Chapter 47: Chapter 47: Justin Huxley Returns to China

The secretary was still somewhat confused about why Tina Huxley was giving a hard time to an executive from another company with no apparent conflict of interest with theirs.

"President Huxley, we don’t have any conflict of interest with Stellart, do we?"

Tina Huxley looked up at her and said, "What? Do I need to explain my actions to you?"

"I’m sorry, I spoke out of turn."

The secretary quickly shook her head and then turned to leave the office.

"Summer Lowell, you managed to escape once again."

Tina Huxley leaned on the armrest, turning her chair to the side, and murmured while looking out the window, "Summer Lowell, as long as you’re still in Stellarion, you’re a threat to me, and I will definitely find a way to deal with you."

Just as she finished speaking, the phone on her desk rang. Tina Huxley impatiently turned to look and, upon seeing the name on the screen, her eyes immediately lit up.

"Hello, Justin. I heard from my mom that you’re coming back home soon, is that true?"

It was her cousin, Justin Huxley, the eldest son of the third family branch of the Huxley Family, calling her.

Old Master Huxley had five sons and three daughters.

Justin Huxley’s parents went abroad when they were young, while Tina’s father, second in line, stayed locally and was personally trained by Old Master Huxley to take over the family business.

This time, Justin Huxley was returning because Old Master Huxley had missed seeing his eldest grandson and wanted him to stay in the country for a couple of years.

Coincidentally, the domestic market had been booming in recent years, and Justin Huxley himself wanted to come back to develop his career, so he readily agreed to Old Master Huxley’s request.

"I just got off the plane; I’m already in the country," Justin Huxley softly chuckled over the phone, "Tina, where are you now? At the company or at home?"

Once Tina heard he was already at the airport, she quickly stood up, grabbed her bag and coat beside her, and eagerly said while walking out, "I’m at the company. Justin, you should have told me before you boarded the plane so I could pick you up."

Justin Huxley, who was pushing his luggage and walking out at the airport, detected Tina’s intent from her tone: "You don’t need to come to the airport. Aunt has already sent a butler to pick me up. If you’re eager to see me, just head home directly. I reckon by the time I get home, you’ll be there too."

"Alright," Tina Huxley pressed the elevator button, "see you later then."

After hanging up, Tina waved to get the attention of the secretary passing by the elevator and invited her inside: "I’m in a hurry to get home. When you go up later, inform the chairman that Justin is back and to come home early today."

"Understood, President Huxley."

Stellarion-Eastport International Airport.

Justin Huxley was standing by the roadside, pushing his luggage and looking around. He remarked to the approaching butler, "It’s been a long time since I last visited; even the air feels different."

The butler took the suitcase from him and handed it to the driver, then opened the car door: "Young Master Vaughn, the old gentleman is very eager to see you. If he hadn’t been feeling a bit under the weather these past few days, he would have come to pick you up personally."

"Feeling unwell? What’s wrong with Grandpa? Has he seen a doctor?"

The butler closed the car door and sat in the front passenger seat, then turned to answer Justin Huxley, "It’s nothing serious. The weather has been inconsistent lately, fluctuating between hot and cold. The old gentleman probably caught a chill while walking in the garden during the evening."

"As long as it’s nothing major," Justin nodded, shifting his gaze back to the window, "there have been significant changes in the country."

"Indeed, especially here. It seems to change every year. The old gentleman always marvels at it every time he steps out," the butler agreed with a smile and handed over a bottle of water, "Young Master Vaughn, please have some water."

Justin Huxley accepted the water and, after taking a sip, placed it aside: "The flight was long. I’m a bit tired. I’ll take a nap before we arrive home. Wake me when we get there."

"Sure, Young Master Vaughn, rest for a bit. I’ll wake you when we arrive."

After listening to the butler, Justin finally leaned back against the seat cushion to take a nap.

At the entrance of The Huxley Residence, Tina supported Old Master Huxley as they stood by the door, occasionally tiptoeing to peer down the road.

A car approached, and Mr. Huxley got out quickly to join them: "Dad, why are you standing here? It’s windy outside. Be careful not to catch a cold again."

"I’m not that fragile," Old Master Huxley displeasedly waved his hand, "You’re all too cautious. When I was younger, I braved the wind and rain, unlike what you make it out to be."

Seeing the hint of anger on his face, Tina quickly hugged his arm and sweetly said.

"Grandpa, we’re just concerned about your health!"

"I know..."

As they were talking, Mrs. Huxley, with her keen eyes, was the first to notice the car bringing Justin back: "It’s coming, Justin is back."

The car arrived at the entrance of the house.

Tina helped Old Master Huxley to the door and sweetly called out to Justin as he stepped out of the car, "Justin, welcome home."

"Tina, I haven’t seen you in years; you’re getting prettier,"

Justin Huxley got out of the car, gave her a pat on the head, and then turned to greet Old Master Huxley, Mr. Huxley, and Mrs. Huxley.

Mrs. Huxley smiled and beckoned everyone inside: "Let’s continue inside the house. It’s windy out, and the sky is getting cloudy. It might rain again later."

After everyone got settled in the living room, Tina excitedly sat next to Justin Huxley: "Justin, you’re staying for a while this time, right?"

Old Master Huxley, who loved seeing his family thriving and harmonious, laughed heartily: "Ever since Tina learned about your return, she’s been talking about it every day. Justin, you should prepare to be pestered by her."

Justin laughed, taking a gift he had prepared for Tina from the butler and handing it to her: "During one of our phone chats, you mentioned you had your eye on this. I’ve never bought a gift for a girl before, and I wasn’t sure what else you’d like, so I got what you had mentioned."

With sparkling eyes, Tina gratefully took the gift box and smiled: "Thank you, Justin. This is exactly what I wanted but hadn’t gotten around to buying yet."

Sitting beside them, Mr. Huxley half-jokingly scolded Tina: "You’re all grown up and still thinking about playthings every day!"

Justin chuckled and interjected to lighten the mood: "Life needs a bit of fun."

Old Master Huxley nodded from the other side: "If she wants to play, let her. Tina is smart and never neglects her responsibilities. But Justin, Tina is younger than you by several years and less experienced. As her older brother, you should guide her a bit."

"Grandpa, you’re speaking as if there’s a formality between us. Of course, I’ll guide her where it’s needed," Justin replied.
