This Life, I Will Be the Protagonist-Chapter 1111 The Escape Plan for "BS"
Rita spent some time leveling up in the Dawn dungeon.
She wasn’t in a huge rush for leveling at the moment. Her primary focus was on gear. Using the [Flower of Deceit] to turn equipment into golden apples was her main method for gaining attribute points.
Rita planned to take Mistblade and Calico back to BS after Mistblade finished her business, and then start looking for worlds willing to accept BS’s war assistance.
She had previously tried shrinking BS to apple size and tucking it into her pocket to see if it would work, but just like how [Cat’s Ideal] had trouble moving BS, her agility dropped to 1 when she carried BS on her person.
With agility that low, while it was still possible to move, it would only be through teleportation-type skills. But this also meant that if she entered another world and faced an attack, she would be unable to dodge.
Her body’s reaction speed wouldn’t match her battle awareness, and she would have to endure it.
However, transporting BS to the world’s gateways directly was still possible. She planned to test this out by taking BS to "Isolated Isle" to see if she could bring BS into another world.
As soon as she exited the dungeon, she ran into Wither.
He was sitting on a bone throne, facing the dungeon’s light curtain. Next to him was a sign with words written in BS language: "Don’t run, I’m here to talk about cooperation."
The words "cooperation" were bolded, enlarged, and underlined.
Rita thought: ...Am I really someone who would flee just at the sight of you?
The sound of waves and the deep blue helm behind her disappeared as the golden rain curtain turned into another throne behind her. Rita sat down calmly and asked, "What kind of cooperation?"
Hundreds of petals that had exploded into the shape of an exclamation mark reformed into a Vine, snaking into her wide sleeves.
Wither got straight to the point. "I heard that you want to accept the stranded players from worlds that have collapsed and haven’t been able to settle in the new worlds?"
"I’m considering it, but I won’t accept too many. The number of players from each race won’t exceed 100."
This was the answer that Rita had carefully thought about. Like Binast’s Twilight Library, she could only offer hope to these races, but she couldn’t accept them indefinitely.
Moreover, when she accepted these players as BS members — and only in this way could the number of foreign players entering other worlds be exceeded — she would set strict rules.
According to her and BS, as well as several of The Mechanoids’ statistics, there were still over 7,000 worlds in the universe, with about 300,000 worlds that had collapsed.
Even though some worlds had multiple races, the number of races that had lost their original world didn’t exceed 310,000, and after excluding races like the Moon Fox, Candlebeast, and Owl Clan that had already settled in new worlds, the number of races now seen as "monsters" in different worlds was around 150,000.
Among them were many races like the Octopus Bucket, whose entire race had almost been wiped out and who were now wandering the universe alone.
Rita wasn’t sure how long this task would last. It felt like an incredibly long epic quest, one that she might not even complete by the time the universe’s destruction came.
But there had to be a plan. Even calculating with 150,000 races, if she accepted 100 from each, BS’s number of foreign races wouldn’t exceed 15 million — less than 1% of BS’s human population.
That was her mental limit.
She also needed to reserve slots for future negotiations with other worlds.
Her reasons for doing this weren’t purely altruistic. There was one thing she hadn’t told World Sigh and hadn’t even shared with BS.
The primary reason she was trying to diversify BS’s races wasn’t just for World Sigh, nor was it to have more races with special abilities to help build BS.
Of course, those were reasons too, but the most important reason was to prepare for that unknown crisis.
She was trying to model BS after "Isolated Isle."
If the gods had races, and if only a few worlds could survive in the end, would BS, with hundreds or even thousands of races, be the one to be preserved first?
That was the escape plan she was laying out for BS.
Like many escape plans in the past, she might never need to use it, but if it became useful, it would be a massive surprise.
BS’s freedom was just a breathing space. She hadn’t forgotten the information she’d learned in the temple. After the brief joy, she quickly adjusted her mindset and started preparing for the future.
BS Rita’s answer made Lania Kaia’s Wither swallow many words. This wasn’t what he had expected.
He had initially thought that Rita had become emotional after listening to World Sigh, feeling pity for the players who had lost their worlds. But now, it seemed that wasn’t the case.
He quickly realized that the acceptance of wandering players held little importance to BS Rita. He couldn’t use Lania Kaia’s wandering players as a bargaining chip.
"What if I accept 10,000 BS players into Lania Kaia for leveling and ensure their safety outside the dungeon?"
"What do you want?"
"For every Divine Game after this, I’ll help each Lania Kaia leader bring three pieces of equipment or items into the game. The longer you stay, the longer BS players can level in Lania Kaia."
"Deal."
Both of them were no-nonsense types. One gave a reasonable offer, and the other quickly agreed.
The negotiation was over in less than 10 minutes.
Rita wasn’t worried about Wither binding her after sending 10,000 players to Lania Kaia. If Wither dared to do that, she’d immediately open the "Dawn" to "Lania Kaia" route and make daily trips to Dawn, picking up a batch of Vineborne and transporting them to Lania Kaia for free.
After separating from Wither, Rita ran a few more dungeons. When Mistblade finished the Moon Fox duties, Rita planned to take Mistblade and Calico back to BS.
The political teams of the four races were still arguing. After telling Shadow.Q about the 10,000 Lania Kaia leveling spots, Rita heard Nivalis’s voice in her head.
[Nivalis]: "Your teacher is looking for you in the world battlefield chat channel."
Rita quickly said a few words to Shadow.Q before stepping aside to open the battlefield chat channel.
[Isolated Isle Ash Cinders]: "Rita, can you come to Isolated Isle? I need to talk to you."
[BS Rita]: "Sure, teacher. Give me a few minutes, I’ll be right there."
[Tiger Ear Kessa]: "What, two faces? Not only did you reply immediately, but you also added a wave!"
[TingoJE]: "I thought she only logs in to provoke DawnCicada?"
[BS Crab]: "She was also online when she provoked Lania Kaia Wither earlier, right?"
[Winter Sea Frenzied Shark]: "We’re all here in the world battlefield channel, exchanging sincerity for sincerity. Only BS Rita treats it as a battlefield."
[BS Crab]: "...The latter half is correct, but the first half not so much."
[DawnCicada]: "Don’t you usually use this attitude to fool SmokeTune?"
[BS Rita]: "Anyone who hasn’t been fooled by me would think this is deceiving."
[Isolated Isle Lightchaser]: "Is this the attitude you use to fool your other teachers as well?"
BS Rita disappeared from the chat channel.
