Matthew was caught in an awkward situation for a moment. But, it wasn’t for long as he composed himself.

"Ahem, let me make a call. Though, I cannot guarantee that he’ll tell me where exactly he is." Matthew coughed slightly as he said.

Immediately after, he took out his phone and searched for Michael’s contact info. He was obviously not given the info by Michael. But, it wasn’t difficult for Matthew to get his contact information.

After swiping on the screen of the phone for a little while, he brought the phone close to his ear as he waited.

Just a few rings in and the call was received. Immediately, Michael’s voice came through the phone’s earpiece, with the words said surprising the old man.

"Hey, why are you looking for me?" Michael asked, his voice calm.

This was the first time that the old man was contacting Michael. Therefore, he at least expected Michael to ask who was calling. But from his words, he clearly knew who was on the phone, despite the old man not having uttered a word.

"Grandson, actually, there is someone looking for you. I don’t know if you are free now to meet her?" Matthew came back to his senses and asked.

At the same time, he put the phone on speaker, so that the other three could hear what Michael was saying.

There was a moment of silence before Michael asked, "Who? I don’t think I had any business with anyone recently. And, if it’s anything related to a company under my name, there is someone in charge."

The old man glanced at Margaret, not sure on how he was to respond to this. Margaret on the other hand said nothing, as if she did not notice the old man’s gaze.

Left with no other choice, the old man understood that he had to handle this himself. So, he replied, "This, is actually something that is related to your father. After you meet her and talk, you’ll understand."

This time, Michael’s response was immediate, "Okay. I’m currently at Skyline Grand Mall. We can meet on the tenth floor, I will be waiting outside the elevator entrance."

Immediately after that, the call ended, leaving the old man unsure of what to do. He had initially wanted to tell Michael who it was but he was going to meet with, and her appearance.

But this kid, he just ended the call without paying attention to some details. As for calling him again, the old man was not sure if he should do that or not.

"Okay, I’m going." Margaret stated as she stood up.

Rachel followed, with Matthew and Newton also standing. They escorted the two ladies out of the mansion, and watched them as they departed, heading towards the city center.

Newton seemed to be deep in thought as he gazed into the distance, despite the car having already disappeared.

The old man obviously noticed this, but he had nothing to say. He understood what Newton was thinking about. But what could they even do about? This time, they just hoped that things would go smoothly.

It would be better if Michael and Margaret did not become enemies. Otherwise, things would become much more complicated.

Of course, if Michael was targeted by the Rico family, Matthew had already decided that he would decide with Michael. He had already failed his son, so, he was not willing to abandon his grandson as well.

Outside a luxury store, Michael ended a call. At the same time, through the earpiece, Onyx informed Michael about the possibility of the person who might want to meet with him.

And as he listened to the information, Michael could not help but raise his brows slightly. He wondered, just what was that lady thinking?

Maybe, she thought that his father was not dead, and so, he wanted to come to him and ask for his whereabouts? Though, that seemed to be so far-fetched.

Regardless, Michael shook his head, deciding that he would meet her, to know what she had in mind.

As he put his phone away, he glanced inside a luxury store, where the two ladies, Kate and Carol were trying out different accessories.

They tried on necklaces, rings, and a few other accessories, with each one of them looking beautiful. For a moment, Michael wondered, did the two ladies want to buy everything inside the store?

It had been quite a while since they arrived at the mall. When they woke up in the morning, after breakfast, Michael took Kate for a test drive in her new car, that he had gotten her the previous night.

After that, he made arrangements for the whole way that had been ruined due to the fight with Jackson to be repaired.

Since they had arrived quite late the previous day, the two ladies still wanted to look around the city. Therefore, without a destination in mind, they left the mansion.

They just happened to be passing by the location of Skyline Grand Mall, when Kate suggested that they should go in and take a look.

Those two ladies, they were moving from floor to floor, as if they never got tired. For Kate, that could be understood, as she was a mutant. But it was different for Carol, who was just an ordinary person, but even then, having moved through several floors now, she seemed to be quite energetic.

The mall was located in the heart of the capital’s commercial district. Skyline Grand Mall was the largest shopping and entertainment complex in the nation.

Surrounded by skyscrapers, luxury hotels, office towers, and major commercial centers, the massive building occupied an entire city block.

The structure stood twelve floors above ground and extended three levels below ground. Its exterior was covered in glass and steel that reflected the surrounding skyline.

Large digital displays were mounted on several sections of the outer walls, while the mall’s name was prominently displayed above the main entrances.

Beneath the building were three basement levels used for parking, logistics, storage, and maintenance operations.

At the center of the mall was a massive atrium that stretched from the ground floor to the glass roof at the top of the building. Several elevators and escalators connected every level, allowing movement throughout the complex.

The first floor contained bookstores, hobby shops, stationery stores, and art supply retailers.

The second floor focused on electronics, computers, smartphones, gaming products, and other technology-related stores.

The third floor housed furniture retailers, interior design showrooms, and home decoration stores.

The fourth floor was dedicated to sports, fitness, and outdoor equipment.

The fifth and sixth floors were dedicated to luxury brands, jewelry stores, watch retailers, fashion boutiques, and cosmetics.

The seventh floor served as the mall’s entertainment section, featuring arcades, bowling facilities, virtual reality attractions, and other recreational venues.

The eighth floor contained one of the nation’s largest cinema complexes, including private screening rooms and premium theaters.

The ninth floor was dedicated to casual dining and international food outlets.

The tenth floor housed high-end restaurants, cafés, and private dining facilities overlooking the city.

The eleventh floor contained luxury spas, wellness centers, beauty facilities, business lounges, and member-only services.

The twelfth floor was reserved for exclusive facilities, including private clubs, executive meeting halls, event venues, and VIP areas.

Above the building was a rooftop sky garden and observation deck that provided a clear view of the capital’s skyline.

As expected of the biggest mall in the nation, it was flooding with people. This was especially considering that today he was on a Sunday, and many people did not go to work.

Therefore, the number of people moving in and out of the mall was extremely high. It was mainly because of the number of people here, that Kate and Carol were interested.

When coming into the mall, Michael had already gotten a layout of the mall, which was why he was able to pinpoint exactly where to go when he had to meet someone.

Just as he was preparing to enter into the store, Onyx informed him about the fact that Margaret had already left the Santos mansion, and was coming over. It would take about 40 or so minutes for her to arrive.

Michael did not pay much attention to that, as he entered the store. The moment that they saw him coming in, both Kate and Carol walked over.

While Carol was restrained, Kate got close to Michael and showed him the necklace around her neck.

"How does it look? Is it beautiful?" Kate asked while glancing at Michael with an expectant gaze.

"If you put it on, it definitely doesn’t look beautiful." Michael responded as he shook his head.

Kate’s expression shifted when she heard Michael’s response. With a displeased expression on her face, she glared at him and asked, "Are you trying to imply that I’m diminishing the beauty of this necklace?"

Carrol, who was watching from the side expected Michael to deny. But she was left dumbfounded when Michael nodded his head. At that moment, a thought appeared in her mind, ’Is he really this dense?’

But as she was wondering about this, Michael, looking at Kate, who was just about to blow up, smiled and said, "With that necklace being around the neck of such a beautiful lady, with you taking all attention for yourself, how can anyone acknowledge that the necklace is beautiful?"

Kate, who was just about to blow up faltered. And as his words sunk in, a faint blush appeared on her cheeks.

"Well, that really is unexpected. I would never have expected that you are such a romantic guy." Just before Kate could say anything, a voice that was full of laughter reached their ears.
