Mated To The Demon Prince-Chapter 101: The Worst Queen
Darkness couldn’t stop smiling. No matter what he did or the number of trespassers he apprehended and punished severely, he found it so amusing and fulfilling. No one has ever seen him in such a mood before.
Demons would just walk by him to catch him either grinning or laughing to himself. It was beautiful to see him like this because none could say boldly of the last time he was such in a happy mood.
He was so happy to the point of giving every demon a break from their demonic duties.
Darkness left his castle to visit his little water friends to rub the good news on their scaly faces.
"What?"
One of the spirits had to ask when he wouldn’t stop grinning down at them like a fool. Doesn’t mean they said he looks more attractive when he has a smile on his face, doesn’t give him the right to travel all the way down here to haunt them with it.
Darkness smirked as they had no idea of how his world just got a hundred times better the moment the news reached the doorsteps.
"Have you finally gotten your wish granted from somewhere else, and you’ve come to say you don’t need us anymore?"
Darkness cocked one of his eyebrows at their form slithering around on the surface of the water in amusement as he said that.
"It’s even better."
"Better than your wish of total vengeance being fulfilled? What could that be?"
Darkness decided not to keep them in suspense anymore. He bent on his knees beside the oasis and waved them all to come closer to hear it clear and once from him.
Darkness eyes wandered off on where to begin. Should he start from the first moment he laid his eyes on her flawless form, or for the fact he obsessed over her from birth and desired her more than anyone could imagine?
Or should he begin from the day her sudden death was the gateway to be close to him in his universe?
The days he saved her from anyone or anything that might rise against her.
How he loved her still even if they were miles apart.
How he got to kiss her twice recently and asked her boldly to marry him. To be his forever. His little, adorable dark queen of his realm, where no one would dare come after her and threaten to take her away from him.
Where he could always ensure that she sees no one that will be perfect for her except him.
He smiled crazily at himself as the joy was too overwhelming not to rub it on a few faces.
From that kiss and how he made up his mind never to uproot himself from her existence ever again. To be hers forever as she belongs to no one else except him, he planned and connived with himself on how to make her stay with him. Not from a distance or in the camp of his enemies but close to him. Where he could always see her and choose to love her everyday.
But life had always had bigger plans for him and his enemy has finally fulfilled her not too long promise to fix her error. She did it in a way no one expected.
Not even him.
"The next time you would be seeing me here and before your little, smelly home would be with my queen standing right beside me."
The spirits stared at him confused. Not getting his point.
A queen for the Demon Prince?
Why didn’t that sound so well or correct in a sentence?
"I can’t believe you are going to make one of your demon whores your queen. You are making a mistake!"
Darkness smile fell as he stared at their foolishness in boredom.
"I told you he wasn’t that smart not to fall in-love with those two bitches of his harem!"
He tilted his head a bit to the side as his looks darkened in disbelief at how much they’ve underestimated and dared to show that in his presence.
"Or maybe he didn’t fall for any of them. He got too lonely to make a demon like Lilith his hellish bride!"
His lips parted in shock as they moved around in their little pond to gossip about him in his presence.
"God, how can he stoop so low? Eve could have been a better choice."
"What are you saying? Have you forgotten the time she got too horny that she went on her knees and begged to be fucked mercilessly by him before our very eyes when she lasted visited?"
"Ahhhh, the horror of hearing her desperate whining and the disgust of having to witness her failed seduction."
Darkness raised one of his gloved fingers at each of them in alarm. Now, they were just saying random shits to piss him off. He has never taken his women anywhere to places that doesn’t call for destruction before. He could bet they have no idea of how any of them looked.
"Eve would be the worst queen of the dungeons than Lilith. At least Lilith still had some sort of self-control. Eve is a damned little fish that is ready to spread her legs at—"
One close of his eyes at them in displeasure had them all pausing, realizing they all said that while he was close by.
"I wouldn’t hesitate to leave you all homeless, for the rest of the year if you don’t let me finish."
They all kept quiet and swarm towards him quickly to listen to the full gist of the news. Darkness observed each water spirit as he wondered just what other nasty things they say about him when he is not here.
"Eve and Lilith can’t be compared to the one that has been given to me. I don’t have any emotional connection to the women of my harem. They all mean nothing to me. I could have them all killed right now if they should start growing annoying to me, and I wouldn’t bat an eye to their pleas for mercy."
The spirits leaned closer in interest to his story.
"I met this special woman a long time ago. She was mine right from birth, and I am the only one she’s ever known or fallen in love with, which made her more unique than any demon of my harem. She is not of this world. I made her be in this world without giving her any option. She has no option but me. I made sure of that."
They all just listened in mild paranoia and in sympathy at the poor girl who was his victim of his love.
"Now, words just came out that her soul has been joined to mine. We have become one. A special term the werewolves likes to call it, ’mates.’ She has been given to me permanently, and there is none she could love or want more than me," he ended with another dark smirk which had the spirits swimming back in horror and really pitied who the poor girl was.
"What if...did you...have you ever asked her once if she wants to be yours forever or if she is happy staying in this world when she has hers? Does she know who you are; both your past and present, and the future you aim to make for yourself? Is she aware of what she is getting herself into by being joined to you now? Does she feel the same twisted way you feel about her?"
The silence that occurred after the spirit’s concerns was deafening and intense. Slight chill travel down their scaly backs as he turned to look at them like he has never done before.
It scared them to the core of their beings.
"Like I said earlier, she has no choice," he drawled darkly as he rose to his feet. His aura changing into a more possessive and obsessive feel, changing the air that surrounded them. Even the water they called their home was troubled by it.
"And I don’t mind forcing her into submission of my feelings for her if she dares to change her mind or turn her back on me for another. I don’t only own her body, soul but her life as well. It will only get harder for her if she tries to go against it. But there would be no need for all that if she feels the same way and wants to be with me as much as I want to be with her."
No one said anything but listened to him speak.
The smile on his face returned again. This time darker than the previous ones.
"I better not keep her longer in that camp of dogs anymore," he said, turned his back on them and began to leave.
