My Fiancé's Scandals Never End, So I Married His Uncle Instead-Chapter 141: Insatiable Desire
The day of the Scented Goblet awards ceremony was also the day Delia Caine had long scheduled for its new product launch.
In the bedroom, Celia Sterling opened the livestream from Delia Caine’s marketing department. While listening to the professional host introduce the new product, she opened her closet to pick out an outfit suitable for photos.
About ten minutes later, she turned off the livestream, grabbed the few outfits she had chosen, and tossed them into a suitcase. She then noticed Silas Norwood had already packed one suitcase, arranging their personal items neatly inside. Celia was just about to tease him, calling him a ’doting husband’, when she saw him casually pull open a drawer, take out ten boxes of adult products, and put them inside.
Celia Sterling asked reflexively, "How long will we be gone?"
Silas Norwood answered casually, "A week."
Celia Sterling: "...How many are in a box?"
"Three."
"And you think you’re going to use thirty in one week." Celia Sterling paused. "I can’t handle that."
"We’ve used nine in the last two days." Silas Norwood’s gentle gaze fell upon her, his tone disarmingly serious as he spoke the incredibly suggestive words. "We’re in the most intense phase right now. A little indulgence is nothing. If we also count the ones we accidentally broke these past two days, thirty might not even be enough."
Celia Sterling was slightly annoyed. Ever since their kissing had become a daily routine, she had discovered that beneath his cool and detached exterior lay a ravenous, wolf-like desire. But it wasn’t until these past two days that she realized his insatiable nature also contained a reckless, almost mad streak.
"If you’re so clingy in Jorvik that I have no energy to have fun..." Celia Sterling gave him an ultimatum. "We’ll be sleeping in separate rooms from now on."
Silas Norwood grunted, his expression unreadable.
He took it upon himself to pack the clothes Celia Sterling had just picked out, neatly folding them one by one into another suitcase. "You don’t need to bring too many clothes. I’ve had people prepare everything in advance at the resort I bought. It’s just that personal items shouldn’t be left to others, so I packed them myself..."
Assistant Thorne wasn’t accompanying them to Jorvik this time. Extremely private things, like Silas Norwood’s personal effects and adult products, had always been handled by Assistant Thorne alone; Silas disliked too many people getting involved. As for Celia Sterling’s lingerie and the like, that was even more off-limits to others. As a result, more than half the space in the suitcase he’d packed was taken up by Celia’s intimate apparel.
Celia Sterling casually pulled out a sexy, resort-style maxi dress and headed for the bathroom. "I’m going to take a shower, and then we can leave."
The bathroom door closed. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝕨𝕖𝗯𝚗𝚘𝕧𝕖𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝕞
The sound of running water reached his ears, mingled with the faint RUSTLE of clothes falling to the floor.
Silas Norwood stood quietly for a moment, then slowly reached back and locked the bedroom door...
Then, he bent down, picked up a condom from the nightstand, and calmly walked toward the bathroom.
"Silas Norwood!" Celia Sterling’s indignant, flustered voice soon followed. "It’s barely past seven in the morning and you just..."
Her voice was quickly swallowed up.
「That afternoon, their private jet landed at Silverwood Airport in Jorvik.」
An assistant based in Silverwood was already waiting. As soon as Silas Norwood arrived, the assistant greeted them respectfully and enthusiastically, "Hello, BOSS. Hello, ma’am. The manor is in the suburbs, about an hour and a half drive from here. The roads are a bit winding, so I’ve come to pick you and your wife up."
As he spoke, he was already directing several bodyguards to load Silas Norwood’s luggage into one of the luxury SUVs waiting nearby. Silas wrapped an arm around Celia Sterling’s waist and helped her into a purple Phantom. Celia glanced at the car’s brilliant exterior. "I thought all your cars were black."
"My wife likes bright colors." After the privacy partition rose, Silas Norwood gently nibbled her earlobe, his voice husky and sensual. "Everything in this manor, including the cars, is in your name. Naturally, your preferences come first."
Celia Sterling was still thinking about Silas Norwood’s promise to go crabbing. "What about the crabs? When are we going to catch them?"
"Anytime." Silas Norwood took out a brochure and opened it to look at with her. "Let’s get familiar with the manor’s layout first."
As he spoke, he pulled her directly onto his lap, circling her in his arms. He seemed quite interested as they flipped through the pages together. Seeing him so engrossed, Celia Sterling grew curious.
"You’ve never been here?"
"This is my first time, too." Silas Norwood continued turning the pages. The brochure not only had floor plans of the villa but also detailed the accompanying garden facilities. Beyond the exquisitely designed private gardens lay a vast landscape of mountains and fields. The scenery was beautiful. Early autumn had arrived, and the brochure’s photos showed weeping willows like gold, with splashes of orange, red, and green that looked very appealing.
This was one of the vacation properties he had specifically instructed Theo Chambers to buy after he and Celia Sterling made their relationship official. The environment was beautiful and private, perfectly suited for a getaway with his wife.
The Norwood Family owned many hotels around the world, and every single one reserved an exclusive suite for Silas Norwood’s use when he traveled. But Silas disliked places with high foot traffic. Theo Chambers was aware of his boss’s somewhat picky nature, so this time he had purchased over twenty private properties across the country in both his and Celia Sterling’s names. All of them were high-end, impressive locations, much to Silas’s satisfaction.
"Can we pick oranges?" Celia Sterling asked, her eyes lighting up with interest as she looked at the photos of trees heavy with fruit.
"Of course." From the front passenger seat, the assistant heard Celia Sterling and immediately replied, "The orchards and fields surrounding the garden are also part of the manor’s property. When Assistant Chambers was here, he said the BOSS dislikes feeling constrained, so he had the garden walls torn down and bought the surrounding farmland and orchards as well. Ma’am, you could pick every last orange, and it wouldn’t be a problem."
"..." Celia Sterling hadn’t expected Assistant Chambers, who usually seemed so cautious, to be so extravagant with his purchases. "He bought all of it? What do you do with so many oranges? Sell them?"
"We have buyers who come to collect them," the assistant explained. "Although the outer areas are also the BOSS’s property, they operate just like any other farm or woodland. And with travel variety shows being so popular these days, our place has become a famous filming location in all of Silverwood. Production crews often come to rent it. Also, ma’am, do you see that private lake at the foot of the mountain? The fish in there are quite plump. We often get fishing enthusiasts who drive dozens or even a hundred miles just to spend the day here."
Celia Sterling leaned against the car window, watching as the scenery gradually shifted to the suburbs. She was clearly in a good mood. "So the manor gets pretty lively, then."
"The private gardens are strictly managed and not open to the public," the assistant added. "If you enjoy a lively atmosphere, ma’am, you can walk around the outer areas. When you want some peace and quiet, our inner gardens are the perfect place to relax and recuperate."
Celia Sterling tilted her head up to look at Silas Norwood. "Silas Norwood, did you bring fishing rods? I want you to take me fishing."
"The manor has fishing rods. I’ll take you tomorrow," Silas Norwood replied gently, though his eyes were still on the brochure in his hands.
He had already flipped to the pages showing the villa’s interior. He thoughtfully skimmed past the media room, the bathrooms, the bedrooms, the study...
She didn’t know what was going through his mind, but being in his arms, Celia Sterling keenly felt the arms around her tighten slightly.
"The weather is getting cooler," he said, calmly instructing the assistant. "Have the study, bedroom, and bathrooms all fitted with carpets. Soft ones."
