Legendary Beast Tamer: Starting With Legendary Rank Sword
Chapter 67: Krisha’s Dream
The outer disciples’ face turned grim. Just thinking of being in Wayne’s situation made their hair stood on ends.
Ben smugly said, "I was right. I’ve been covering that guy’s actions for a while now. In fact, the editorial page is all about him."
The outer disciples weren’t even surprised anymore. They simply turned silent, knowing that it was inevitable, to begin with.
Ben noticed their reaction and said, "I’m giving you a warning, don’t harm that guy. I can understand why you all hate him, but going too far will only bring heavy consequence."
One of the outer disciple stared at him with unpleasant gaze.
He snorted. "You’re becoming defensive to that guy."
Another outer disciple chimed in. "More like becoming his favorite fan. You should be ashamed for that."
Ben shook his head. "Just to be clear, as a journalist, I can’t be biased. So, don’t worry, even though I’m his fan, I won’t leave out the part where he arrogantly challenged us...
No, Master Shen himself."
The outer disciples nodded in agreement.
"That’s only just..."
Ben beamed a smile at them. Then, he urged the outer disciple to share more information about what occurred earlier.
Of course, he did not only limited to one outer disciple, he interviewed more others until Wayne and his comrade earlier themselves.
...
At this moment, Felix and Krisha were having dinner. They were unaware that a journalist has been on their tail ever since they appeared.
Their current atmosphere was soothing and joyful compared before. Felix couldn’t be more happier than seeing Krisha happily engaging conversation with him.
As they finished eating, Felix initiated the conversation to proceed to their room.
"What do you plan now? Will you be practicing or meditating?"
Krisha asked, "You won’t be practicing outside?"
Felix shook his head. "I’ll be spending my time starting tonight with Moon more. To establish deeper emotional bond with her. At the same time, we’ll be meditating by visualizing ourselves battling against beast tamers."
Krisha nodded. "Alright. I think I’ll do that, then."
Felix’s eyebrows raised. "Are you sure? You haven’t participated in the Mist Courtyard Ramble yet."
"I think it’s fine. I feel like I have reach a bottleneck in my sword techniques, so I might as well utilize this time with PengPeng more."
"Alright. We should proceed now."
Krisha nodded as they returned to their rooms.
...
Once Felix opened the door and entered inside his room, he was welcomed by an intense emotional greetings by Rain.
He beamed a smile at him as he grabbed Rain and hugged him tightly.
"How have you been doing? Were you meditating well?"
Rain responded with a hum.
[Mhm?]
The Guide’s voice suddenly echoed in his mind.
Felix was definitely surprised. It was inevitable, it was the first time the Guide had suddenly spoken in his mind.
"What’s wrong?"
The Guide was silent for a while, leaving Felix no choice but to patiently wait. He sat on his bed, wondering what made the Guide suddenly reacted that she couldn’t hold herself back.
[I just feel an interference?]
"Interference? From what?"
[The Immortal World.]
Felix’s eyes widened. He was utterly shocked.
"What are they interfering with? Why? How? Where? When? Why?"
The Guide took some time to reply.
[I’ve been trying to connect with them but the connection is so fragile. It feels like just a passing interference. I didn’t receive a message, either. It might just be a coincidence.]
"What do you mean by coincidence?" 𝚏𝐫𝚎𝗲𝕨𝐞𝐛𝕟𝚘𝐯𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝗺
[It might just be unintentional. Either way, whenever they made a move, it doesn’t harm you at all or this world. Just that, I’m curious why was there a sudden brief connection. It’s a shame I failed to instantly connect with them, host.]
"It’s a shame indeed, but since they aren’t messaging us directly, then there’s no need to worry about."
[You’re right.]
Felix laid his back on his bed as he took a rest. He placed Rain on his chest, resonating with his pulsing water energy.
It amplified the efficiency of his meditation somewhat.
He stayed that way for an hour, meditating, until he finally decided to proceed towards Moon.
...
As Felix was proceeding to the beast quarters, Krisha, who was also meditating, suddenly felt sleepy for some reason.
PengPeng was with her. She had just decided to communicate with Felix and tried to implement his idea with PengPeng.
However, just as they finished meditating and were about to implement it, she suddenly felt sleepy. Not only her, but PengPeng expressed his desire to sleep, too.
It was a very strange occurrence. Krisha panicked at first, but for some reason, her instinct was telling her not to resist and simply took a sleep.
I guess, I’m just tired for staying up late at night, but... I’ve already slept the whole morning and half of the afternoon already.
Despite feeling suspicious, she did not resist anymore, as she placed PengPeng on her chest for the first time and fell asleep instantly.
Suddenly, Krisha dreamt. She strangely dreamt with PengPeng on her side. Dream was supposed to be strange and erratic but she was communicating with PengPeng, as though the latter was consciously in her dream.
"You just fell asleep, right?"
PengPeng cawed in agreement.
"So, it’s not just a coincidence you are here... Then..."
Krisha, with racing heart, swept her gaze in their surroundings.
Everything was milky-white filled with glacial elements, ranging from snowflakes to the frozen ground to the icy mountains to the frozen lakes... everything was frozen.
Even more frightening was the absence of life. As though the world had completely frozen.
"What are you doing here?"
A manly voice echoed behind Krisha, striking her with an anxiety to quickly turn around.
Her body was tense, she instantly gazed at the man in front of her.
She took a stance, but the missing sword made her panic even more.
"That stance..." The man mumbled, his snowflakes eyes revealed deep curiosity of the woman in front of her.
As his breathing blended with the frost, he said, "I could barely remember it.
Are you my successor?"
Krisha was taken aback.
Only now she could fully assess the man in front of her.
There was only one word that came into her mind as soon as she swept her gaze around his body.
Divine.
She was even more certain of her description when she perceived that the man appeared to be indistinguishable from the winter.
As though he’s the winter himself.
