"Pfft-" Hua Tianshu broke out laughing and Jie Fu Lian was stunned.
It was the first time he had seen such an eased reaction from Hua Tianshu.

Jie Fu Lian blinked as he heard this and Hua Tianshu’s words managed to snap him out of his thoughts.
With a gulp, Jie Fu Lian quickly spoke up, "I don’t mind. You can laugh more if you want. You look very good when you laugh."
Hua Tianshu blinked, feeling surprised as he heard this response. He couldn’t help but feel as if there was something wrong with Jie Fu Lian’s behavior. Ever since they had come here, Jie Fu Lian was acting very relaxed and nice to him.
It almost felt as if Jie Fu Lian was trying to test him out.
Hua Tianshu’s eyebrows creased together as he wondered, ’Is he really trying to test me out? If he finds out that I still like him as more than a friend, would he abandon me again...?’
As soon as the thought was planted in his head, Hua Tianshu frowned, feeling extremely afraid and unhappy.
Jie Fu Lian awkwardly chuckled as he looked away and scratched the back of his neck, "I was just saying it casually. No need to look so stressed about it."
Hua Tianshu gulped as he made up his mind.
If Jie Fu Lian was testing him then he just needed to prove to the man that he had given up on him and was satisfied with maintaining their friendship.

"But it’s your favorite tea," Hua Tianshu replied on instinct.
"..." Jie Fu Lian was a little surprised as he heard this and his lips slightly tugged up in a small smile.
’You even know my favorite tea? Tiantian, you must like me more than I thought.’
"Have your tastes changed?" Hua Tianshu asked, feeling a little worried.
"Who knows?" Jie Fu Lian vaguely responded as he took a few snacks and happily munched on them.
With a smile, Hua Tianshu nodded his head as he spoke, "Well at least you like the snacks. I’m relieved."
"Who said I like the snacks?" Jie Fu Lian still decided to act petty as he replied, "I’m only eating because I’m hungry."
This time, Hua Tianshu didn’t take his words too seriously and let out a small chuckle as he spoke, "They are also your favorite. You don’t have to pretend as if you don’t like them."
Jie Fu Lian playfully snorted and his cheeks blushed red but he gave no verbal response to that.
"Enjoy the sweets as well," Hua Tianshu spoke as he added, "I know you like them. If you want, I can get more for you."
"Do you plan to fatten me up?" Jie Fu Lian asked with a small frown, his cheeks filled with food, looking like a squirrel.
Hua Tianshu smiled as he spoke, "It would not be a problem even if you get fat."
"I might just get so fat that I would not even be able to walk. Is it still fine?"
Hua Tianshu nodded his head, "I can just carry you around."
"And what if turning fat makes me ugly?"
"You can never be ugly," Hua Tianshu replied, "Because, in my eyes, Jie Ming is always beautiful no matter what face or form he takes."
Jie Fu Lian once again felt his heart skip a beat and almost choked on the food.
Damn, this man was good at sweet talking...!
That was almost dangerous!
"Fine! Fine!" Jie Fu Lian quickly spoke as he shrugged it off, "You should also eat. Don’t go spouting nonsense. It’s not like I’ll gain weight even if I do eat to my heart’s content. I’m a demon, if you haven’t forgotten."
Hua Tianshu smiled as he heard this and nodded his head as he picked up his own cup and sipped Jie Fu Lian’s favorite tea that he had also come to like and enjoy.

That last part was clearly added by Jie Fu Lian himself and it left Hua Tianshu a little stunned.
"So eat up," Jie Fu Lian added as he looked away and awkwardly coughed, "We are friends so if you ever need me, I’ll be there even if you don’t call for me. I’m quite a clingy person."
Hua Tianshu unconsciously smiled as he heard this and gave a nod as he spoke, "I would like that."
Jie Fu Lian once again ended up saying embarrassing things and it made him feel as if he wasn’t cut out for revenge.
Revenge against Hua Tianshu was truly difficult!
The two drank tea and ate snacks and sweets together without saying anything more. After the embarrassing things Jie Fu Lian had spouted on impulse, his courage to say anything else had disappeared and Hua Tianshu also didn’t say anything since he enjoyed the comfortable silence that surrounded them.
When Jie Fu Lian finally stood up, he looked outside the window and suddenly noticed something. With a small frown decorating his face, he asked, "Why are they sneaking around like that?"
"Don’t worry, this house has a barrier around it. They can neither hear nor see what’s happening inside," Hua Tianshu reassured but Jie Fu Lian’s frown only deepened as he heard this response.
"But why are they hiding there? Are there always people spying on you?" Jie Fu Lian asked once again.
"Not normally," Hua Tianshu honestly answered, "But since you are the first guest I have brought back home, perhaps they are intrigued and want to know more."
Jie Fu Lian’s eyes slightly widened as he heard this and his lips unconsciously curled up in a small smile as he questioned, "First guest? I’m your first guest?"
Hua Tianshu nodded his head with a gentle smile.
"Tiantian~ You must not be as famous as I had thought," Jie Fu Lian teased, somehow feeling a little elated, "Actually, the state of your house was already not one that looked welcoming towards guests."
"I do not stay here much and there is no one else left to clean up so it was a bit messy," Hua Tianshu defended himself.
