The Hero of Hypnosis-Chapter 443: Is this a dungeon
Kai and Karumi took off in opposite directions, moving like lightning as they moved back toward each other while multiple monsters stood in their path.
Even with her new strength, Karumi wasn’t strong enough to fully take a blow from these monsters since their powers were of a higher level of existence, thanks to the Progenitor Decay. But she was powerful enough to critically injure them, leaving them sitting ducks for Kai to kill.
Karumi cut off their legs and arms, leaving them defenseless as Kai would swoop in and chop off their heads. She created orbs of spirit energy and then connected them all together via a strand of that energy, making a net with trapped them all in place.
Kai acted immediately, blowing up all the monsters in one go.
"On your left." Karumi informed him.
Kai glanced to his side, dodging a large arm that belonged to an Ice troll. Grabbing it, he tore it off, clobbered the troll in the face with it, then shoved its arm in its mouth and down its throat.
The way Karumi moved around was as if she were a gymnast and a professional weaver. She would dodge elegantly, do backflips with ease, and run along the bodies of the larger monsters, all while creating strings of spirit energy that bound the monsters together.
Once she finished her dance, hundreds of these monsters were all caught in her net, and she tossed a spirit orb to Kai so he could detonate it with his own power, killing the monsters.
Once they had finished wiping them out, the entire area was either scorched, bloody, or had tons of animal parts around it.
"Nice work, partner." Karumi gave Kai a high five.
"Right back at you."
Kai and Karumi finally turned their attention back toward the large ice castle and went to open the door.
"You first." Karumi didn’t want to take any chances. This whole area was warded off by a strong blizzard; monsters appeared once they breached that boundary, and now, she assumed there would be some defenses on the door.
"After everything just went through, there’s no way this door has any tra—" Kai was blasted backward into the snow the moment he touched the door handle.
"Ow."
"Pwahahaha! This is why I wanted you to go first!" She helped him up, and Kai went to the door once more.
"Motherfucker." He blasted it down, breaking the doors, and walked inside.
"A maze?" Karumi wondered.
Kai looked around, his eyes peering into the intricate design of the Ice Castle.
"Nah, it’s a dungeon. That’s pretty interesting. I thought this would be one of those castles where when you enter it, you’re instantly in the throne room."
"Same. Well, shall we explore this dungeon? Seems kind of fun." Karumi was getting all excited.
"Hell yeah. Let’s go!"

Even with how fast they were moving and how careful they were being, it was still taking Kai and Karumi a good while to reach the end of the dungeon. Traps were everywhere, coated with Progenitor Decay, which could harm both of them; monsters were grouped up in rooms that stood in their way, and the dungeon was just huge.
"Phew, that was the last of them. I can’t believe that these monsters are just sitting in rooms. Like, that was a fucking dragon we killed. How can a dragon even fit in this place?" Kai looked around and assumed that this room was more of a pocket dimension than an actual room.
"Maybe a sub-space or something." Karumi wondered
"I was literally thinking that."
Karumi smiled. "Great minds think alike."
"They sure do."
After another hour, they finally cleared the dungeon and were met with stairs that shot up to the top of the castle.
When they followed it, they were met with another door. 𝐟𝚛𝕖𝚎𝕨𝗲𝐛𝚗𝐨𝐯𝐞𝕝.𝐜𝗼𝗺
"You do it this time." Kai didn’t want to get blasted again.
"Dick." Karumi touched the door, pushing it open, and nothing happened.
"You’ve got to be kidding me!" Kai felt cheated.
"Ha! Sucker!"
"Whatever, let’s just go inside."
Walking inside, they saw that the throne room was pretty small, but it was also as if it were a lab.
At the far corner of the room, a man was pacing around, writing things on the walls, floors, and biting his clothing when something didn’t go the way he wanted it to.
"No! No! For space, it needs to function like this! P-P-Progenitor Decay. I need it! I need more! Fuck! STOP IT! Get out of my head!" The man thrashed around, banging his head on the walls, and rolled on the ground.
"What in the fuck is going on here?" Kai wondered.
"Maybe he drank too much juice?"
"What does drinking juice have to do with this?"
"I don’t know. I’m just throwing out scenarios."
The man heard voices coming from behind him and turned around to see who it was.
"INTRUDERS!" He created a multi-layered magic circle that was on the level of a 10th Tier mage, and a dragon’s head appeared out of the spell, shooting a laser out of its mouth.
"Whoa! That’s fucking cool!" Kai caught the blast with his hand, and he dispersed it with no effort, but once he looked at his hand, he saw that it was burned.
"Jeez, man! How many people have Progenitor Decay in their systems? How are they not dead from it? Like what the fuck?!"
"Y-You! It’s you! You! You! You! You! You! Arghhh! My head!" The man grabbed his head as he was in pain.
"What’s up with him?" Karumi asked
"Probably can’t fathom being in the same room as me. You know, I’m sexy as fuck."
"L-L-Little B-Brother." The man spoke
"Whoa! Maybe not. Okay, pal, who the fuck are you?" Kai got into a fighting stance/
"Y-You don’t remember m-me? A-After the b-beating I gave y-you? I-I’m hurt."
Kai’s eyes became serious, and his expression darkened. "Aion."
"Y-You remembered m-me. I’m g-glad."
Kai wasn’t. He hated that guy more than anything, and it was hard to have him hate something or someone.
"L-Let’s have a cha—"
Kai blew up the man’s head, not wanting to hear anything that came from his mouth. He then absorbed all of the Progenitor Decay in the area, feeling himself grow stronger.
"Let’s get out of here."
