Chapter 217: 217. I will give it to you

Seeing the aura flaring from her, Cillia immediately became worried for them both. She could not let them hurt each other. Standing up, she stood between them, they would have to go through her to get to each other. She was sure he wouldn’t do it but what about her?

She turned her face to Dana backing Dmitri. She would not take the risk.

Azrail, Leroy, and Julio did not understand what was happening at all and they just stepped aside to watch. It was not like they could do anything to stop them.

Lazarus leaned to her ear and whispered, "Calm down, don’t let him get under your skin," he didn’t like the way the vampire looked at his mate but he tried and maintained his cool but did not mean she would do the same as him.

"You know we can all hear you?" Dmitri asked and Lazarus shook his head. 𝙧𝙚𝙚𝔀𝒆𝓫𝓷𝙤𝓿𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝙤𝓶

"Look who is acting like a child," he said, and the vampire only got angrier.

"I think it is time we left," Kora said looking at Darren who nodded his head.

"Let us go," he said. This was able to reduce the tension in the air but did not stop the glares they shot at each other.

Kora had to walk over to Dana and take her by the hand. And they saw themselves out. The vampires followed shortly, falling a foot behind them. While Cillia remained inside.

Reaching outside, Darren’s phone rang and he had to answer seeing that the caller was Mateo. He looked at Kora who gave him a nod. Kissing her forehead, he walked a distance away from them. There are too many unwanted ears that would listen to their conversation.

With him gone and the other shifters already in their cars, Dmitri walked closer to Kora and she wondered why he wouldn’t leave her alone. They had already discussed what needed to be discussed so why was he here now?

"What do you want now?" she asked. She looked behind her, feeling a heated gaze, from the side of her eye, she saw two men standing beside a tree far away from them. She ignored it and looked ahead to where Darren had walked off.

"You have asked for my help to find your shifters, don’t you think it is time that you gave it to me?" he asked, looking in the direction where she had given a glance before looking back at her. "I need it to wake them, they will do a better job finding the shifter," he said and she sighed.

It was true that to wake those particular vampires from their slumber, her blood or strong magic would be needed. If a witch were to release that amount of magic, he or she would be out for a long time and they didn’t need that happening now.

Kora shut her eyes when the hostility in the stare on her back increased and she fully turned to face them and then opened her eyes. "Your rights seem to have an issue with me being here," she said and he turned also.

He saw the two shifters, one with a missing arm and the other casually leaning against the tree and staring at the one with one arm. He had a bored look in his eyes. To Dmitri, one of them looked familiar, the one-armed shifter did look familiar.

"Who are they, Leroy?" he asked because it was only he who would know who those two were.

Leroy looked in that direction and then he frowned. Dmitri raised a brow when he saw the frown. "They are the former Beta and Gamma of the Shadow Moon Pack, Collins and Sebastian," he informed them.

Dmitri smiled at the new knowledge. He never cared before to know who they were but now... it seems his rogues come from far more interesting backgrounds than he had thought.

"Technically speaking, they are your rogues, Luna Kora," he said smiling as he stared at her while she glared at him.

She turned to face them once again and realized that it was only one of them who seemed to hate her so much that she could feel even with so great a distance between them. She released her aura and he dropped to his knees, coughing. Collins immediately stood up straight when he saw that. He raises his gaze from Sebastian on the ground and stares at Kora but nothing happens to him. He sighed in relief internally. She was after the one who looked as if he was going to kill her the very next second.

"That is very unfair," Dmitri said but his smile had not left his lips. "To use your ability as Gaia to undue even a rogue who is not under you as their Luna," he completed his word.

"He had it coming," she replied and released him. "As for the blood, I will give it to you," she said and the smile on the vampire’s face widened.

"How generous!" he said but was ignored by her. They watched Collins help Sabestian to his feet, heard him reprimanding Sebastian, and then led him away. "Someone is vengeful," he commented after seeing Sebastian push Collins away from him, sending a glare to Kora, and then look at where Darren had gone off to.

"It will be his downfall," she said with care. She looks away. "Lucinda," she called as if the witch was right there with them. In a few seconds, Lucinda appeared there smiling brightly.

"You finally called for me, Luna, I thought you would never remember to call me," she said, walking over to hug her.

"I have something for you to help me with," she said after the hug."Draw my blood, he wants to use it for something important, you will stay with him and the witches who will be doing it," she instructed and everyone around her frowned.

"What is so important that you have to give him your blood? Don’t you know what it can do?" she asked, placing her arms on her hips, looking like a mother reprimanding a child.

"I do, that is why I want you to stay with them," Kora replied.

"You don’t trust me?" Dmitri asked. Kora opened her mouth to speak but Lucunda beat her to it,

"Who would trust you, Vamp?" she asked and Dmitri growled.

Even Leroy was offended by that but Azrail smiled instead, taking interest in the witch that had just joined them. It was obvious that she knew who she was talking to but she didn’t seem to care and that got his attention. He should be mad but he wasn’t.
