Chapter 39: Tonight he was not letting her go

When they finished eating, Lena hurriedly cleared the table, pretending not to hear Raymond offering his help. Raymond saw through her little antics but decided to ignore her. He was not in a hurry; he planned to take his time. Tonight, he was not letting her go. He needed to free himself from the pent-up frustration that had been weighing on him for days.

So he sat there, calm and patient, like a predator watching his prey move about, pretending nothing was wrong. His thoughts ran wild, picturing different scenarios with Lena, and every single one of them ended with her on his bed. His eyes darkened with desire.

Before Lena could react, Raymond stood up, scooped her into his arms, and started heading upstairs.

"Put me down, I still haven’t finished cleaning the dishes," Lena protested, lightly hitting his chest.

"Don’t worry, Bertha will finish it up," Raymond assured her calmly.

Lena, not knowing how to avoid what was coming, decided to just go with the flow. Her heart pounded as she clung to him, already anticipating the inevitable.

Raymond took her straight to the bathroom to wash up. He pulled his clothes off quickly, then slowly peeled hers away without breaking eye contact. He enjoyed looking at her body, taking his time as his gaze traced every curve. Lena felt embarrassed and instinctively used her hands to cover herself, but Raymond gently removed them so he could see her properly.

He washed her diligently at first, deliberately holding his desires at bay. His touch was careful, almost restrained, as though he were testing his own patience. When he was done, he picked her up. Her legs wrapped around his waist, her arms around his neck.

Raymond missed her, missed touching her, missed being this close. It had been a while, and the longing made him impatient. He started kissing her passionately, his lips moving against hers with urgency. He pushed her back against the wall, the intensity of his kiss drawing a sharp cry from Lena. The sound only fueled his passion.

He moved to her neck, sucking until a mark bloomed on her skin, then lifted her higher, his lips finding their way to her nipples. He nibbled and sucked until they turned a deep crimson.

Lena’s cries became a mixture of pain and pleasure. Raymond positioned himself at her entrance and thrust into her. His movements were fast and steady. His trust came without warning, Raymond hit her spot so well with the position he put her, Lena couldn’t handle the overwhelming sensations; she held onto

Raymond’s head, her screams growing frantic as her eyes rolled back and her body trembled.

Raymond smiled and brought her down, holding her tightly as her legs shook beneath her. He poured water over her to clean her up, then himself. Even then, his body had not completely relaxed the heat was still burning in him. his length stood marjestically.

Lena couldn’t tear her eyes away from him. He was well-proportioned—his body, his presence, everything about him made her breath hitch. Unable to stop herself, she reached out and touched his hard muscles. Raymond allowed it, watching her with interest. It wasn’t every day he saw her take the initiative.

She stood on her tiptoes and kissed him lightly. Raymond smiled, then picked her up again and headed for the bedroom.

When they got there, he dropped her gently onto the bed and spread her legs apart. His eyes trailed over her, lingering, before moving lower. Lena, hazy from pleasure, didn’t notice the look in his eyes. He lowered himself, his face buried between her legs.

Lena let him have his way. She lifted her head slightly, curious, just as she felt his tongue against her sensitive spot. The sensation was different—intense and overwhelming. His tongue continued its slow, deliberate movements, and her back arched forward as pleasure surged through her.

She held onto Raymond’s head, trying to keep him there. Raymond knew exactly what he was doing, and he enjoyed every reaction she gave him. He sucked and licked, his tongue working wonders, drawing sensual and addictive moans from her lips. He continued until her eyes rolled back once more.

By the time he finished, Lena was already exhausted, but Raymond was just getting started. He positioned himself again and pushed into her. Finding his rhythm, he moved fast and steady, driving himself forward until the pressure built and he finally released.

Spent, he dropped onto the side of the bed. He turned to look at Lena and saw that she was almost asleep. Gently, he picked her up, went to the wardrobe, and grabbed nightwear for both of them. Instead of the master bedroom, he took her to the guest room opposite it.

