Reincarnated As A Lion In Another World-Chapter 624: Demonic Horse Governor
The large dark red falcon looked at the demonic horse standing beside him with weariness.
The falco wasn’t scared, but he had heard of creatures with Demonic Heart types, and he knew that they were one of the most troublesome entities around, regardless of which race they came from.
The demonic horse noted the strange way the dark red falcon was looking at him and snorted, scratching his spiked hoof on the ground of the elevated stand.
"You need not be weary, Primordial Falcon, I’m simply here to observe and report," The demonic horse said, feeling rather dissatisfied.
Within his cold chaotic heart, he would prefer to confirm the thoughts of the Primordial Falcon and rain down chaos on this whole arena.
Unfortunately, he couldn’t.
Or could he?
After the events of the Battle Planet, President Musty had complained about how the demonic horse had left the entire group to follow his intrusive thoughts.
The scolding was so harsh that everyone had assumed the demonic horse would be demoted from governor to something else.
Fortunately, President Musty, in his seemingly infinite foresight, allowed the demonic horse to keep his job and even sent him on another mission.
That was why the demonic horse was here today.
Officially, the mission was simply to observe and report, but unofficially, the demonic horse was very likely to do something he was not supposed to do.
This might be the real reason why President Musty kept sending this demonic horse out, no one could be more trusted to fuck things up than a demonic creature.
Of course, this would be under the assumption that His Excellency actually wanted to cause chaos here without being officially the cause of it.
The demonic horse snorted.
It didn’t matter anyway, he would always end up following his true nature at heart. If his inner mind and instincts told him to stay put, he would absolutely stay put.
Alas, it had been centuries since his instincts told him to just stay out in one place and not do anything.
Anyways, he wasn’t the only one here that had been sent to observe and report.
When they heard news that some lionesses of heaven had been going around looking for primordials, the Horses knew they had to send someone here.
Just as expected, two lionesses came.
And not just any lionesses, but the consorts of the All-King.
The demonic horse thought extensively on what he was going to do but didn’t yet do anything.
One thing he had learned from his lunch survival at the Battle Planet, anywhere the All-King was likely to be, was a place that he definitely shouldn’t be.
President Musty had enemies, actually, every major player in the universe had enemies.
But Kael’s enemies were simply baffling. It was like the different big factions of the universe were starting to be very cautious around anything involving the All-King.
On one occasion, a whole galaxy had been annihilated just because a vengeful immortal couldn’t find the All-King.
Then another one happened at the Battle Planet. If not for the restrictions present on the planet at that time, the damage would have been way worse.
The idea of calling Ibadon to report Kael’s possible location had crossed the minds of the horses, but they also discovered that it was a lose-lose situation.
One would have to be millions of light-years away before one could confidently make that call.
Also, the Horse Federation was not on good terms with the Dragon Empire.
The Horse Federation had sought out an alliance at different times so that they could join forces to take down the lions.
The Dragon Empire never responded. But it wasn’t out of spite or hate.
The Dragon Empire would love to have more allies. The Horse Federation needed the lions out of the way because they were competitors, and the Dragons had enmity that began eons ago.
However, the Dragons were currently busy handling their civil war and they couldn’t yet divide their focus to something else.
At this point, the demonic horse couldn’t help but think of how wonderful life would be if Ibadon didn’t exist.
But at the same time, he was also glad that Ibadon existed. If not for that abomination, who knows how bad it would be?
The lions would simply have nothing to stop them.
Even now with Ibadon alive and well, it still seems like there was not a lot of effect on the lion civilization.
The only thing that could truly set back any of these civilizations was War.
Only war, or the aftermath thereof, could level the playing field and give the horses a fighting chance.
The demonic horse was reminded of the nasty plans President Musty had been cooking up ever since he detected the All-King.
Everyone knew that war was coming, but no one knew what would trigger it. Everyone knew that many would die, but no one knew who would die first.
President Musty didn’t care, in his eyes, if he couldn’t win, then no one could.
And so war must come.
The galaxies must once again be thrust into chaos.
The demonic horse felt his heart beat shoot through the roof of his chest.
He got so excited just thinking about all the carnage.
The horses might not have the tyrannical side that the lions had, but they were every bit as ruthless as their competitors.
"Hey, what’s that?" The demonic horse was suddenly pushed out of his wonderful daydreaming when his eyes caught something strange and familiar.
A holographic screen.
A certain bear that was sitting in the middle row of the arena stand seemed dazed as he looked at the transparent floating screen in front of him.
However, as soon as the screen appeared, it also disappeared.
"What?" The demonic horse shook. That screen was eerily similar to something he had seen before when he had been close to the lions on the Battle Planet.
And then, another one popped up almost immediately somewhere else.
All of a sudden, holographic screens began to appear on different parts of the arena.
What was happening?
"No..." The dark red falcon who had been watching the fight between Alora, Chloe, and D’Dei was shocked with his eyes open wide.
It was then that the demonic horse noticed that there was a funny silence that shouldn’t exist at all. Where was the sound of earth-shattering blows and claws clashing with blades?
The demonic horse turned his head to look closely at the arena stage when a flash of golden-hued wind caught his eye.
