Chapter 190: 190. Vampires at Coldshade City 5 (Compulsion )

Even the temperature around the facility seems to drop leaving a chill in the air.

Everyone felt the danger and subconsciously turned to look in the direction they had felt it coming. Though he stood with his hand around her waist possessively, they could but ignore the red flags and the warning bells that had gone crazy in their head telling them to be wary of the danger that was about to befall them.

His eyes stared directly at Jarred who was making his way out of the facility. He had come to understand that they were not fully prepared to face the non-human creatures. He was well aware of the shifters and vampires or so he thought but he never expected that they would be some among those who could withstand the effect of the silver and would kill so many after that.

He should have known that for Crysta to have warned him about them, they would be very powerful. "F*ck," He cursed at his mistake and continued going back. He meandered his way through until he got to the back and headed to his car and hoped nothing happened to it.

Dmitri stood beside her and made sure she was not bleeding anymore when he left her side without saying a word. He moved through the crowd, leaving a blurry image wherever he went, stopping for a second to kill and move to the other.

Even Leroy and Azrail stopped fighting and stood following the image that moved through the humans killing each in less than a second. Even Azrail had come to understand that the Elder vampire held the witch close to his cold, dead, and unbeating heart. He always stayed away from or tried as much as he could to not provoke either the witch or the lord.

From what they were seeing, there was no need for them to act anymore because the enraged vampire had taken care of almost every human that was present. He took hold of the neck of the last human and stared into his eyes, "Find him and kill him." he said, and the human who was struggling stopped and nodded as if he had lost control of his own body.

This act shocked Leroy and Azrail. Even Cillia was shocked when she saw him do that. Compulsion. He had just compelled a human to hunt down Jarred and kill him. Vampires could compel their prey but very few have the will strong enough to compel a human and put them in a trance, making them do whatever you want them to do. The compulsion would last long without breaking if you have a strong will but it will break eventually and the human will regain their senses.

But once again, Dmitri was different. He was an elder and they doubted his compulsion would ever break unless he wanted to break it himself but what reason does he have to want to break it?

Was he that angry? The two vampires looked at the Coven’s head with wary looks. If a little scratch from a bullet could get him to do that,

He walked over to Cillia, took hold of the hand that still had her blood on it, and licked the blood. "Are you alright?" He asked, looking into her eyes.

"I am fine," She said and looked in the direction the human had run off to carry a task he was not even aware he was doing. "Why did you do that?"

He frowned at her for asking that question. "We shouldn’t I?" He asked. Was she now taking pity on the human who tried to kill her? He found that ridiculous. "You want to spare him?"

"No," She replied and pecked a kiss on his cheek knowing he was angry. "I was just surprised you did that, nothing else." The frown on his face eased up after her reply and he let go of her arm and turned to look at the other two vampires that had to stand behind him.

"My Lord," Leroy said with a bow of his head. He could finally breathe after making sure that Dmitri was alright. At times like these, he was very valuable and he shouldn’t be making decisions similar to what he did tonight but he could say that to him because it would be disrespectful to do so. "I am glad you are alright."

"Did you think a human could kill me?" He asked but he didn’t sound offended. Leroy did not reply, but his silence spoke volumes of the unspoken words.

With their current technology, and the possession of silver, humans were deadly creatures and the fact that they were out to hunt and kill their species made them even more so.

"You must be Azrail," Cillia said as she looked at the vampire whom Leroy was insecure about. He did look like a threat to anyone even to those in power and she could understand why Leroy was feeling insecure.

"I am, Lady Cillia," he said and Cillia inwardly. He must be an old vampire from the way he addressed her, older than Leroy. She now understands Dmitri would want him around.

"The sun is don’t upon us, let us go now," Dmitri said as he gazed at the East. Some humans would have woken up by now and he didn’t want to have to deal with any of them, at least not anymore.

"Before we go, I would like to do something first," Cillia said. She walked a few feet behind Dmitri and raised her hands to the sky. "This place is an eye sore, it best to remove it completely." She said. The wind started to gather. It began taking up little dust until it became bigger and bigger until a tornado formed. It remained in the same position as if waiting for her command. "We can leave now," she said and Dmitri picked her up in his arms.

They started leaving and she snapped her finger before the tornado started moving and destroying all that was in its way. It stopped only when the facility was leveled to the ground leaving nothing but rubble.

Please read,

I have decided to end Fated To The Dark Alpha as soon as possible to create time for me to write my other ongoing Novels. As you all already know, I am a student and my time is limited. Writing many books at the same time makes it hard and the story’s progression slow, so I have decided to focus mostly on this for the next few days/ weeks.

If you are here and are reading any of my other Novels, be patient and don’t leave, I will return to them or release a few Chapters weekly until this one is completed.

And if you haven’t read my other books, please give them a try.

[ Natasha’s Revenge and The Dragon King’sMate] are available here in Webnovel too.

Thank you for your time and for joining us through the journey, I am grateful and very appreciative of you.

Keep reading until the very end
