It seemed as if Jie Fu Lian finally understood where he was and what had happened so he looked at Hua Tianshu with a worried expression as he questioned, "What are you doing here?"

Hua Tianshu smiled as he grabbed Jie Fu Lian’s cheeks and with tears welling up in his eyes, he spoke, "I was scared of losing you."

Jie Fu Lian couldn’t help but smile as he heard this and playfully asked, "Are friends supposed to be this worried about each other? I think you are overdoing it."

"I wasn’t worried as a friend."

"Eh?"

"Jie Ming, I know I’ve already said this once and you’ve already rejected me. You want us to continue being good friends but I do not think I’ll be able to do that. I tried to do it but I can’t. Jie Ming, I love you and I don’t think I’ll be able to get rid of this feeling."

"Huh...?" Jie Fu Lian looked to be a little stunned as he heard this and his eyes slowly widened in realization, "Eh?!"

Hua Tianshu slightly tilted his head in confusion, feeling that Jie Fu Lian’s reaction was a bit odd. Somehow, it seemed as if this was the first time Jie Fu Lian was hearing this.

"What do you mean?!" Jie Fu Lian stepped back in shock as he questioned, "When did that happen?!"

Hua Tianshu slightly frowned as he heard this and asked, "Don’t you remember?"

"I don’t!" Jie Fu Lian immediately exclaimed, "You never confessed and I never rejected you! If that happened, I would have definitely remembered! What the hell are you talking about?!"

"Huh...?" It was now Hua Tianshu’s turn to be confused as he heard Jie Fu Lian’s words.

"I was the one who was rejected!" Jie Fu Lian exclaimed, looking as if he was having a mid-life crisis, "You only liked me as a friend and you made it pretty clear! You were the one who wanted us to stay as friends!"

"Eh?" Hua Tianshu’s eyebrows immediately creased together and he asked, "What does that even mean?"

"I confessed to you first! I’m the one who chased after you first!" Jie Fu Lian continued as he spoke, "You rejected me and broke my heart!"

"..." Hua Tianshu didn’t know if he was supposed to laugh or cry as he heard this, however, he did know one thing and that was the fact that his feelings weren’t unrequited.

Hua Tianshu held onto Jie Fu Lian’s wrist and pulled him closer as he questioned, "What does that mean?"

"Huh?"

"Does that mean... You like me...?"

Jie Fu Lian blinked as he heard this and couldn’t help but feel as if this was an extremely useless question.

"Hua Tianshu, I’ve been in love with you since the very beginning," Jie Fu Lian spoke, not bothering to hide his feelings or make any excuses any more, "Why else would I bother to catch your attention? When we first met, why do you think I challenged you? I wanted to prove myself to you. I wanted to look good! But you were so cruel to me! When we met in the illusion dream, I thought we were able to get closer but as soon as we came out, you told me to enter seclusion. I thought you didn’t want to see me anymore! No matter how you look at it, anyone would be able to see that I’m the only one who was in love with you this whole time!"

"..." Hua Tianshu felt as if this new revelation had reset his brain completely, making him go blank.

"But that’s me..." Hua Tianshu muttered, not knowing what else to say.

"Huh?" Jie Fu Lian tilted his head in confusion as he heard this.

"I’m the one who fell in love with you since the very beginning."

Jie Fu Lian stared at the man with clear disbelief and sighed as he asked, "This is also a dream, isn’t it? You are just another illusion made by my brain. That’s why you are saying such nonsense. Of course, that’s it."

Jie Fu Lian chuckled to himself, convincing himself that this was just another one of his sweet dreams.

"I’m not an illusion and this is not nonsense," Hua Tianshu firmly spoke, "I’m telling you the truth. I love you."

Jie Fu Lian rubbed his eyes, still finding it hard to believe what was happening.

Hua Tianshu could no longer hide the smile that crept up on his face as he once again confessed, "Jie Ming, I love you."

