Pierre’s eyes twitched.
And shortly after, Roy appeared back in the APC with a deeply disappointed look. Pierre had ended the sign-in immediately he saw his avatar’s face in the mirror.
"Tch. What a coward. Some of us live like that every day," Roy muttered.
’Story Handicap, huh? That’s a new one. I guess it does make sense. Love is primarily about attraction and charisma, and the more he upgrades those stats, the easier the levels will be for him, no matter what. So, the system is nerfing him. Ha!’ Roy laughed a bit but frowned. ’Wait, this isn’t good for me, too.’
The next day, Roy woke up and waltzed towards the main hub of the military vehicle, and saw that someone else was sitting in his mentor’s seat.
He stopped rubbing his eyes to focus his vision. From the back, the person had stylish hair, blonde hair swerving and flowing like a woman’s.
Tap... Tap... Tap...
Roy stepped forward slowly and halted when he saw the side frame of the individual.
"You’re awake," the male-looking lady with the voice of Master Abraham said. "We’re going out to the gym area to work out in ten."
"Master... Abe?" Roy voiced out and tilted his head.
"What?" Master Abraham finally turned to face him, but Roy felt like a wave of something he couldn’t explain had hit him. He thought he would burst out laughing, but nothing was funny anymore.
’I-I want to be cool like that too!’ Roy exclaimed in thought and ran into the bathroom.
"System!" He called out for no reason and summoned the Magic Hair Spray.
The spray bottle materialized in his hand, and he took a second to stare at himself. His current hairstyle was short and scattered, but he occasionally combed it straight to look like a bowl cut.
Roy raised the bottle to his hair and in the next second...
Pfff!
Pink glitter surrounded the area, and when he came out, Master Abraham didn’t turn to look, but spoke with a sly smile:
"I see you have seen Mount Tai."
"Yes. I have." Roy closed his eyes and breathed as though he had just breathed fresh air for the first time in his life.
"Others must too."
Roy nodded. "Yes, my good man. They must."
Master Abraham smirked proudly, and Roy too, and they let out a loud villainous laugh.
They were high on increased charm.
The master-student duo walked to and fro to the Control Room of the underground bunker, where Sunfire, Dr. Gretsch, Dr. Sally, and Wolfman were idly passing the time.
"Yes! We see the hair, goddammit," Sunfire said after the duo passed by the door the fourth time.
Abraham and Roy flicked their hair back and finally waltzed in like esteemed men of honor.
"How do you do on this fine day, my good man?" Roy spoke in a bold tone and kept his face and mouth in a mug manner. Whereas Master Abraham had his hand covering his face, and was standing proudly behind.
"Amazing," the C-Class Executioner kept on repeating at random times.
Sunfire stifled a laugh and pointed at Abraham. "Even you? What kind of item gave you back your hair?"
Since Abraham was already a strong executioner by the time his hair began to recede, hair transplant surgery was practically impossible since his body regeneration was faster than the surgeon’s needle. Hence, the reason why he settled for a wig.
Black Zero walked up to her, took her hand, and kissed it. "You have such beautiful eyes, milady."
Sunfire froze. "Ah-W-What are you doing?!"
She pulled her hand from him and looked away, flustered by his charm.
Dr. Sally laughed. "You two are clowns."
Then, he flicked his head towards Dr. Sally, and she blushed and was stunned.
Master Abraham stood upright and covered his face slightly with his hand, and repeated with a sinister smile, "Amazing."
"I never thought Black Zero could be so playful," Dr. Gretsch commented.
Whereas Wolfman laughed in all caps.
Roy stepped toward the two men and asked, "Do you want to have a taste of the good life?"
And took out the two canisters of Magic Hair Spray. The contents of the bottle didn’t finish that easily. The more one went on spraying, the longer one’s hair became, so both Roy and Abraham had to stop at some point.
Wolfman stopped laughing, and Dr. Gretsch cleared his throat, both unable to hide their greed as they stared at the hairspray. 𝑓𝑟ℯ𝘦𝓌𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝑐ℴ𝓂
Next, the four men sat around a small round table, holding teacups on saucers, laughing like royal men.
"How do you do on this fine day, my good men?" Roy asked Dr. Gretsch and Wolfmen.
The doctor flicked his hair and nodded, holding a smirk. "Amazing."
"Amazing!" Wolfman said like a proper gentleman.
And Master Abraham nodded with the same sinister smirk. "You have all seen Mount Tai. Amazing."
And then, they all fell silent briefly and burst out laughing, sounding like they had just finished cooking some immensely villainous scheme.
Sunfire clicked her tongue and scowled. "Men. Such simple creatures."
Outside, the Witherflower was wreaking havoc on both humans and abyss creatures, but when in here, one would think all was well. Dr. Sally stared at them and said absent-mindedly, "Roy is quite something."
Sunfire had a look of realization, looking at the laughing men, and smirked. "Really, I would’ve burned this place down if I were alone with them for even a week."
Dr. Sally laughed and agreed, "Seriously."
...
A week later.
Roy sat on his bed, writing down what he had learned so far about everyone else’s sign-in systems in his personal diary.
