It was as if the swordsman’s body was a piece of unruly metal on an anvil, while Loki’s fists were hammers. Very soon, the swordsman’s body was bent out of shape. Then his body began to melt because of the force of the blows.

When the swordsman realized that he was no match for Loki, he decided to escape. So instead of resisting like he was doing all along, he let the hammer blows knock him backward away from Loki.

It was easy for him to pull off this move because Loki’s fists contained too much force. In fact, his whole body was racked with pain. But he didn’t let his pain stop him from doing what needed to be done.

He immediately healed his injuries while pumping his legs to run away as far as possible. He was doing this when he realized that he needed a whopping 24 years of his lifespan to heal that injury.

This shocked him because if the enemy had used rank 6 Divine Metacs and a maximum stats of 6 units to attack him, then Loki must have used 4 Divine Metacs to attack him.

When he realized this, he shook his head and said to himself, ’Impossible. There is no one with four Divine Metacs. It is just impossible.’

’Even the great rank 8 cultivators don’t have five Divine Metacs. They only have three, so there must be a mistake somewhere.’

He couldn’t wrap his mind around why he had to use 24 years of his lifespan to heal an injury that was created without the amplification of law fragments, and he absolutely refused to believe that this particular enemy was capable of using four Divine Metacs at the same time.

It is already impossible for a divine being to have four Divine Metacs, but at least, he can think of it. What he can’t even consider in his wildest dreams is that not only does someone have four Divine Metacs, but they can also combine those four Divine Metacs and use them together.

Loki slammed his other fist into his face just as he returned to his previous position. And just like the previous punch, Loki’s fist drilled into his body and came out the other side.

This time, what he hit was the head, but the swordsman’s head couldn’t accommodate his thick arms, so the head burst wide open after he punched it.

Even with a head that had been split open, the swordsman was able to say, "It doesn’t matter if you tell me now. I will find out eventually."

"I will come back to find out. And when I do, I will bring the force of the Sword Way Sect down on you. At that time, you will beg to tell me, and I will not listen."

But Loki sneered and said, "So what if you bring people to beat me up? What’s the worst thing you can do to me?"

He said this as he pummeled the swordsman into the ground. Then he smashed his fist into him again and again like pistons.

While Loki was beating him up, the swordsman was using the divine constellation to send messages to every divine being in his sect. The message he sent was one calling for help. That way, any divine being in his sect currently in the second heaven would rush over to come and save him.

And just in case they couldn’t make it in time, he also described Loki’s appearance vividly. He made sure to say that Loki had a black metallic body.

The appearance of divine beings is based on the first Divine Position they take up. So the appearance of divine beings is usually fixed and unique.

Unless a divine being is a deceiver and unless divine beings have special Divine Metacs, no divine being can change how they look. So by describing Loki like this, he was making sure that Loki would be easily identifiable.

He also made sure to describe what else he knew about Loki. He mentioned that Loki could manipulate his body somewhat to take different shapes. Lastly, he said Loki was responsible for the trail of emptiness in the second heaven.

At this point, Loki had stopped hitting him. Instead of wasting his lifespan to beat the swordsman, he pushed the swordsman into a lake and watched the swordsman burn alive.

The transparent water of the lake reacted violently with the flesh of the swordsman. It was as if he put a piece of metal into a vat of highly concentrated acid. The reaction was violently exothermic.

As the lake water burned him, he had to keep spending his lifespan to regenerate, while Loki didn’t need to spend any more lifespan. As for the lake, it was slowly shrinking in size because of the violent interaction of its law fragments with the existence of the swordsman.
