Hearing Ling Feng’s words, Huaihua seemed to relax, so she gave a low hum in response.
However, she suddenly turned over, presenting her back to Ling Feng, and then curled up slightly, hugging her knees and clearly adopting a defensive posture.
The room was a bit dark, as the curtains blocked the moonlight, allowing only a sliver of light to seep in, but after Ling Feng’s eyes adjusted to the darkness, he could still make out the way she was lying and laughed to himself.

As the sky lightened, the sounds of roosters crowing echoed from the village, waking them both.
Opening her eyes, Huaihua found both of her legs atop Ling Feng’s, her upper body flat on the bed, with her head resting on his arm.
And Ling Feng’s hand had somehow made its way under her pajamas!
The unintentional actions during their deep sleep turned awkward upon waking.
Although reluctant, Ling Feng quickly withdrew his hand, chuckling and saying, "How did this happen, Huaihua, I swear it wasn’t intentional!"
The shyer she became, the cuter Ling Feng found her, reminiscing about the tender touch, he thought it was a pity. Awake, he didn’t dare to make a move, but asleep, he had been much bolder!
"Brother, it’s already bright outside, you should leave now, or it won’t be good if someone sees you!" Huaihua said with her head lowered, after collecting herself.
Ling Feng sat up to look at her, "Don’t be mad, I really didn’t mean to do it, I forgot when I fell asleep."
"I’m not mad, thank you, brother," Huaihua said abruptly, biting her lip and looking firmly at Ling Feng.
Her sudden statement made Ling Feng pause, "Thank, thank me?"
"Yes, thank you for keeping me company!" said Huaihua with a smile, revealing a deep dimple at the corner of her mouth.
Ling Feng was somewhat dazed by her beauty, scratching his head, "No need to thank me, I should go now. It’s really easy to be spotted if I’m late."
"Mhm."
Huaihua nodded, watching him leave the room, and then there was the sound of the door opening from outside.
She couldn’t resist pulling back the curtain slightly to watch Ling Feng hop over the courtyard wall and disappear before she let out a small sigh.
