Chapter 57: Singular force

Terry began to run around the village while avoiding the watchtowers and soon reached another group of three sentinels. This time, they reached fast enough to alert the others, and by hitting each other’s weapons, they woke up the entire village... that had been pretty brave since Terry had the chance to smash their skulls, and they didn’t try to defend themselves. Alerting the others was more important than their lives.

The enemies began to leave their houses, but Terry didn’t mind. While most of them were half asleep and didn’t know the situation, he still could make good use of the chaos.

"The enemy is alone! Create lines and assume your rank positions to stop him!"

It seemed that someone slightly smart noticed Terry and spread the news. He ignored that and just kept running toward the sentinels that were still waiting for other enemies to show up.

One by one, the sentinels fell to Terry’s precise and calculated strikes. His movements were swift and fluid, guided by a silent determination to dismantle their defenses. With each fallen sentinel, Terry inched closer to his objective, leaving behind a trail of confusion and bewilderment.

Gathered in small clusters, the enemies exchanged hushed whispers, their eyes darting nervously in search of answers. The absence of their sentinels, the guardians of their security, sent shivers of unease down their spines. They peered into the darkness, straining to catch a glimpse of the elusive intruder who had breached their defenses.

Terry had gotten rid of the campfires on the borders of the camps, so soon, the enemies inside that were still forming their lines couldn’t tell what was happening anymore. The lights in the middle of the camp were limited, after all.

A collective gasp of astonishment escaped their lips as they witnessed Terry’s figure gliding stealthily between the shadows. Clad in darkness, he moved with a fluid grace, his every step purposeful and deliberate. The sight of their assailant maneuvering effortlessly amidst their base filled them with a mixture of dread and determination.

After he finished the first stage of his plan, Terry took a deep breath and then decided to take the initiative in the large confrontation ahead. His defenses weren’t perfect, but he learned a few things he could use in the last few days.

With a surge of adrenaline coursing through his veins, Terry charged headlong into the fray, his determination fueling his every movement. Like a whirlwind of fury, he collided with the enemy’s large groups, his body becoming a formidable force of impact.

His approach was strategic, his posture low and balanced, minimizing the exposed areas vulnerable to the enemies weapons. He deftly maneuvered between the adversaries with each stride, exploiting the smallest gaps in their formation. The air crackled with anticipation as Terry’s muscles coiled, ready to unleash devastating force.

A symphony of chaos ensued as he made contact with the enemy ranks. The sheer power of his impact sent shockwaves rippling through the battlefield. Bodies were flung aside like rag dolls, propelled through the air by the sheer force of Terry’s onslaught. The sound of bone meeting bone echoed through the clash, punctuated by cries of pain and surprise.

"Urgh!"

"Hah!"

Terry’s movements were a blend of precision and calculated aggression. His reflexes were honed to perfection, allowing him to anticipate the enemies’ strikes and evade them with graceful agility. He weaved through their attacks, slipping past swinging weapons and sidestepping incoming blows. With every dodge and weave, his adversaries found themselves striking empty air, their frustration mounting.

A spear approached his neck; Terry twisted it to the side and then stepped forward before making his fists pierce the enemy’s stomach. A sword almost split him in half, but Terry grabbed the blade with both hands before pulling it alongside the enemy and then cracking his skull with his elbow.

The sight of Terry in motion was a spectacle to behold. He moved with an almost unearthly grace, his body a blur of speed and precision. His strikes were swift and devastating, his fists and body becoming instruments of destruction. The enemies, caught off guard by his relentless assault, struggled to match his speed and ferocity.

Now and then, an enemy would make their weapons scratch him. Still, with uncanny reaction speed and fury, Terry would throw the weapon away and then punch the enemy’s face before making them fly while their eyes had turned white.

Still, fighting agaisnt almost one thousand enemies was too much even for Terry, so the damage eventually pilled up. He was forced to retreat, and while the enemies were charging at him, he used a Healing Wand to close his wounds; the enemies were left speechless when they saw him healing.

Once confident in their numerical advantage, the enemy forces began to falter in the face of Terry’s skills and power. Their ranks thinned as bodies flew through the air, their weapons abandoned in the wake of Terry’s relentless assault. Panic and disbelief set in, sowing seeds of doubt among their ranks.

A newfound sense of awe and respect filled the air as the dust settled. Terry stood amidst the wreckage, a beacon of unwavering strength and resilience. The enemies who remained, though diminished in numbers, cast wary glances in his direction, their confidence shaken.

Terry’s charge left an indelible mark on the battlefield at that moment. His ability to break through the enemy’s defenses with sheer force and agility instilled a sense of fear and admiration. It was a testament to his skill, his unwavering determination, and his refusal to be deterred by overwhelming odds.

With each collision against the enemy’s large groups, Terry had demonstrated his mastery over the battlefield. His low posture and calculated strikes had not only kept him safe from harm but had also become a catalyst for chaos and disruption. The enemies, in witnessing his prowess, had come to understand that their collective strength paled in comparison to the singular force that was Terry.
