Fated To The Dark Alpha
Chapter 29. Weird
"There," Kora said pointing at a small hole in the ground. "She is hiding there." She said as there stopped and looked at where she was pointing. She turned and looked at Raven pursing her lips. "Will you help me get her out?" She asked now looking at Darren.
Before Darren could answer, Raven had gone ahead of them and went on his knees as he stretches his hand to pull the little girl who was inside. "There," he said and dusted his hands. "She is out now let’s go."
"Kora pouted but said nothing. She walked to Emily and checked on her. "Are you fine Emily?"
"Yes, thank you," Emily said with a smile. "And thank you too, Beta Raven." he did not respond but just stared at her.
"tsk. What a way to hurt a child’s feelings!" Lucinda said. Raven smirked.
"Don’t mind him, okay? He is grumpy, he will ruin your mood if you mind him." Kira said and patted Emily’s shoulder when she saw her sulking expression.
Lucinda laughed at her words not minding that she was laughing at a beta to the strongest werewolf alpha. While everyone else tried to be civilized and held back their laughter. Darren smirked as he glanced at Raven.
On the other hand, Emily nodded her head and wiped her tear and started at Kora with sparkling eyes. " Let’s go back now, those people were mean," Emily said and Kora nodded and took Emily’s hand and led her away from the other people who followed them nonetheless.
Lucy held Lucinda back and let everyone go ahead of them. She wanted to talk to her sister and she couldn’t think of a better time than now. "What do think about the girl?" Lucy asked with a serious expression.
"I think she is cute," Lucinda replied and Lucy glared at her for playing dumb. "I know, are, can’t you take a joke?"
"Be serious about it then," Lucy said placing her hands on her hips. "You know what I am talking about."
"I have the same thought as you," Lucinda said finally becoming serious. "There is something about that little girl."
"You have been closer to her longer than I have, did notice something?" Lucy asked. Because of her sister’s free-spirited nature, she was better at attracting people better than her. She thought she must have seen something or felt something from the girl that she was unable to. "You have, haven’t you?" Lucinda nodes. "What was it?"
"I started a little flame on my palm back inside the school in front of her and it nearly went out of control had I not put it out immediately," Lucinda said and looked calculatingly at her sister. "I think they were looking for her."
"I thought that much," Lucy said nodding in agreement. "But how do you explain Darren’s behaviour towards her?"
"What do you mean?" Lucinda asked looking both puzzled and intrigued. " How does he behave around her?"
"Weird," Lucy said and turned to look at the school behind them." What about Luna, what do you think about her?"
"A wolf with powers never heard of it before but I can’t deny what I have seen," Lucinda said. " What do you think she is? What do you think they both are?"
"I don’t know about the little girl, but I think the Luna is a hybrid," Lucy said and looked at her sister. "We should talk to alpha Darren about it and hear what he would say."

The pack house.
Dana had helped Lazarus clean up and they were now seated facing each other on a sofa in their bedroom. Dana had her gaze down and her hands fiddling with her skirt. "Lazarus... I..." She began but did not know what else to say to him. Her heart was pounding against her ribcage afraid he would reject her after knowing she a hybrid.
"Look at me, mate," Lazarus said calmly. He didn’t look like he was in a hurry to hear her which comforted her in a way. "I just want to know your truth, didn’t be afraid of me." He walked over to her and sat beside her. He took her hands in his and rubbed them gently. "Now relax and talk, I won’t be rash."
Dana nodded at him, she closed her eyes and drew in deep breaths before she started talking again. "I have always felt... Different." She said and took another deep breath. " I had always had these powers within me but I don’t know their origin so I kept it hidden afraid that I would a freak. A shifter with a witch’s abilities." She said looking anywhere but at Lazarus.
"When I met you, I wanted to tell you but then I found out how much you hated witches and I became afraid you would reject me if I told you so I kept it to myself. No one else’s knows about it until Kora." She said and raised her head to look at him and see his reaction. She is aware of the bond he feels with Kora even though he did not tell her, she too felt connected to her in a way that she is not able to explain.
Lazarus looked at her can’t and patiently with no reaction to the name Kora which she just mentioned. He was looking at her with understanding and waiting for her to continue.
"The first time Kora saw me, she told me that I am a spell caster, I denied it but then she said that I am a hybrid and I could not deny that because I didn’t think it would be possible for my to shift and use spells if I wasn’t." Dana looked at Lazarus who had been quiet the whole time and felt remorseful for having hidden her truth from him. But as the silence dragged on she started to feel uncomfortable, she was glad that he wasn’t mad but his silence was a little heavy and uncomfortable. "Say something, Lazarus, please."
"Do you know who your parents are?" He asked after much thinking. He wanted to know. She had never mentioned her parents to him since three years ago when they found each other.
