Loving The Cursed Werewolf King-Chapter 122: Ronan In The Library
Since he felt that there was nothing more to say, Priest Elis was allowed to resign with William, which left Lucas waiting for the king to finish his breakfast. After the others were gone, Ronan inquired about another matter.
"What about Arielle’s two siblings? They’re going home this afternoon, aren’t they?"
"That’s right, Your Majesty. There’s nothing suspicious about the two of them. It’s just that... yesterday I was a little careless that Princess Andrea ended up meeting with Princess Arielle."
Ronan stopped using his cutlery and glared at Lucas. The man was not wearing his mask, so Lucas could immediately see the unfriendly expression of the king. Lucas pulled the collar off his neck, which suddenly felt tight.
"And something happened?" Ronan raised an eyebrow, looking displeased.
"I-I don’t know for sure, but... Princess Arielle looked uncomfortable."
SLAM!
Ronan hit the table in front of him, which made Lucas cringe in surprise. The man automatically lowered his head in guilt.
"Didn’t I tell you not to leave Arielle even for a bit?" Ronan growled.
"I admit my negligence, Your Majesty! I deserve to be punished!"
Ronan clenched his jaw. "Then? What did that woman do?"
"Nothing, Your Majesty. It seems that Princess Andrea verbally intimidated Princess Arielle. And this morning, Princess Andrea wanted to see Princess Arielle again, but I said that Princess Arielle was resting and could not be disturbed."
"You should have just said that Arielle slept with me so those Southern pests would know that Arielle has chosen the North and won’t be returning to the South."
Lucas was still looking down, not daring to lift his face.
Ronan pushed away his plate of leftover breakfast and sipped a cup of hot coffee.
"Any reports from Tania?" 𝚏𝐫𝚎𝗲𝕨𝐞𝐛𝕟𝚘𝐯𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝗺
Lucas shook his head slowly. "Nothing, Your Majesty. It seems that Prince Alexis and Princess Andrea suspect that we are monitoring them."
"Hmm..."
"Do you want me to make a final meeting with them?"
Ronan chuckled softly. "What for? They came uninvited, so they should have left without being escorted. Tell them I’m busy."
"What about Princess Arielle?"
"If she wants to meet her two siblings, I’ll let her while you watch over them. And this time, make sure they don’t dare mess with Arielle."
"Very well, Your Majesty. I understand."
Ronan then relaxed his body on the sofa, as he reached for his paperwork. His study was being tidied up. He had seen the extent of the mess earlier, it would take a few hours to get back to normal.
He tried to read the first document but then sighed aloud.
Ah... Ronan missed Arielle. But if he visited her now, he would only tire her out even more.

Andrea looked around. If she wasn’t mistaken, she saw Lucas, the man who was always with Arielle, coming from the hallway. The building in Blackthorn Palace was darker than the palace building that she had shared these past three days with her brother.
At the end of the hall, she saw a large door without any guards. Andrea pushed open the door and closed it back.
It was a very spacious library room, much bigger than what they had in Nieverdell Palace. Andrea was one of the best students in the South. In the school for noblemen, she always got praises from her teacher. Andrea loved reading. So, when she found a library of this size, Andrea fell in love.
The woman looked at a table where a librarian should be on duty, but it was empty. She had intended to look for Arielle, but after finding the library, she canceled her intention. Andrea went up to the second floor to see the scenery on the first floor more clearly.
(Alexis will love this place. He loves reading too) the woman thought to herself.
However, as she passed a bookshelf, Andrea stopped in her tracks. She saw a man lying on the sofa by the window. Andrea didn’t dare move, her heart was beating very fast.
She grabbed a book and peeked through the shelves. Andrea’s face turned red when she saw the king’s face without wearing his mask.
Andrea knew that her brother had been called the most handsome man in the South, but King Ronan was on a different level of handsomeness. Andrea clutched her rapidly beating heart.
Ronan chuckled, annoyed when he felt his time was interrupted by someone’s presence. His ears were sharp enough to hear the library doors opening and closing. He could also hear the footsteps of the high heels shoes worn by a woman.
Ronan knew it wasn’t Arielle’s move. Arielle’s steps would sound softer and shorter. Every now and then, Arielle would walk faster because of her short legs to catch up with him. While the woman, who went up to the second floor, had steps that sounded firm and confident, like the steps of a trained noble. Very boring.
Ronan grabbed his mask and put it back on. He hoped she hadn’t seen his face.
"Anything you want to say?" asked Ronan matter-of-factly, not wanting to linger with the woman.
Andrea jolted in her place. She was surprised that the man had noticed her presence. Andrea took a deep breath and exhaled slowly. She tried to get rid of her nervousness. The woman gently patted her cheeks to add a blush to her face to make it look fresh.
Andrea stepped out from the bookshelf to face Ronan, who was already sitting up.
"Good morning, Your Majesty the King," Andrea greeted by lowering her body to greet the king respectfully.
"Anything you want to say?"
Andrea shook her head slowly then smirked. "I’m sorry for my impudence, Your Majesty. I was just wandering around to enjoy the beauty of the Northern Palace before returning to Nieverdell in a moment."
Ronan watched Andrea from top to bottom. He was still annoyed by the report given by Lucas regarding the woman’s intimidation towards Arielle.
If it was Alexis standing in front of him right now, Ronan would not hesitate to break the man’s neck even if he was a prince.
