"We leave for Blood Moon pack tomorrow," Darren said as he rose to his feet and left the office. Mateo and Levi just watched as he left not knowing what was going on in his mind. They hoped he was not going there to cause trouble because of what had happened.

They were not sure if truly Lazarus was the one behind the attack as he has no reason to want to kill Darren. But whatever the case may be, they will find out the next day.

Without much delay, Mateo linked the people whom he thought they would bring along with them to the Blood Moon pack. While Levi went to find Leo and Logan because they would also go with them.

"Don’t be stupid, he’s still mad." Levi heard Lucy’s voice coming from the dining area. They gathered to eat after the party was over because they didn’t have the chance to eat while it was still going on as they had to keep an eye on everyone present both for protection and to spot potential danger among the crowd of people. "You can talk to him when he is calm. Go to question him now and you are most likely going to have some missing limbs." She said again Looking at Leo.

"When will that be?" Leo asked. Though there was food in front of him, it was barely eaten while Lucy and Lucinda were almost done with theirs. "When will he be calm?"

"You want to talk about what happened tonight, don’t you? You should get used to it and accept things the way there are. He didn’t get to be Alpha supreme by being gentle and warm, but by being ruthless." Lucinda said as she emptied her plate.

"Are you still shaken from that? Levi asked as he steps in and pulled a seat for himself. He looked at Leo and Logan and knew he was right. "Listen to Lucinda, you should get used to it. I believe you still find it hard to believe and accept because of how he was portrayed when he was younger and stayed in this pack, but everything changes with time and you need to know that. Darren may not have been strong as a kid or showed any signs of shifting for ten years of his life does not mean he can’t be who he is today." Levi said and pull the plate that was in front of Logan and started eating the food on it.

"Alpha said we are going to the Blood Moon pack by morning, so go get prepared." He informed them with his eyes on the food before him.

"Was it Alpha Lazarus behind the attack?" Lucy asked and puts down her fork, she too had finished her meal.

"We are not sure," Levi said with his mouth full. He raised a finger asking for a minute. "His pack was attacked at midnight." He said after swallowing what was in his mouth.

"WHAT!"

They all exclaimed right after Levi had finished speaking. They looked at him for more details but he seems more interested in his food than their questioning gazes.

"Are you telling us or not?" Logan asked and Lucinda bobbed her head. "If you were not going to explain why did you tell us about it?" Lucinda asks.

"We barely have two hours until it is sunrise, can’t I just eat and enjoy my meal before a trip?" Levi asked.

"Fine, we will ask Mateo about it," Lucinda said and rose from her seat. Everyone else followed her lead and left the dining area heading for the alpha’s office knowing that he would be there.

Blood moon pack.

Lazarus sat in his office with Dana beside him going through different books there was already a pile of books they have finished reading on one side of the table while they had some others in their hands, and the untouched ones in a different place.

"The librarian Will be here soon," Raven said breaking the silence in the room. Everyone shifted their eyes from the books in their hands to him.

"Why? What is she coming to do here?" Dana asked. She couldn’t see the need for her to come when they have the books that they needed.

"I asked her to come," Raven said and puts down the book he was holding on the table, he leans back and looked at Dana and Lazarus. "Whatever we are looking for, she is most likely to know if we tell her about it, she could help shorten our search."

"When will she get here?" Lazarus asked.

"Soon," Raven answered. Right after he said that there was a knock on the door." She is here," he stated and went to open the door.

A young woman was seen standing there with a soft smile, "Beta Raven." she greeted.

"Who are you?" he asks. She was not the person whom he remembered as the librarian. The librarian was an old shifter who had been in the pack for a long time.

"I am Jade, I am serving as a stand-in for the librarian for a few days until she returns." She said politely. Raven looked at her with a frown, the girl was not surprised by his looks as they all know what kind of a sourpuss he was. Though a sourpuss, he was a good beta and no one minded his attitude.

"You can’t help us with what we are looking for, you can leave." He said and turned around slamming the door in her face.

"Where is she?" Ezra asked.

"I sent her back, she won’t be of help." He replied and sat back down in his seat. He picked up the book he dropped earlier and appended it again.

"Why did you send her back, at least you should give her a chance to say something," Ezra said with a frown.

"She is a stand-in, not the librarian we are looking for," Said Raven.

"Oh!" Ezra said and gave a glance at Lazarus who did not seem bothered. He saw Lazarus pause for a moment and his eyes glazed for a while and he knew he was being mind linked. After he was sure that the conversation over the link was over, he asked, ’Alpha, is there a problem?’ through the link.

Lazarus looked at him but said nothing instead he turns Dana and spoke. "Alpha Darren will be here before noon, make sure Kora is not in the pack house when he gets here." All eyes were now on him after he said that.

"Why would the supreme Alpha come here? Is he upset that we didn’t attend his marking ceremony?" Dana asked.

"I don’t know," Lazarus answered honestly. He was too busy with his affairs to worry about what happened at some other Alpha’s pack. "Make sure she isn’t around when he arrives." He stressed his words again.

"Okay, I will make sure of that," Dana replied, she looked outside, the sun was almost up on the horizon which meant that Kora must be up and awake already. She must be preparing for school as of now. "I will go check on Kora."

"Why can’t she be around when he arrives?" Raven asked. He would not mind whether she was there or not but for Lazarus to have said that she should not be there gave a different feeling to him.

"Until everything about her is sorted out no one outside this pack must know about her. Is that clear?" Lazarus said.

"As crystal," they replied even though his reaction to anything to concerns Kora was always a bit different than what he would usually give but they could understand why he said it, as of now, Kora was still a mystery to them if they were asked about her they were not sure they could provide a good enough answer.
