So Jiang Cheng believes that sending these smugglers to court to face trial is the right course of action.

Of course, if these smugglers dare to resist, then he absolutely won't hold back.

The imprisoned smugglers were shouting and threatening inside, saying Jiang Cheng and his team had messed with the wrong people and that they would never have a peaceful life again, and so on.

Jiang Cheng was greatly annoyed by their words, so he turned back to the weapons room and found some gas grenades and flashbangs, casually tossing them into the smugglers' room. After a flurry of noise, it grew much quieter.

With everything ready, the spacecraft started to take off.

At Yanran's request, Jiang Cheng piloted the gunboat in a circle at low altitude around the planet.

Seeing some familiar places, even though it was desolate and filled with many monsters, this was still the home where he had lived for many years. So Yanran and the Little Flaming Firebird silently bid farewell to the Nameless Planet as they watched on the monitor.

The spacecraft left the orbit of the Nameless Planet and began heading towards Erma Planet. About ten minutes after takeoff, the communicator in the cockpit suddenly rang.

Old Bit, you old thing, finally back now, huh?

At the same time, on the radar in the cockpit, two red dots were rapidly closing in on their gunboat.

Old Bit, did you drink too much? You're still flying so fast," the voice continued yelling.

Yanran glanced up nervously at Jiang Cheng, who sat there expressionless.

Reply! Reply immediately! Apparently, those two spacecraft had discovered something unusual about their gunboat.

"I'll give you ten seconds, and if you don't respond, we'll attack immediately!" They issued their final ultimatum.

What shall we do?" Yanran anxiously looked at her teacher.

In the universe, a vehicle is the basis of survival for most people. If the vehicle they are in has a problem that can't be quickly fixed, their fate can be dire; many either get sucked into a black hole or endlessly drift in space.

It's fine. Jiang Cheng was not worried at all.

He stood up and went to the gunner's position. "Let's play with them for a bit; it's been many years since I last used these weapons."

"Alarm", the gunboat had been locked by the enemy, the defense system issued a warning sound.

Jiang Cheng let Yanran take over the autopilot, and when Yanran nervously said she wasn't familiar with piloting such a battle spaceship, Jiang Cheng told her to just fly casually, "as long as you don't crash into a planet." The control panel before Jiang Cheng flashed with buttons of all sizes in red and green. He pressed a green button, and a voice came on: "Shield ready."

He simultaneously pressed a red button: "Main weapon ready, prepared to fire at any time."

On the display screen, the reticle locked onto one of the two enemy spacecraft.

As Jiang Cheng fired, the enemy had already shot at them first.

Their spacecraft got hit, giving a jolt, and Yanran let out a scream as the gunboat veered off course in a large arc.

Jiang Cheng's shot had missed.

After the gunboat got hit by the enemy, the display showed the gunboat's defense value was decreasing.

The calm Jiang Cheng didn't care about these things. His operations grew more skilled, gradually pressing various buttons continuously.

"Ion cannon loaded.

Backup shields ready.

Hive missiles ready."

An endless series of announcements echoed in the cockpit.

Seeing her teacher so composed and prepared, Yanran also became calm, remembering that she had flown transport ships before. If there was any difference between piloting a transport ship and a gunboat, it was just that one is simpler, and the other more complex.

The principles are the same.

Yanran was extremely smart; she quickly learned how to pilot the gunboat, already controlling it adeptly with only a slight lack of practice.

Don't deviate from the course. No matter what moves you make, you must fly towards the target." Jiang Cheng instructed Yanran.

The battle was still ongoing.

The enemy's two spacecraft had separated to their ship's side and rear, relentlessly pursuing them. The crossfire formed by the beams and rockets constantly being fired provided a challenge. Luckily, Xuran's unpredictable piloting made it difficult for the enemy to lock onto them, and thus harder to hit—quite a bit of luck.

But unfortunately, their luck wouldn't stay by them for long.

With a "boom", the gunboat shook violently, and an urgent voice sounded again: "Port-side seal chamber damaged, alarm! Port-side seal chamber damaged!"

Yanran turned to look at Jiang Cheng, seeing his indifferent expression, she too remained silent and focused intently on piloting the gunboat.

A cold voice sounded again on the communicator: "You've been hit by us, slow down immediately, and land at the nearest planet following our instructions." This voice was filled with undeniable force: "This is your last chance."

"Go to hell!" Jiang Cheng sneered, pressing the red button in front of him once more.

Taking advantage of Yanran executing an S-shaped maneuver, two waves of cluster missiles flew towards the enemy's gunboat.

Direct hit!

The enemy gunboat's right hull was breached, creating a big hole from which thick smoke poured out, and its speed slowed down.

Yanran quietly waved her fist!

Jiang Cheng grinned slightly. This little girl indeed still had a childlike heart.

Even though they hit one enemy spacecraft, it hadn't lost its combat power, and the other enemy spacecraft remained completely intact.

The battle was not over.

Ji Su and Yanran piloted the smugglers' gunboat away from the Nameless Planet.

On their way to Delmar, they encountered a gunboat piloted by comrades of the smugglers. After a few brief exchanges, a fierce battle ensued.

Jiang Cheng's vessel had been hit once by the enemy, but he also managed to hit one of their gunboats, while the other enemy gunboat remained untouched, relentlessly pursuing them.

Yanran's piloting skills became increasingly proficient, and although their gunboat was hit and slowed down, thanks to her adept skills, it became even harder for the enemy to lock onto them.

Just earlier, when the enemy gunboat had once again locked onto them, before anyone could react, Little Yanran made a sharp turn, and the gunboat executed a perfect arc; a beam fired from the enemy ship narrowly missed skimming past their hull.

Yanran stuck out her tongue, that had been a close one. If the enemy's main weapon had hit directly, even if the gunboat didn't explode, exiting the battle would be inevitable. And under enemy pursuit, a gunboat unable to fight meant certain doom, didn't it?

The two enemy gunboats were still tailing them closely.
