Chloe Reed was watching the raw footage, studying the character’s emotional changes, when a fruit tea appeared in front of her. She looked up and saw Sunny Reed’s face—a face she despised.

She asked coldly, "What is it?"

Sunny Reed said, "I bought this for you. From now on, we’re colleagues. We should get along."

With that, she let out a helpless-sounding sigh. "Honestly, Walker... Giving me a job out of the blue like this. I really didn’t expect him to do it. Sis, you mustn’t get the wrong idea."

Chloe Reed watched her coldly. "If you didn’t want me to get the wrong idea, you should have just refused. Getting what you want and still playing innocent... How pathetic can you be?"

But Sunny Reed just blinked innocently. "Oh, but I did refuse. It was Walker who insisted. What was I supposed to do?"

Chloe Reed scoffed.

’Is she trying to flaunt how good Walker is to her?’

Sunny Reed looked at her. "Sis, please don’t be angry. Walker is only nice to me because of Noah. I still remember the tender look in his eyes when he saw newborn Noah, as if he were looking at his own child."

Chloe Reed’s hand instantly clenched into a fist!

Inevitably, the photos of Walker at the birth surfaced in her mind.

Her anger was a volcano on the verge of erupting. Her emotions were about to spin out of control!

Chloe Reed took a deep breath and said, "If you’re really so capable, why don’t you pester him into divorcing me? That way, you two can finally be together."

Sunny Reed sighed. "See? I told you you’ve misunderstood. There’s nothing going on between Walker and me. He loves you."

"Get lost."

Chloe Reed’s patience was at its breaking point.

But Sunny Reed showed no signs of leaving, continuing to prattle on, "Sis, I know why Walker put me here with you. He wants us to mend our relationship through our daily interactions. He’s doing all of this for you. You shouldn’t let him down."

Chloe Reed shot to her feet, knocking her chair to the floor with a muffled thud.

Everyone immediately looked over, their expressions a mixture of curiosity and confusion.

A flicker of triumph flashed through Sunny Reed’s eyes. She knew Chloe Reed all too well.

She had a temper like a firecracker.

Just fan the flames a little, and she would explode.

Once she made a scene, she’d lose this job for sure.

Walker’s well-meaning efforts would be wasted, and he would only grow more disappointed in Chloe.

Everything was going according to Sunny Reed’s plan.

But to everyone’s surprise, Chloe Reed simply righted the fallen chair, then turned and went to find Kyle Coleman.

"Director, would it be possible for me to do my voice-over work from home? I have a recording studio there with better equipment than this. You can contact me with any tasks or requirements; I’m always available."

Chloe Reed stated her request.

But Kyle Coleman’s brows drew together. "That’s not going to work. Neither the recording engineer nor I will be there. How will we manage the pacing?"

Chloe Reed’s head began to throb.

’If I stay here, Sunny will just keep causing trouble. I can put up with it for a while, but not forever.’

She desperately wanted to rip that disgusting look right off Sunny Reed’s face.

Kyle Coleman frowned at her. "Work has barely begun and there’s already an issue? Miss Reed, this is a company, not your playground. If you can’t handle your personal problems, I’ll have to consider finding someone else to voice this character."

Chloe Reed’s expression went stiff. She clenched her jaw and said, "I’ll handle it."

Kyle Coleman lowered his gaze. "Alright. You’re dismissed."

Chloe Reed returned to her workstation. Sunny Reed was gone, but the fruit tea she had left behind seemed to mock her in its silence.

She swept it into the trash can.
