Miles Sterling had just walked out of the entrance when the driver Gwen Grant had arranged for him immediately approached, asking, "Sir, do you need a ride?" ๐š๐•ฃ๐•–๐šŽ๐š ๐šŽ๐š‹๐š—๐จ๐ฏ๐•–๐•.๐•”๐จ๐•ž

Miles looked at the driver briefly and then said, "Did she send you to spy on me?"

The driver was taken aback and awkwardly replied with a smile, "Sir, youโ€™ve misunderstood. The lady said youโ€™ve been in a bad mood recently and like to go out for a walk, but sheโ€™s worried about your foot injury affecting your movement, so she asked me to offer help when you go out."

Miles glanced at the driver with disbelief, then leaned on his crutch and walked towards the car.

Seeing this, the driver quickly followed and opened the car door, smiling as he asked, "Where would you like to go, sir?"

"Anywhere."

"Then Iโ€™ll take you for a spin around the streets. Just let me know if you see somewhere youโ€™d like to stop, and Iโ€™ll park, okay?"

Miles did not respond, sitting inside the car and turning his head to look out the window.

The driver didnโ€™t dare say more, simply started the car once seated in the driverโ€™s seat.

The car cruised aimlessly along the roadside, Milesโ€™s gaze fixed outside the window, his eyes gradually losing focus; he was unsure of what he was looking for.

He hoped to inadvertently remember a bit more of something.

The car arrived near the art academy, where the streets were lined with shops selling art supplies.

Milesโ€™s empty gaze suddenly focused, looking at a shop by the crossroads, and he said, "Stop the car."

The driver paused momentarily but immediately parked the car gently towards the curb.

Miles swiftly opened the car door and stepped outside, standing at the shop entrance, feeling he had been here before.

The automatic door sensed and opened, and Miles walked into the shop leaning on his crutch.

As soon as the staff saw him, they came over smiling cheerfully, greeting him, "Mr. Sterling, how long has it been since youโ€™ve come here? How did you injure your leg?"

"You know me?"

The shop assistant was taken aback by the question, hesitantly replying, "...Yes, you used to come in and buy art supplies and puzzles. There are lots of new puzzles recently, would you like to have a look?"

Miles frowned; neither Gwen nor he would do any painting, so why did he frequently come to buy art supplies before?

With this question arising in his mind, Miles couldnโ€™t help but ask, "Did I come alone? Who was I buying for?"

The shop assistant found it peculiar but truthfully responded, "You always came alone, never said you were buying for anyone... Isnโ€™t it for your own use? Every time new puzzles come out in the shop you would buy them, we thought you really liked puzzles."

"Puzzles?" Miles turned his head to survey, saying, "Can you show me?"

"Of course, the puzzles are upstairs, please follow me, Mr. Sterling."

At this moment, Miles felt a bit excited and thrilled as if he sensed he was closer to his past.

"These few are newly released, you used to really like this landscape theme, not sure if youโ€™ll like these."

Looking at the artwork on the packaging, Miles didnโ€™t recall anything, pausing before he said, "Do you still have the ones I bought before?"

The assistant turned to look while responding, "Some editions are discontinued and might be unavailable here, but let me find what I can."

"Thank you."

Hearing Miles say thank you, the assistantโ€™s actions paused momentarily.

After all, the Miles Sterling of the past wasnโ€™t quite this polite.
