Dana held him close not letting go. She was afraid he was still angry she could feel his emotions from the mate bond, she could his anger, pain confusion, and more. She wishes she could be of help and ease his unease. "Are you okay?" Dana asked as she looked at his face. "what happened?" She asked in to hope to get some answers from him. There was nothing she could do if he does not tell her.

Lazarus heard her question and did not know how to answer her. Was he angry because those two witches become a little too comfortable in his pack? He did not know the answer or was he angry that they were after Kora? If so then why is he so protective of her? He had only known her for less than a month. And what was the connection he felt with her? He pulled Dana into a hug and held her tight against himself. He was glad she came in time to stop him before he did something that he would have regretted.

"It’s okay," Dana said as she pulled away and placed her palms on his arms drawing small soothing circles on them. "We will take care of her." Lazarus nodes and said nothing more. "I also feel a connection with her."

Lazarus’ brows knitted when he heard her. So he wasn’t the only one! "What do you mean?" Asked Lazarus.

"I don’t know how to explain it," Dana said calmly still drawing circles around his arms. "But I know it is there." She added. "Do you know why it is there?"

"I don’t know why it is there but we will find it soon, I hope," Lazarus said and looked at the cave where Kora and Emily had just emerged from. Emily was smiling and seem reluctant to leave but Kora pulled on her arm and dragged her out. They stopped when they saw Lazarus and Dana looking at them.

"Alpha, Luna!" Emily greeted and bowed her head. Lazarus nodded at her but Dana had a look of confusion on her face.

’Kora led her in’. Lazarus said through the mind link when he saw the look on her face. ’She tried entering at first but could not until Kora took her hand and led her in’. He said again and a look of surprise flashed across Dana’s face for a brief moment.

’I didn’t know she could do that’. Dana said with a nod of the head.

"What are you doing here?" Kora asked looking between Dana And Lazarus.

"Didn’t you hear anything from outside while you were in there?" Dana asked and the girls shook their heads. "Hmm, I see." She said and ruffle Emily’s hair. "Go inside now, we want to talk to Kora."

Emily nodded and then gave Kora a hug which she did not return. "It’s beautiful in there, thank you for showing me," Emily said, sounding happy. She broke the hug and then ran inside the pack house. 𝐟𝕣𝗲𝕖𝕨𝗲𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝗲𝚕.𝗰𝚘𝐦

’Alpha, should we allow Alpha Darren and his men to stay the night, he insisted on it’. Lazarus heard Ezra’s voice in his head.

’Show them to the guest’s rooms’. Lazarus forcibly replied. He was so close to saying kick them out but after remembering that they had almost reached an alliance before the attack and a call from Kora interrupted them, he changed his mind.

"What is in there?" Dana asked Kora, leading her to a protruding root on the ground and sat down on it. Lazarus heard her and followed them also waiting for the answer from Kora. "Can you tell us?"

"Don’t you know what is inside?" Kora asked, shock was clear in her dark eyes.

Dana shook her head, "We don’t know, no one knows." She said and made Kora sit on their lap.

"Its big inside and very clean too, I thought someone always cleaned it." Said Kora, Dana and Lazarus paint rapt attention to her as if she was a teacher and they were her students. "There are paintings inside there on the walls, I think they beautiful." She said smiled.

"What was painted inside?" Lazarus asked sitting next to Dana and staring at the girl on his mate’s lap. He had to admit that his make looked good with a child in her arms.

"Wolves, there are paintings of wolves inside. Some are green, some are red and some are blue." She said trying hard to explain it to them.

Lazarus and Dana looked at her with knitted brows. They have never heard of red green and blue wolves before. "Are you sure?" Dana asked caressing her Kora’s hair lovingly. Kora nodded. "What else did you see inside?"

"The are crustal lights inside, blue, ref and green colors, just like the wolves." She answered.

"Can you take us inside?" Lazarus asked, he wanted to see it himself. Dana agreed with him and Kora had no choice but to lead them inside holding their hands.

Getting inside, they saw what Kora had told them except that it was more beautiful seeing it themselves than being told about it. Lazarus felt a sense of familiarity seeing those paintings of the wolves but he has never been them before. He felt the kind of familiarity he felt towards Kora when he saw the paintings. Now that he had the answers she was looking for, he was left with more question unanswered and a higher mystery to solved.

Dana was not any different, she looked around the place to find something, anything that could serve as a clue for them to get the answers that they needed but they found nothing no matter how hard tie looked around. They cake out still led by Kora because they could not come out on their own.

Kora went to her room, feeling a bit sad that she did not get to see Darren when she came back inside. When she inquired of him, they fold her that he was inside a guest room. Begrudgingly, she walked up go her room and slept off.

Dana and Lazarus did the same as it was already late at night but they could hardly get some sleep with the many thoughts that were running rampant in their heads.
