Magic Blade: you can fire a skill that causes physical and magic damage in the shape of a curved blade. The range is unlimited and the cost is one hundred points of mana.

"Hoho, the first skill seems promising... but the cost is insane," Terry thought.

Soon Terry had the chance to test his new skill. A line of enemies was charging toward him and then it was split in half when he used Magic Blade. Naturally, he aimed at the core of the monsters, so they fell apart with ease. The magic blade only disappeared after hitting ten enemies. It made sense considering Terryโ€™s magic and physical prowess.

The blade looked like a crescent moon made of energy after being shot. It was quite flashy, but it was useful enough to make up for it.

"This is quite fun... I didnโ€™t expect that I would be able to do this so well," Terry thought.

Aside from jumping from one enemy to the other, Terry was also able to hit their cores with extreme precision and without giving them the chance to attack. Rebecca and Vanessa barely had the chance to do anything... the monsters began to fall like dominoes. Still, they were unable to do that for long since the ground began to tremble and the atmosphere turned ominous.

"Terry!" Rebecca shouted.

Terry kicked the final enemy with all his might and then crossed two hundred meters of distance in a single moment and then reached where Rebecca and Vanessa were. He also had noticed that the overlord was on the move. He only killed around fifty enemies, and he wanted to cause more damage, but that will do for now.

"We passed our message, letโ€™s get going," Terry said.

The group left the area using the same path that they used before and they kept their eyes on their back. The enemy didnโ€™t chase them, nor did they send the monsters since it would be a waste of time. In any case, they couldnโ€™t help but worry about how things would play out after that... if the enemy had any brain, they would avoid sending their minions to face Terry and the others since they would be easily disposed of. That being said, the current enemy was a cautious overlord and they probably couldnโ€™t try to fool them.

"How many enemies were you able to see?" Rebecca asked.

"A few hundred? Still, considering that they have four portals and they have been pouring in for a few weeks... they should have a few dozens of thousands on their side," Vanessa replied. "The walls wonโ€™t last long if they surround Rome... no one will escape as well since they donโ€™t want to let someone leave with the relic."

The overlord going as far to move tens of thousands of monsters for a single relic was quite something. Terry imagined that the relic could be considered a treasure valuable even for an overlord... perhaps it could affect the whole world somehow. Still, why wouldnโ€™t Francis try to use it? It didnโ€™t matter how much Terry thought about it, he couldnโ€™t find a reason why it wasnโ€™t being used and for what purpose the overlord wanted.

When the group returned to the city, the guards on the walls were looking at them with suspicion. They returned quite fast, so perhaps they didnโ€™t think that they did anything... Terry also forgot to bring any proof of what they did, but perhaps Francis was already informed of what would have happened if he truly had a Clairvoyance user in his guild.

"Thanks for your hard work," Rosalia said when the group returned to the guild. "The guild master is busy right now, but we were informed of what you did. You certainly have the skills to make the overlord feel like they should move."

Terry began to think that the relic was also what helped Francis and Rosalia know what they did... the group wasnโ€™t feeling like they were being watched now, so perhaps Francis was using it to watch the enemies movements. Still, such ability would be enough for an overlord to plan to have? Maybe if it could show everything around the world...

"So, no changes in the strategy?" Vanessa asked.

"For now, nothing has changed," Rosalia said while smiling. "If you want to leave to face the monsters tomorrow as well, please inform the guild master."

The group returned to their rooms in silence, but they felt a bit troubled over the situation. It couldnโ€™t be helped that they had to ask for permission since they werenโ€™t in their Territories, but it sure was annoying since it felt like they were kids again.

"What now?" Rebecca asked. "This situation is different than we had expected... while it isnโ€™t as dangerous, we are wasting a lot of time."

"We can only receive messages through Francis and Rosalia when they are from back home, so I understand your concerns, but we canโ€™t just rush the battle," Vanessa said. "Do you think that you can take down the overlord now, Terry?"

"Maybe... if they have too many tricks, things might become troublesome," Terry replied.

Terry wanted to make his sword reach the same level as his armor since that would increase his defense, attack, and magic attack as well. Still, for that to happen, he will probably need to kill a few hundred stone knights. It was hard to imagine the overlord just watching that happen.

"Should we force their hands?" Rebecca asked. "I noticed that we didnโ€™t use much mana while killing the monsters, so I imagine that it is thanks to the armor... if we focus on covering for Terry, maybe we can buy him enough time to fight the overlord. Once the enemy is busy, the people here will be forced to make their stand."
