she winced in pain. Blood rushed out and she clutched with her hand and a white glow appeared on her palm as she tried to heal it.
Dmitri’s demeanor changed. If he looked dangerous before, then he was more of a demon now than a vampire. They had hurt his woman in his presence and right before his eyes.
