Karlis was sweating profusely as he had already lost all ten fingers and toes. Blood was all over the floor, and he was dozing in and out of consciousness.
"You’re really holding on, huh? Well, it doesn’t matter. You’ll break soon." Carlipile healed Karlis just enough so he wouldn’t die, but he would still be in excruciating pain.
"W-When the resistance....When they come, y-you’re dead." Karlis managed to get out, coughing up blood.
"If you think that will scare me, then you’re mistaken. I’ll be taking your wrist first."
"Hands behind your back right fucking now!" Kai and his girls burst inside the room, holding up finger guns. Kai had told them what it meant and had them use their mana as projectiles when they needed to shoot.
Surprisingly, all of them found it very entertaining to do, and Gwen remembered him doing that against that one random old man when they arrived in Ashenfall when Snore was getting upset and shit. Kai blasted his head open with a finger gun beam.
"Who the hell are you guys?" Carlipile asked, holding
"We’re the resistance, man, and we’re here to stop you!"
"Pwahahaha! You’re telling me that you seven clowns are the resistance and are here to stop me? Karlis, do you even know who these people are?"
Karlis looked defeated upon seeing his so-called backup. He wasn’t familiar with them, and in his eyes, they didn’t even look that strong.
Kai’s entire demeanor changed. "Do you know what happened to the last person who called me a clown?"
"What, you danced for him?"
Kai threw the body of Big-Bottom on the ground in front of Carlipile, causing him to take a step back in shock.
"W-What is this?" Carlipile asked, turning over his commander’s lifeless body.
Kai smirked. "Your fucking boss, bitch. Now, let’s start over. Gwen."
Gwen grabbed Carlipile around the throat and slammed him against the wall with her scaly hands.
"Are you the guy who knows where the relic is?" Kai asked the man.
"Y-You’re really with the resistance?" Karlis didn’t expect them to actually be strong, so his attitude switched up real quick after seeing Big-Bottom dead.
"Answer the fucking question."
"Y-Yes, I am. I’m Karlis Carloson."
Kai rolled his eyes. "Great, another one of you bastards. Well, at least you’re one of the good ones."
"A-A good one of what?"
"Don’t worry about it, Carl." Kai healed his body, then freed him from his restraints.
"You’re freeing me?"
"Yes, although I am second-guessing it because I don’t like your name, but since I’m helping you all, I guess I have to. I’m sending you back to the base alongside your teammates. Report everything to Sekmala once you’re there."
"What about this guy?" Gwen asked
"Oh yeah. Destroy his mana paths."
"Got it." Gwen slammed her fingers inside Carlipile’s body, injecting her mana into him until all of his mana paths exploded, nearly killing the guy. She tossed him aside and cleaned her hands.
"Sweet. Okay, bye now." Kai teleported Karlis and Carlipile back to the resistance base. He sent Carlipile there as well because he assumed the resistance would want to know why he was acting like a spy.
"So are we going to find out what that huge power was?" Kyana asked
"Oh, you felt it as well?" Kai was impressed. When they arrived at the fort, he sensed a very strong power somewhere here and knew it belonged to a demon. He assumed it was a demon lord, but he wouldn’t know until he confronted the person. 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝙚𝙬𝓮𝙗𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝒐𝓶
"Hey, babe, can I actually go to the resistance as well?" Gwen wondered.
"Uhh, sure. Why, though?"
"When we were there, they were talking about their next expedition to the second ancient temple, and I wanted to accompany them. They sent out a team today, and I wanna check it out."
Kyana’s eyes lit up as she also remembered that conversation. "Oh yeah, I wanted to check that out as well. Can I go, too?"
"Sure. I don’t mind. I’ll catch up with you later."
"Yay, thank you!" They both kissed him on the cheek and teleported away.
"Okay, now that it’s the five of us, let’s do some things. Karumi and Amaya, you two are in charge of clean up!"
"Ughh!"
"No way."
"Wait!" Kai had to hurry up and clarify what he meant before they ran off. "I mean, you two are responsible for cleaning up all of the Soldiers of Flaxem and the demons."
"Really?"
"Why didn’t you start with that?"
"My bad. Anyway, I’m sure you will know who’s innocent and who’s not. Go have fun."
The two of them wasted no time and disappeared from the room.
"I’m guessing we’re coming with you, huh?" Sasha smiled. She actually was happy that the two, in her words, animals were gone. Now she could have Kai to herself. Oh, and there was Nadya.
"Yup. If that’s what you want or don’t mind."
Sasha cuffed Kai’s nuts. "Promise you’ll fuck me later?"
"I’ll make you scream my name."
Nadya grabbed his face and started kissing him passionately. "I want you later as well."
Kai smiled, holding both of his girls around the waist. "Don’t worry, I’ll satisfy you both after we’re done with this."
They all left the room and flew to where the strong power was. Upon arriving, they walked into a house where demon attendants were serving tea.
"The mistress is waiting for you." A demon woman bowed. She was one of those humanoid-looking demons, the ones who looked breedable.
"Me? How does she even know I’m here?" Kai wondered, stepping further inside the place.
"She can see many things and foresaw this day." The woman bowed.
"Sweet. Lead me to her then."
The woman nodded, leading Kai, Sasha, and Nadya to the back, where her mistress was waiting for them.
When they entered, a woman was sitting down, dressed in a golden kalasiris, drinking tea. She was clearly a demon from the way she looked, having horns and all.
"Welcome. Please have a seat." The woman smiled.
Kai was taken aback by her beauty. "Whoa. Hello, beautiful."
"No, I do not mind being your woman. After all, you are the son of the creator of the universe."
"What the heck? Can you read minds?"
"Fufu, no, child. I can see the future."
