Obsessive Gacha System
Chapter 27: Memory Fragment
A long, long time ago, before the sky and the earth were born, there was only the Wanting Void. It didn’t think or realize it was there; it merely felt a pressure, an ache, a need that had no name. It longed for a world, and that desire grew and swelled inside the silence, pressing against nothing again and again like a blind, desperate thing that couldn’t stop itself.
The Void started to create, not because it chose to, but because the wanting had become too heavy and hot, forcing it to move and push until light seeped out, stars burst forth, and space stretched thin. The world was taking shape, and in that process, the Void sensed things without knowing it. These feelings arrive like heat from a flame or blood from a wound.
The first feeling arose from deep within the Void’s core as it worked to create, not a hunger for food but for more. Because the more the Void made, the more it wanted to create, and it could neither stop nor wish to stop. 𝗳𝚛𝚎𝚎𝘄𝕖𝕓𝕟𝕠𝚟𝚎𝕝.𝗰𝕠𝐦
That hunger grew thick in the chaos, pulsing, twisting, breathing until something took form. The Void didn’t see it, being too busy wanting, but the first was now there, alive, blind, and hungry.
The second feeling emerged as the stars drifted apart. The Void had scattered them across the darkening sky, but they were leaving, floating away. The Void felt a tightening in its chest, a need to hold on, to keep them close, to draw a line and claim them as its own.
That need intensified, clenched, grasped, refusing to let go until something else formed. The Void didn’t notice, its hands full of stars, but the second was there, clinging, grasping, and never letting go.
The third feeling arose as the Void worked. It wanted to see what it had made, not with eyes but with something deeper, a need to keep watching, to keep looking, never blinking or looking away.
That need grew so strong it became a presence, a gaze without a face, an eye without a lid. Something else took shape as the Void felt watched but didn’t understand why, too busy creating. The third was there, always watching.
The fourth feeling came as the Void looked at everything it had made, the stars, the light, the dark, and the space. Some elements felt larger, while others felt smaller. Though the Void didn’t understand, a new feeling arose, a need to rank each one, to decide what was higher and what was lower, better and worse.
That feeling grew, pressed down, lifted, constructing a ladder out of nothing. Something else took shape as the Void felt a weight settle over everything but didn’t question it. The fourth was there, sorting, ordering, deciding.
The fifth feeling arrived as the world expanded. Stars grew too far apart, moments slipped away, and the Void felt a strange ache in its core. It wanted to tie things together, to connect and bind them, so they wouldn’t be alone.
That feeling grew threads from within itself, thin red threads stretching across the darkness. Something else formed as the Void felt less alone, though it didn’t see the threads. The fifth was there, weaving, tying, binding.
The sixth feeling arose as the Void examined its creation and saw that the world was messy, crooked, and wrong. The Void didn’t understand what perfect meant, but it knew this wasn’t it. A desire emerged to fix what was broken, to cut away the bad, erase the broken, and make everything clean and right.
That feeling grew sharper and colder, turning into a blade without a hand. Something else took shape as the Void felt a shiver run through its work, but it didn’t know why, though the sixth was there, cutting, correcting, and erasing.
The seventh feeling arrived after the Void had created so much light, stars, space, and time. Still, things began to fade, die, and disappear. The Void felt a deep cold in its bones, a need to remember, not to lose what it had made, to keep everything close, hold it in memory, and never let it end.
That feeling grew quiet and deep, becoming a chest without a lock and a vault without a door. Something else took shape as the Void sensed a strange stillness settle over the fading things but didn’t understand, though the seventh was there, remembering, preserving, and never forgetting.
So the world was created, and seven feelings were born from the Void as it made the world. Yet the Void didn’t realize it had given birth, and the world didn’t know they existed, nor did the seven themselves understand what they were.
They only existed, and still do, the first hungering, the second holding, the third watching, the fourth ranking, the fifth binding, the sixth cutting, and the seventh remembering. And the world keeps turning, never understanding why.

Lucien was engrossed in the story. It was as if he were there to witness how all this had happened.
Even though it was brief, he could feel how shattering the scene was.
It took a long time before he could gain himself back. His gaze returned to the drifting darkness.
But he realised this wasn’t darkness.
This was Void.
Or was he wrong?
He glanced at the hollow throne he sat on. He felt its story was incomplete.
What was it?
Also, he looked at the seven cracks on the throne and thought of the story it told.
His mouth opened slightly as words wanted to come out.
"I know you have a lot of questions, but those answers aren’t meant to be answered by me. You are to find those answers."
The open mouth had to close back.
"What am I?"
"Who are those girls? Your childhood friends? Their identity?"
"Whg were you the one chosen?"
"What’s happening now?"
"All these answers are the context of your new journey and along it, those answers will come for you. But I hope those answers wouldn’t devour your sanity."
The throne began to break, turning into strands of unknown energy that flowed into his illusory soul, which was fixed.
He could only watch as those strands fused with him.
His eyes began to turn drowsy, as they began to close.
"Our encounter here will be sealed. When it’s the right time you will awaken these memories. With my last power, I will create a powerful help that will guide you throughout your journey. The outcome of the framework is up to you."
With that,. everywhere turned dark.
And within that darkness, a light came and before he knew it, he was engulfed by the light.
But before he was completely engulfed, he heard the last eorrds of the hollow throne.
"Obsession is a two sided coin. One side builds thrones. The other burns them down. The choice is not whether to want, but whether you own the wanting or it owns you."