He cleaned her up again, then himself, dried them both, dressed her in the nightwear, and tucked her into bed. After changing, he lay beside her, pulled her into his arms, and fell into a deep sleep almost immediately. For the first time in days, his expression was completely relaxed.

Lena woke up later and found herself in a different room. Startled, she jumped up too quickly, almost spraining her ankle. She screamed and fell back onto the bed.

"How come your first thought when you wake up in a strange room is to run away?" Raymond said, standing up to help her.

Lena wanted to bury herself from shame. How could her first instinct be to bolt instead of checking the room—or looking beside her—just like the first time they met?

Raymond, still groggy from sleep, pulled her back into his arms for a morning cuddle. "It’s still morning, Let’s stay in bed for a while."

Lena nodded and allowed him to hold her. She looked around and realized the room bore some resemblance to the bedroom she had previously stayed in.

"What happened to our bedroom?" she asked.

"It’s messy," Raymond replied lazily. "Though I don’t expect you to remember, considering how much you enjoyed everything I gave you last night." His eyes remained closed as he inhaled her natural scent.

Lena hit him, then continued hitting him lightly. Raymond chuckled huskily, his morning voice deep and sensual.

"Alright, alright. I won’t tease you again," Raymond conceded, his laughter fading into a smile.

The day passed quietly. Raymond went to his office to finish some work before driving out later. Lena spent most of the day sleeping and reading a construction design book, her body still exhausted from the previous night.

She didn’t see Raymond again after their morning cuddles and soft kisses. As evening approached,

Lena decided it was time to visit her father’s house and finally set the record straight. She resolved to send him away once and for all, since he refused to stop plotting against her.

She would enforce her mother’s will and make sure her father never stepped foot in the company again.

Ashley woke up, her voice hoarse as she kept asking for Selena and Evans. The hospital nurse assigned to her gave a sympathetic look and promised to call them before quietly stepping out. Alone for a moment, the nurse muttered under her breath, She doesn’t deserve the people she calls family, they’re the ones responsible for this.

Hastily, she dialed the detective assigned to her case. "she is awake," she said, her voice firm.

"You can come take her statement."

When the detective arrived, he tried patiently to get her to recount what had happened. But Ashley gave nothing. She insisted she had been kidnapped, and that Evans, Selena, and Mr. Smith had nothing to do with it. Every attempt to pry into her relationships with them was met with obstinate refusal, and soon she became hysterical.

Ashley, still weak but resolute, watched him go, her mind a storm of confusion and relief. The ordeal wasn’t over, but at least, for now, the nightmare had paused.

Concerned for her safety, the nurses intervened, injecting her with a mild sedative to calm her down.

Frustrated at the lack of a usable statement, the detective had no choice but to release the suspect, granting them bail. Mr. Smith immediately offered to pay, only to discover that the card Lena had funded had been cut off. His anger, already simmering, threatened to boil over. Evans quickly stepped in, calling his lawyer to prepare the bail money, knowing that if Mr. Smith acted rashly, they could all end up back behind bars. Two nights in custody had been more than enough, and he could still smell the lingering prison stench. He needed a shower, and fast.

Once the bail was processed, they went their separate ways. Evans, eager to distance himself from the chaos, wasted no time. Without a word of farewell, he slipped into a waiting taxi and disappeared into the city streets, leaving the tension and Mr. Smith barely contained fury behind him. 𝑓𝓇𝘦ℯ𝘸𝘦𝑏𝓃𝑜𝘷ℯ𝑙.𝑐𝑜𝓂

Mr. Smith seethed with barely contained anger, barely noticing Evans’ departure. He couldn’t even afford a taxi, and Selena had to cover their ride home, forcing herself to swallow her disgust. Once inside, she finally snapped, unleashing the anger she’d bottled up for days. Regret gnawed at her, marrying him had been a mistake. Over the years, he’d grown reckless, his schemes failing and pushing them further from their goals. Her words grew sharper, her tone cutting, until his patience broke. With a sudden, harsh slap, he silenced her, he stood there shocked at his actions and looked at Selena’s hurtful expression he almost apologized but when he remembered her hurtful words he told himself she deserves it.
