Chapter 105: Chapter 105: You’re Bullshitting

Walker Grant’s deep, almond-shaped eyes fixed on her, his tone deepening. "What do you mean?"

Sunny Reed stood up, glanced at Chloe Reed, and then said, "What if I told you she wasn’t the one who saved you back then?"

"What the hell are you talking about?" Chloe Reed stared at her, dumbfounded. "If it wasn’t me, you think it was you?"

But Sunny Reed just kept her eyes on Walker Grant, studying his expression, not wanting to miss a single flicker of emotion on his face.

But she couldn’t read him at all.

Walker Grant’s handsome face remained impassive, his eyes dark and deep, making it impossible to guess what he was thinking.

Sunny Reed waited for a long time. When he remained silent, she started to lose her composure and finally said, "Actually, the person who saved you back then... was me."

After speaking, she watched Walker Grant with extreme nervousness, her palms beginning to sweat.

’If his relationship with Chloe started because of that life-saving debt...’

’...what if the person who saved him was actually someone else?’

’What would he think?’

’Would he admit he made a mistake? That he’s loved the wrong person all these years?’

"You’re talking absolute nonsense!"

Hearing her words, Chloe Reed couldn’t believe Sunny would actually say such a thing, and she lunged forward, ready to claw her face to shreds.

’This was too much!’

The earthquake back then had struck suddenly. After she ran out, she couldn’t see Walker Grant. In a panic, she forgot her own fear and rushed back inside. Amidst the violent tremors, she saw Walker Grant pinned beneath a stone slab.

It was she who had struggled to move the slab and pull him out. Then, a large boulder fell, striking them both and knocking them unconscious.

And now, Sunny Reed was claiming *she* had saved Walker Grant?

’It was utterly absurd!’

Charles Reed quickly blocked Chloe Reed’s path, scolding her in a cold voice, "Can’t you be more sensible? Your mother is still unconscious!"

Chloe Reed sneered. "Didn’t you hear what she said? She didn’t even go to the event back then, so how could she have been there!"

But Sunny Reed said, "I did go. Mom and Dad were worried about you going alone, so they asked me to go and look after you. I didn’t join you guys because I knew you hate me."

She looked at Walker Grant again and said, "When the earthquake happened, she was just a little girl. How could she have had the strength to push aside that slab? I was the one who pushed it away and saved you."

Charles Reed looked at her, somewhat stunned. "Why have you never mentioned this?"

Sunny Reed gave a slight, wry smile. "Saving someone is just doing a good deed. I didn’t feel the need to talk about it."

"Impossible!"

But Chloe Reed just shook her head. "You’re lying! It wasn’t you at all, it was me!"

Sunny Reed looked at her with a complicated expression. "Sister, I’ve never held anything against you for what you’ve done all these years. But if you’re using this supposed ’good deed’ to get Walker’s affection and do whatever you please, then I don’t think I need to keep this a secret any longer."

Chloe Reed, her eyes red, glared at her. "You’re full of shit!"

She then turned to Walker Grant, a sudden panic rising in her heart. "Don’t believe her, Walker Grant."

Charles Reed’s expression was grave. He glanced at Chloe Reed and said, "You always bully your sister, and now you’re even trying to steal her credit for saving someone’s life. What won’t you do? You’ve disappointed me so much."

After speaking, Sunny Reed waited for Walker Grant’s reaction, but as time passed, she began to feel a growing sense of unease.

’Why wasn’t he reacting?’

The atmosphere in the hospital room grew tense.

Walker Grant took Chloe Reed’s hand and asked gently, "Are you tired?"
