Kora stood at the mouth of the cave rubbing her sleepy eyes with the back of her hand completely unknown of the complicated and weird looks directed at her.

Lazarus was quiet as his eyes looked at the little girl who was not so ordinary in his eyes anymore. The more he to know her, the more he felt he had not known anything yet. Just what was she? How was able to get into the cave unharmed? Was she sleeping while they were...?

Dana was shocked as she looked at Kora but not as much as Lazarus was though her expression was more severe than that of Lazarus it was understandable because Lazarus was used to hiding his emotions, unlike Dana.

Kora finally put down her hand from her eyes and saw how they looked at her, and turned back and looked into the cave thinking they may be looking past her but there was nothing behind her except the empty cave. She pouted a little thinking that they were mad at her for sleeping while the battle was going on. She couldn’t help it okay, it was cosy in there and she forgot about the fight momentarily.

She came out and approached Lazarus first. Tilting her head up a bit she said, "I am sorry, I won’t sleep again next time. Don’t be mad."

Lazarus whose eyes have been following her every movement in a daze was pulled back to reality when he heard her apologize for... Sleeping? He blinked once and bent kneeling on one knee to be on the same level as her. He looked at her face carefully as if trying to see through her soul. He started deep into her eyes without saying a word to her. She blinked after a minute had passed.

"Are you mad at me, Lazarus?" Kora asked. Lazarus shook his head but still said nothing to her. A lot was going on in his head at the moment and he was still unable to figure out what she was to him and his pack or her identity as a shifter because she had no beast in her yet. "Then why are not talking to me?" Kora asked.

Lazarus opened his mouth but before he could say anything, Dana quickly intervened. "He must be really tired that is why. You know, he came looking for you as soon as he heard that there was trouble here." Dana said picking her up and into her arms. "Let’s go back inside and rest, he will talk to you when he is well-rested, okay?"

Kora nodded, "Okay." She said and wrapped her hands around Dana’s neck and her head rested on her shoulder. "I will come and see you later, Lazarus, rest well, okay?" she said and closed her eyes enjoying the comfort she got from Dana.

The trio enters the pack house. Dana took Kira to her and Lazarus’ room since Kora’s room was a mess right now. While Lazarus went into his office and sat down behind the desk still in deep thought. Raven and Ezra came in shortly and saw him sitting there seeming lost to another world. They paused at the door for a moment and exchanged a look before heading in and sitting down to face him.

He gave my reaction to their presence which signified that his mind was in a completely different place from his body.

"Alpha!" Raven called but he got no answer. This got them a bit worried as he got up and shook him on his shoulder, "Lazarus!" He called again and finally, he got a reaction from him although it was one that they have never seen before. The look on his face was that of someone who was lost as he looked at them for a while as if he did not recognize them.

When he seems to have gotten himself together, he spoke, "I want to know everything about the cave at the back of the pack house. Get me the information you can get and leave nothing behind."

His words confused them even more. "Any special reason, Alpha?" Ezra asked. They were already confused as to how Kora was able to know that they would be an attack on the pack and now this... Just what was going on?

"Kora was in the cave and nothing happened to her," Lazarus said and the eyes of Raven and Ezra opened wide in shock and surprise.

"What?!" They said at the same time unable to believe what they have just heard.

Darren had left the after-party of the marking ceremony and went to his study. He was mad, beyond mad at what had transpired out there before he was marked as the Alpha supreme. Though everything still went kinda smoothly, he was still not as pleased.

That rogue, what did he do it? Right, he said he was sent by Lazarus. But why would Lazarus come after him? He has not done anything to Lazarus and his pack that would warrant such a thing from him. That too was such a cheap and ridiculous move as well.

"Calm down, Alpha," Mateo said to him. "Everything is all over now."

"He said, Lazarus, what did he mean by Lazarus?" Darren asked. "Why would Lazarus attack me?"

"I have asked someone to investigate, the investigation is still ongoing, once have the information, Alpha, I will let you know," Mateo said.

"Just calm down for now. We will take care of everything." Levi said standing next to Mateo

"Alpha, don’t forget, this might also be a trap to set you against the Blood moon pack. We need to think about this very carefully." Lucy said and sat down on the seat next to Darren. "If he is the one, Lucinda and I will gladly go over there and terrorize that pack."

"I am all in on that, Alpha," Lucinda said plopping down beside her sister. "It has been a while since we did something as interesting as this."

Darren looked at them he knew they were right, he needed to think properly and calm down and wait for the investigation report. He sat down and close his eyes without saying a word. He didn’t need to because these four people in here right now understood him even when he doesn’t speak.
