"Mr. Grant, what brings you here?"

The project lead saw Walker Grant and hurried over, a wide smile on his face.

The Grant Group had invested in this dubbing company, making Walker Grant their main financial backer. His sudden appearance was completely unexpected, leaving them flustered and scrambling to handle the situation with care.

Walker Grant wore an impeccably tailored black suit, his hair perfectly styled. His features were strikingly handsome, and his long, narrow eyes held a cool, detached expression. Every gesture exuded an innate aristocratic air.

His gaze drifted over Chloe Reed before he spoke to the project lead. "I was just passing by and thought I’d drop in. I hear you had auditions today? How did they turn out?"

The project lead replied, "They’re already finished. It was Miss Reed here. She’s incredibly talented and handled the role perfectly. We were just about to sign the contract."

"Congratulations, Chloe," Sunny Reed piped up.

Chloe Reed’s expression was frosty. ’I guess today just isn’t my day,’ she thought. ’Of all people to run into.’

But...

’Walker brought Sunny here?’

’What’s this supposed to mean?’

’Is he trying to take this role from me again?’

’He already stole it from me once. Does he want to do it again?’

That was why Chloe Reed was giving Walker Grant such an icy, barbed look.

"Really?" Walker’s tone grew colder. "I didn’t hear it."

The project lead froze for a second before catching on. "Mr. Grant, would you like to listen to the audition tape? We have a backup saved. It’s in the recording booth, if you’d like to hear it..."

"I want to hear it live," Walker Grant stated.

"Well..." The project lead hadn’t expected such a demand.

Chloe Reed frowned. ’What is he trying to do? Is he just here to cause trouble?’

Just then, Sunny Reed spoke up. "Walker, I’m a voice actress too. I worked so hard for this part and I know the character inside and out. Even though I was replaced, I’d love to give it one more try. Since my sister is here, why don’t we perform a scene together? You can just listen for fun, right?"

"Who wants to work with you? Who the hell do you think you are?" Chloe Reed shot back.

As she spoke, the atmosphere in the room instantly froze.

Sunny Reed stepped forward and took her hand. "Little sister, I didn’t mean anything by it. It’s just that I’ve never had the chance to work with you, so I thought this would be a great opportunity. Don’t worry, the role is already yours. I just want to get my fix."

The disgust in Chloe Reed’s eyes was impossible to hide. "Let go," she said, her voice like ice.

Instead of letting go, Sunny gripped her hand even tighter. "We’re sisters, after all. Why must you make things so unpleasant? Everything that happened is in the past. Little sister, can’t we just start over?"

She put on a masterful display of vulnerability, practically begging Chloe Reed to bury the hatchet.

This was precisely why Walker Grant had brought her here.

She had wanted to see Chloe and mend their relationship.

And so, he had brought her.

And yet, despite Sunny putting on such a humble performance, Chloe’s expression showed no signs of softening. In fact, her face grew even colder, her eyes staring at Sunny as if she were a mortal enemy.

Walker Grant’s brows furrowed. "The recording booth isn’t big enough for the two of you? Do you really have to be this difficult?"

Chloe Reed finally yanked her hand away from Sunny’s. "I don’t want to. Have I not made myself clear?"

Walker Grant’s eyes darkened. He abruptly turned to the project lead. "The contract isn’t signed yet, is it?"
