Chapter 951: Chapter 951: I Don’t Want to Disturb Her

Miles Sterling followed Cynthia Ramsey into the car. At this moment, Cynthia seemed to have shed the lethargic look she’d had in the morning.

The makeup on her face wasn’t heavy, making her look even more like Vanessa.

On the drive to the filming location, Cynthia glanced at Miles, who appeared deep in thought as he gazed out the window, and asked, "What else do you want to know? I’ve told you almost everything I know."

Miles snapped out of it, turned his head to look at Cynthia, and said, "I want to know about Vanessa and me."

Upon hearing this, Cynthia couldn’t help but smile and said, "Then you need to ask her."

Miles, after a moment of silence, looked out the window again and replied hoarsely, "I don’t want to disturb her."

Cynthia said, "But I don’t really know about the things between you two. To be honest, I don’t even know you well; we’ve not known each other that long."

"Then how did we meet? Does it have something to do with Vanessa?"

Cynthia laughed self-deprecatingly and said, "Of course it’s related. You gave me the chance to approach you because I look like her. I once thought I’d be marrying into a wealthy family and live a carefree life."

Miles furrowed his brow. Although Cynthia’s words seemed superficial, compared to Gwen Grant’s every lie, Miles found Cynthia’s words more believable.

The car slowed as it entered the underground parking lot.

Cynthia parked the car and said to Miles, "I’ll take you to the lounge in a bit. You stay here for a while by yourself. I estimate it’ll take me two hours, and I’ll come to find you after the shoot."

In the lounge, Miles stood by the door, looking in the direction Cynthia had left.

After being alone in the lounge for a few minutes, Miles found he couldn’t settle down, so he got up and walked outside, looking down the empty corridor, heading in the direction Cynthia had just left.

In the shooting area, many staff members were preparing for the upcoming shoot, and Cynthia was getting her makeup done in the dressing room.

"Young Master Sterling?"

Miles turned his head at the sound, looking at the person greeting him from behind. It was a man in his thirties. Judging by the badge hanging from his neck, he seemed to be one of the staff here.

"It really is you! Why are you here today?" the man asked, glancing inside, recalling that Cynthia should be in there shooting right now.

"Did you come with Cynthia? I haven’t seen you two together in a long time."

Miles looked thoughtfully at the man, not voicing an answer.

But since Miles had always been a bit aloof, the man simply assumed it was just Miles’s character and politely invited him into the shooting area, making space for him to sit.

"If you’re free tonight, Young Master Sterling, care to join me for dinner?"

Without thinking, Miles declined, "No."

The man jokingly said, "Young Master Sterling, is it that after getting married, your wife keeps a tight leash? I haven’t seen you at the bar in ages. I used to run into you there all the time; have you changed your hangout?"

Miles paused for a moment before asking, "You used to run into me often? Where?"

"At the bar on Riverwatch Road. You were quite familiar with the owner there—I think his surname is Jiang. Every time I went, I’d see you two drinking together."

Miles silently noted the address and people the man mentioned. Even though his mind couldn’t retrieve those memories, it was still a new clue, and going there might lead to some new discoveries.