"This is really not a dream...?"

Hua Tianshu nodded his head as he confirmed, "It’s not."

"Then..." Jie Fu Lian muttered as he grabbed Hua Tianshu’s collar and pulled him closer. Time seemed to have stopped as their lips met in mutual harmony, both sharing a heart-pounding feeling that they had been secretly craving.

Hua Tianshu closed his eyes as he melted away with Jie Fu Lian’s soft touch on his lips. It was satisfying and addictive.

Like a beautiful dream that could disappear at any moment, Jie Fu Lian wasn’t the only one who found it hard to believe that this was reality and not just a dream.

Jie Fu Lian had his eyes half open, taking an unguilty peek at Hua Tianshu’s face and feeling ecstatic at how his cheeks blushed red.

When Jie Fu Lian woke up again, he was in the HuiXue sect with Jin Shifeng sitting by his side, looking at him with a worried expression.

"So it really was a dream..." Jie Fu Lian muttered, feeling extremely disappointed.

"You’re awake?" Jin Shifeng worriedly asked.

"Hmm," Jie Fu Lian nodded his head as he pushed himself off the bed and asked, "What happened to Jin Long?"

"He hasn’t been caught yet."

Jie Fu Lian didn’t look to be shocked as he heard this and simply nodded his head as he asked, "And what about you? Why are you here? I thought you weren’t going to help us."

"I changed my mind," Jin Shifeng replied.

Jie Fu Lian raised an eyebrow as he heard this, not looking to be convinced.

Jin Shifeng shrugged her shoulder with a sigh as she spoke, "I’ll explain it to you later. Right now, we have other pressing matters."

"Huh?"

Jin Shifeng turned around and pointed at Hua Tianshu as she spoke, "He didn’t wake up."

Jie Fu Lian’s eyebrows worriedly creased together as he questioned, "What happened to him?"

Jin Shifeng pursed her lips into a thin line and gulped as she wondered if it was okay to tell him the truth.

"Is he still being affected by the curse?" Jie Fu Lian worriedly asked, his complexion going a little white.

"That’s not it," Jin Shifeng shook her head as she sighed and spoke, "He was very worried for you and didn’t want to see you in pain."

"Huh...?"

"So I let his primordial spirit enter your mind."

Jin Shifeng looked to be quite guilty as she continued, "He was supposed to wake up after saving you but it took him longer than an hour and I forgot to warn him about what would happen if he took too long to come out."

Jie Fu Lian’s expression immediately turned a little stiff and he questioned in disbelief, "You did what...?!"

"He must have found you, right? What happened? How come you are the only one to wake up?" Jin Shifeng hurriedly questioned.

As Jie Fu Lian heard this question, he remembered what had happened in his dream, and without a filter on his mouth, he blurted out, "We kissed."

"..." Jin Shifeng tilted her head and blinked as she heard this, wondering if she had heard it wrong.

"You... Kissed...?" Jin Shifeng repeated, questioning.

Jie Fu Lian nodded his head, innocently confirming it without bothering to think too much.

Jin Shifeng didn’t know if the man was joking or not but from the expression on his face, it didn’t look like he was kidding so she could only nod her head in understanding.

"Then why hasn’t he woken up yet?" Jin Shifeng asked as she looked at Hua Tianshu who was still lying unconscious.

"Aren’t you the one who is supposed to tell me the answer to that?"

Jin Shifeng gulped, feeling a little guilty.

As Jie Fu Lian glanced at Hua Tianshu’s face, it slowly started dawning on him that everything had not been a dream.

He gasped and immediately covered his mouth as he shouted, "TianTian loves me!"

Jin Shifeng snapped her head toward Jie Fu Lian with a frown as she asked, "Are you trying to show off?"

"He loves me! He really loves me! It wasn’t just a dream!" Jie Fu Lian exclaimed, his heart racing with excitement, "He kissed me! I wasn’t imagining it!"
