Chapter 65: Sending a Message

Earlier, as soon as Earl moved his sword, Felix crouched down. He knew he’d execute the Mist-Splitting Line, which was mostly a horizontal strike, focusing at the center of his body.

He then aimed the tip of his wooden sword at his abdomen and struck precisely at where he aimed at.

If it wasn’t because he quickly repositioned himself away from Earl, his saliva might almost landed at him,

Earl held his breath, lost the grip of his sword, as he finally kneeled to the floor. He couldn’t breath for almost a minute as the pain was shocking.

Felix, meanwhile, merely spared a glance at him, as Wayne and others finally attacked him.

When he collided with Wayne, he grinned.

"Three left."

Wayne gritted his teeth out of frustrations as he began to intensify his attacks.

But at a cost of stamina consumption that made him estimate he could only last for half a minute of continuous battle against Felix.

Felix, on the other hand, still had more energy to spare—both stamina and energy wise.

The fact that he realized he was playing with them delighted him.

I thought their plan might worked on me, but...

He continued to defend their assaults with ease.

Who would have thought it be this easy?

Eventually, every five seconds, another two outer disciples were injured by him.

They fell to the floor, holding their breath while caressing the part where Felix struck them to ease the immense pain.

Felix and Wayne were the only one left standing. They were in a stand off, gazing at each other.

Felix took a deep breath and exhaled. He beamed a smile at Felix as he stretched his limbs in a relaxed manner.

He said, "You’ve exhausted me so well, huh? I might be able to only participate for another single round today."

Wayne gritted his teeth and asked with tone seemingly growling, "What are you aiming here in the dojo? How did you hypnotize Master Shen and the instructor into believing that what you are doing is fine?"

"Is it not?" Felix shrugged.

"How is it fine that you are destroying the reputation of the dojo?"

"Destroying? Or challenging?"

"Don’t dare to twist it. If only you knew how much the disciples hated you because the other dojos has been mocking us online. I doubt if there will be any more beast tamers whose interested in signing here."

Felix was silent for a while before replying, "You should know that if I ever achieve my aim here, it won’t just be limited into this. I’ll aim higher and higher until this dojo will become popular because I came here."

Wayne was taken aback. He was about to retort to him, but the sudden realization held him back.

He narrowed his eyes at Felix, causing the latter to smirk.

"You’ve finally realized it now? You’re just thinking of the current situation, not of how much it will affect the dojo in the long term. Think about it, will it really be possible for me to reach Top 1 in mere two months, while the current Top 1 took... I don’t know, two years or more?"

"Four years."

"Then, how do you think stronger am I to reach Top 1 in two months? While being eighteen years old?"

Wayne fell silent. He was already twenty-years old and could not defeat an eighteen years old, who just recently anchored his soul to another dimension.

What was even more embarrassing was he had to gather four other more individuals with so much great potential and strength, and yet still he failed.

Suddenly, he desired to know about Felix’s secrets. He wanted to know just how in the beast tamer’s world did he grow so quickly that he reached the same level as them when he had just summon a week ago.

Unable to hold himself, he asked, "How did you grow so quickly? Do you have a secret?"

"You don’t?"

Wayne frowned. He was about to retort, when Felix continued.

"Everyone has a secret. Just because my secrets are more appealing doesn’t mean yours has lost its value. Sure, I have secrets and obviously, it would be the answers to your questions, but do you really think that by knowing it, it will help you grow, too?"

Wayne immediately replied, "Of course."

Felix instantly shook his head. "No, you won’t. I guarantee it. I already knew the answers if someone was being curious about the reason why I grew stronger, but if it would really benefit you by knowing it through force, you’re wrong."

"How can I believe what you’re saying?"

"Do it."

Wayne was surprised.

Felix’s face has already turned solemn as he asked once more, "Do it. Kill me. Torture me to reveal my secrets.

There will only be one result after you tried everything."

Felix paused for a while before continuing. "Disappointments and regrets."

Wayne fell silent. He gazed at Felix’s grave expression, conveying how serious he was.

However, Wayne wouldn’t be shaken by it.

He said, "I still believe—"

"But, If I ever survives your attempt in harming me..."

Felix’s eyes grew cold and he exuded a menace aura that sent chills on Wayne running down his spine.

Felix sauntered towards him, every step echoed a noise that fasten Wayne’s heart beat.

Wayne was completely frozen now. He could perceive Felix’s anger and how serious he was at the moment. If he made a move, everything might turned into worse.

What was left for him to do...

Was nothing.

"If after you tried everything just to know my secrets, it will not only be limited to this."

Felix arrived in front of him, and struck him eight times in a single second. 𝑓𝑟ℯ𝘦𝓌𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝑐ℴ𝓂

He struck precisely at every part of his body, where Wayne would feel immense pain, causing him to scream loudly.

His scream reverberated not only inside the mists, but also outside, startling the outer disciples greatly.

They glanced at Instructor Albert, who was outside of the mists, staring through it as though he could clearly see what was happening.

The outer disciples wanted to ask him to make a move, but held themselves back.

Since instructor himself wasn’t, why would they order them?

Meanwhile, Instructor Albert simply didn’t want to interrupt them. Felix was clearly teaching Wayne’s a lesson.

If he interrupted and became defensive on Wayne, it would compel the latter to think that the instructor believed that Wayne’s threatening words to Felix was fine... even more so, in making a move against Felix.

He glanced at Felix and grinned.

This brat acts like an adult, huh? I almost forgot he’s only eighteen years old.

Felix stared at Wayne, who was rolling on the floor while screaming in agony.

He steeled himself, trying to get used to making his fellow humans screamed after striking them mercilessly.

As though the Guide heard his conscience striking him, she assured him.

[Don’t be guilty, host. This is the only way to eliminate any potential threat on you. If you’ll be kind to them, they might not only harm you, but your family, too.

I’ve witnessed this many times back in my world. I’m giving you a warning.]

Felix nodded. Just imagining himself and his family getting into trouble from the greedy humans infuriated him...
