Chapter 1321: The Third Day
George River clearly didn’t understand Hannah’s intention.
Hannah sighed, "Forget it, even if I explain, you wouldn’t understand. Come on, let’s go have some fun."
George River understood this sentence.
...
Jack Stewart kept the news of Hannah’s disappearance very well hidden; even the people in the production crew hadn’t noticed anything amiss.
Everyone simply thought that Hannah had temporarily gone home to rest due to poor health.
However, this group did not include Louis Snyder.
Upon hearing someone casually mention that Hannah’s production was now temporarily being managed by the assistant director, he sensed that something was wrong.
Knowing Jack Stewart as well as he did, Louis Snyder was aware that Jack would place Hannah’s matters above all else, especially work-related issues.
Therefore, even if he were very busy, he would never completely hand over the filming tasks to someone else.
Unless...
Louis Snyder’s eyes lowered and his fingers gently stroked the scar on his wrist, feeling puzzled.
He dialed Brother Davis’s number, "Check on Hannah’s recent activities."
Brother Davis didn’t hesitate and immediately started the investigation.
Shortly after, Brother Davis relayed the information he had gathered to Louis Snyder.
About Hannah, there was still no additional news. But one thing was certain... Jack Stewart was no longer at the production site. 𝑓𝘳𝘦𝑒𝑤𝑒𝘣𝘯ℴ𝘷𝘦𝓁.𝑐𝑜𝑚
Louis Snyder asked further, "What about Hannah?"
Brother Davis replied, "They only say she went home due to feeling unwell, but no one in the production crew has seen her in the last few days."
The excuse given by the studio, that she went home to recover due to illness, was quite reasonable.
He couldn’t find out any more information than that.
Louis Snyder ended the call and fell into deep thought, alone.
...
On the third day of her soft confinement,
Jimmy Simmons left the villa, only instructing Aunt Lee to stay and take care of Hannah.
The weather today was exceptionally good, with bright sunshine that considerably lessened the damp and cold feel in the air.
Hannah stood on the balcony watching Jimmy Simmons leave.
She knew that Jack Stewart must have discovered her disappearance by now.
Although Jimmy Simmons had his methods, it was almost impossible to take her away without leaving a trace.
Being discovered was only a matter of time.
Jimmy Simmons knew he couldn’t contend with Arnold Simmons.
So from the beginning, his plan wasn’t to face Arnold Simmons head-on. He specifically chose a time when Arnold was not in the country to take Hannah away, having arranged everything in advance.
Once the time came, he would be able to take Hannah abroad immediately.
To a place where no one else could definitely find them.
But what he didn’t anticipate was how troublesome that agent of Hannah’s could be,
And George River and Louis Snyder too.
However, that didn’t matter. There was only one night left. After taking care of the last details, he would leave with Hannah tomorrow.
...
The life of soft confinement was both dull and tedious.
After Jimmy Simmons departed, Hannah came out of her room.
Hearing the movement, Aunt Lee, who was still tidying up in the living room, looked up and saw Hannah coming down the stairs.
The temperature near the sea would be much warmer once the rain stopped.
She was dressed comfortably and simply, like a princess nurtured in a castle, beautiful and delicate.
Aunt Lee hadn’t read many books and wasn’t good at describing people; this was the best description she could come up with.
"Do you have any candy?"
Hearing the voice, Aunt Lee snapped back to reality, a bit nervously, she made a gesture to Hannah.
Only then did Hannah realize that Aunt Lee couldn’t speak.
"Sorry."
Aunt Lee shook her head, and using not so fluent sign language, she gestured.
She wasn’t born mute. Her family didn’t have money; they didn’t even let her attend school, let alone a special school. The little sign language she knew, she learned by watching the television in the village chief’s house.
