Darren and his group arrived at the Blood moon pack a minute after Kora left the pack house, she was reluctant and didn’t want to go to school but Dana barely manage to convince her, what ever it was that Dana told her no one knew but they breathed in relief when she was gone.

Now here was Darren and his beta and gamma and some people whom they could more or less recognize as his guards and the two rumour of women who went with him everywhere. They were also some Alphas who went with him since they were all present when the rogue mentioned Lazarus as the one who sent him.

Darren came out of his car which he drive alone while everyone else paired with each other. They were received by Lazarus, Raven, and Ezra who led them inside the house to the waiting lounge.

Once they stepped into the house, Darren stopped at the door, a complicated look appeared on his face and he sniffed the air, he picked up a faint scent of earth after rain. The beast within him struggled to come out the moment he registered that scent. He tried tracing it but it was too faint, whoever the scent belonged to must not be in the house anymore. Darren closed his eyes and put his beast under control before opening them again. He could see that everyone was now looking at him questioningly.

Even Lazarus looked at him and furrowed his brows at him. He didn’t know what he was doing but Lazarus felt like he did not like it. He glared at Darren without even knowing he was glaring at him.

After a few more seconds, Lazarus moved and they all followed, getting inside Darren caught the scent again it was still faint but he could trace it to the second floor, he looked at a certain door that was right after the stairs and frowned. Lazarus followed his gaze up and so did everyone else, when he saw the door that Darren was looking at he growled dangerously drawing everyone’s attention to him including Darren. Darren then growled back at him facing Lazarus’s glares head-on.

’Is anything the matter?’ Mateo asked Darren through the mind link. Darren was acting oddly and out of character. ’Alpha?’ Mateo called when he got no response from Darren.

"State your purpose for coming here, Alpha Darren," Lazarus said no longer bothering to escort them to sit first. "If there isn’t anything serious, then I will excuse myself, I have things to do." Courtesy was long forgotten by Lazarus when saw where Darren was looking.

"Is that how you treat your guests?" Darren asked as he stared daggers at Lazarus, he didn’t like being looked down upon, and what Lazarus said made him feel that way. "Such poor hospitality."

"Guests should know their boundaries," Lazarus said, he looked up and back at Darren, "And stick to it." Raven and Ezra who was by his sides also did not budge and stood with him as they too glared at the visitors.

"Then you know," Darren said. Everything that was happening was confusing everyone else as they could not understand what they were talking about. "Do I need to ask, Alpha Lazarus?"

"Why are you here, Alpha Darren? I am sure you didn’t come to my pack to look around my pack house." Lazarus said tauntingly. "If not then let’s get straight to business."

"Watch your tongue, Alpha Lazarus." One of the Alphas who came with Darren said. They could all feel the tension in the air between these two alphas, "Don’t forget you are a suspect in a crime against to supreme alpha." 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝕨𝕖𝗯𝚗𝚘𝕧𝕖𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝕞

"Alpha Marcus of Eclipse pack," Lazarus called, shifting his gaze to Alpha Marcus. "Tell your supreme Alpha to stop snooping around in my house and get to the point of his visit."

’Alpha, why do you think he is looking in the direction of her room?’ Ezra asked Lazarus through the mind link.

’I don’t know. Whatever his reason may be, I don’t like it.’ Lazarus said linking back to his gamma.

’Why don’t you like it?’ Raven joined the conversation. They both looked at their alpha waiting for his answer.

’I don’t know.’ he said. ’Kora belongs here and no one has the right to take her, at least not until she is old enough to make such decisions. ’ Lazarus said. Raven and Ezra sighed and returned their gaze to Darren and his group.

"Are you going to keep us standing? Such poor hospitality." Lucy commented when she noticed that they have ended the link with each other. Raven glared at her as if he wanted to strangle her. "What? I am just saying." she shrugged when she met with Raven’s death glare.

"Everyone, welcome, and please follow me." Dana’s voice was heard behind Lazarus. Everyone looked at her and knew at once that she was the Luna of the pack. She walked up to Lazarus and touched his hand lightly to help him calm down. She gave him a nod and he nodded back at her. "This way, please."

"May I know why you are here, Alpha Darren, That too without a formal notice?" Lazarus asked after they were all seated. "I do not appreciate such a visit, I still have some cleaning up to do."

"Since you’ve asked, I will say what brought me here," Darren said. He sat upright and gazed directly at Lazarus whose gaze didn’t falter either. "I believe you have heard of what happened at my ceremony, am I correct?"

Lazarus nodded. "I have heard rumours."

"Then you know that you were called the instigator, the one who planned my assassination," Darren said his voice getting deeper and eyes darker as he looked at Lazarus.

"I also believe you know what happened here, shall I also assume you to be the one behind it?" Lazarus asked, he had the same look as Darren. They both looked like they were ready to tear someone to pieces any moment now.
