Azusa told Lance that now he had two options to chose from. Either he would allow his wife to die and come to the Otrefiona Empire to retrieve her. Azusa can make this trip to be a fully paid honeymoon vacation as an apology for the death of his beloved wife.

As for the second option, that was to intervene with the life sucking process of the seed and to stop it from killing Chi Chu.

Azusa was not able to take out the seed because she was not really good with delicate tasks like these but she was sure that Elena, Zeta and even Oss would be able to do something about this.

But Azusa told Lance that if that happened, then Chi Chu would not get any of the benifits that she was suppose to get because of the resurrection process.

After telling Lance about his two choices, Azusa also gave him what her own opinion regarding this matter was.

"If I was in your shoes, I definitely would have chosen the resurrection choice. Getting the opportunity to experience death without actually dying is a big deal, specially for individuals without a high power level. And the benefit that father is providing through the resurrection is also not minor.

So I will personally advise you to allow the whole process to naturally happen. In that case, you and your wife could also enjoy a happy honeymoon in the Otrefiona Empire for free too."

As Lance looked very torn about this decision, suddenly Elena spoke up from the sideline. She had a different third proposal for Lance which he might find easier to accept.

"Dr. Lance, I have a different proposal for you. I can make a connection between you and your wife so that the seed would start sucking both of you two’s life force. In that case, two of you would be able to speak with one another in each other’s mindscape at your last moments.

Your death will not activate the resurrection magic because the seed lacked resources to do so but I can reassure you that I will bring you back to life with my magic. Then you can go to visit your wife with us and have the honeymoon there too."

Hearing this new proposal, Lance’s eyes lit up. He understood in his heart that his main regret was the fact that he was unable to do anything for his beloved wife. So if he could stay with her and support her in this situation, that would really be something that he would want.

Just as Lance was about to agree to Elena’s proposal, Elena smiled mischievously and continued -

"But everything in this world has a price. So for helping you out in this, I want to recruit you for working under me. I can promise you better condition than what you’re getting here and also more freedom with your research. So what do you think ?"

This was a very unexpected offer for Lance. He could easily feel that the lady before him was not normal and she was definitely a very powerful person. So Lance actually felt a little proud that someone of her level wanted to recruit him.

At first Lance had definitely joined the Starseer Tower looking for both fame and fortune. But with time, his high aspirations had also vanished like a mirage. Currently he only wanted to leave a quite and peaceful life with his wife and if he was allowed to research whatever he wanted to, there could be nothing better than that.

With this in mind, he immediately accepted Elena’s proposal. If she had not approached him, even if his wife had resurrected, he would not have been there to see her again. Just thinking about this was making his blood to become cold.

So for that reason, Lance also felt grateful to Elena for saving him and his wife from witnessing this worst case outcome.

Elena was very happy that Lance had accepted her proposal. Actually Elena had made this proposal in the first place because there was a very high possibility that Lance would accept this.

Elena was very impressed by the ideas that he had came up with and with the depth of his research. A person like that could really be very beneficial and could come up with various interesting things. So Elena was glad to have him under her.

She knew her husband very well and she was aware that he might just take his own life to join her if she died.

The place where Chi Chu’s mind currently was, it was a pitch black space with no light in sight. But then suddenly, in the pitch black Dimension, a light appeared for the first time.

This light was of golden colour and it was also giving of a very gentle and soothing aura. Chi Chu’s mind was immediately attracted towards it even without knowing why she was thinking of this suspicious light as something safe.

As Chi Chu got closer, the light suddenly started to take shape, a humanoid shape. And then before the astonished eyes Chi Chu, the figure of her husband appeared in this pitch black space while he was shining with the same exact soothing golden glow from before.
