Alpha's Lost Luna Returns With His Twins-Chapter 321-Dragged In Her Territory
Iris:
She tilted her head to show she had acknowledged my gaze, then let out a small snicker. There was pain in it, the pain of betrayal, anger, disbelief.
"Looking at my legs, huh? Are you wondering where my tail is?" she asked in a mesmerizing yet creepy tone that sent goosebumps across my skin.
Her lips curled as she continued to stare, distracting me.
Before I could react or answer, she lunged forward, her hand slamming against my shoulders and forcing me back.
Cold water rushed into my ears and consumed me. I sank for a few seconds, my body twisting as panic surged through me.
I kicked hard and pushed upward, breaking the surface before my lungs gave out.
I sucked in air sharply and wiped my hands over my face, clearing the water from my eyes.
I ran a hand through my hair to move it off my face, taking deep breaths to steady myself.
She was already in front of me again, but this time anger radiated from her skin.
"Your husband took my tail when he took the pearl from my neck," she screamed in fury.
The water rose high, as if it cried with her and felt her pain. That was when it struck me.
The blue river water. The stories of a monster that lived in it.
That was her. She was the creature of the blue river, the one Kash had tricked to get me the pearl.
"You’re not Irene," I whispered, fear crawling through me.
She drew in a deep breath, then forced a smile onto her lips.
"You’re right, I’m Eira," she hissed.
She moved again. She did not swim like a person. She cut through the water as if she were its queen.
I turned slowly, trying to track her every movement. My arms spread slightly to keep my balance.
My legs trembled beneath the surface. I was alone here, and she had everyone under her control.
Even if I escaped the water, she would have the warriors, Luca, everyone standing at the shore waiting for me to come out so they could seize me and present me to her.
I did not understand how she had appeared here.
Then she vanished right before my eyes. I moved quickly, trying to see where she had gone.
Did I lose it? Was I too slow to turn around?
The questions circled in my mind until I felt something wrap around my ankle.
There were a few things I went through immediately. A few emotions hit me all at once.
One of them was the simple fact that when you are underwater and something touches you, you expect the worst. For me, it truly was the worst.
As I gasped and was yanked forward, water rushed into my mouth and I began to cough. Panic struck me, and I kicked hard, twisting my body sideways.
It was Eira holding my ankle with her cold fingers. Her grip loosened for a second, and I used it to my advantage.
My hand drove toward my thigh, where I had tucked the silver dagger. My fingers closed around the handle quietly.
She rose behind me and locked her arm around my waist, dragging me back against her.
Her breath was cold against my ear, and I could hear her grunt and growl in anger every few seconds.
That was her way of telling me she was beyond furious about what my husband had done to her. As she held me close, she muttered into my ear,
"You should have drowned quietly," she whispered.
She was ready to drag me down with her into the deep water. But I was not going down like that.
I gripped the dagger and drove it backward without looking. For a few seconds, I felt her try to fight it, but it was too late for her.
The dagger sank into something solid. When I heard her shriek, I knew I had struck the right spot.
The sound tore through the night, and her grip snapped open. I spun around quickly, splashing water, nearly losing my balance as it rose to my ribs.
She stared at me with wide, unblinking eyes. They were filled with rage and disbelief.
I noticed she was bleeding from her shoulder. The dagger head struck deep into it, so deep that only the handle was sticking out.
She was bleeding green blood. It was not a simple green, but a glittering, almost luminous fluid.
The sight was shocking and traumatizing.
The pearls and shells on her chest glowed before dimming slightly. She lifted her gaze from her shoulder to me, and I watched red spread through her eyes.
"You fucking dare," she hissed, rushing at me from the front.
I barely lifted my arms before she collided with me. We both went underwater. 𝕗𝚛𝚎𝚎𝐰𝗲𝗯𝗻𝚘𝚟𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝕞
The world turned silent and heavy for a few seconds. My body fell limp as her hands clamped around my throat.
I clawed at her wrists as my lungs began to burn. Her hair floated around us like a nest, and my vision started to blur.
More than ever, I was worried about the child in my womb. I knew I could not overpower her.
I knew my lycan was not with me to fight beside me. If I had to fight her, I needed a strategy, something that would not rely on my wolf but would still be enough to protect my child.
As her fingers tightened around my neck, the weight of the struggle pressed in. I had to hurry, or it would be too late.
I tried clawing at her skin, but it was useless, so I bent my knee and drove it into her stomach. Her body jerked.
Bubbles escaped her mouth, but her grip did not weaken. She laughed underwater, unbothered by it filling her mouth.
"This is my territory. You cannot win here from me," she chuckled.
Her voice carried clearly even in the deep water, and fear rose in my chest as I heard it.
