Jeremy Night didn’t disturb the beast. He wanted to see what the beasts were up to. There was still time left before sunrise. He wanted to collect information here first.

Time passed.

The Tier-3 Rat beasts continued to roam the farm field. They didn’t do anything to the vegetables and fruits on the ground.

The Corrupted beasts were known for killing people and eating their flesh. It was the same case with the rat beasts before.

He didn’t know what these rat beasts were up to. There had to be some reason for destroying the field.

Shriek!

The rat beast jolted awake. It was triggered by something and started destroying the field.

Seeing that, Jeremy Night was surprised. He had been paying attention to the rat beast; it had been normal so far.

Now it was acting frantically. There must be some reason behind it. Jeremy used his eye ability. His vision zoomed in.

Then he saw something on the ground. It was a greenish liquid. A green-colored smoke coming from the liquid was making the beasts go crazy.

Jeremy Night was dumbfounded. "What’s that thing?" Jeremy thought.

He didn’t move from his place. He continued to observe the beast. Suddenly, the rat beast turned towards his direction.

It bolted out and was coming straight towards him. The eyes of the rat beast were blood red.

Blood rat beasts were known for having red eyes, but this time the beast’s eyes were completely crimson.

Jeremy stood up. His hands were on the scabbard, but he was not going to draw the katana blade.

He raised his right hand. Then he started using the starlight power. A single layer of starlight thread emerged from his palm.

Then it wrapped around his forefinger. The single layer thread looked stronger than before; the thread piece was thick now.

Swoosh!

The Blood Rat Beast appeared before him in a flash. Its target was his body. Knowing that the beast was going to strike him using its razor-sharp mouth, his senses acted.

He saw that the movements of the rat beast appeared to be slow in his eyes. He then stretched out the starlight thread.

The thread stood upright like an invisible blade. When the rat’s mouth was about to bite him, he moved. His body shifted, avoiding the mouth.

Right then, his right hand moved. He brought the starlight thread downward.

Swoosh!

The starlight thread cut through the air before striking the neck of the rat beast. The starlight thread easily sliced through the neck.

Puchak!

In a flash, the head of the rat beast separated from the main body. The next second, the decapitated body dropped to the ground. Seeing that, his gaze turned towards the starlight thread.

The starlight thread was still there, but the thread was covered in blood. Then he controlled the starlight thread; it wrapped around the finger in the blink of an eye.

The blood flowed across the ground.

Jeremy Night then shifted his gaze towards the field again.

His gaze fell on the greenish liquid on the ground. He started moving towards the greenish liquid. In a flash, he appeared in front of it.

A terrifying, disgusting smell attacked his nostrils. For a second, he felt his head go dizzy.

He knew something was wrong. He retreated from the greenish liquid. Only then did he feel his mind getting clear. His head had felt light-headed.

A few seconds later, his eyes glinted with understanding. He gulped. Now he understood the green liquid’s power.

That was the reason behind the rat beast going crazy. Jeremy Night then calmed his heart.

He used his eye ability to scan the place again. He wanted to see whether there was another area with a drop of the greenish liquid.

His gaze swept over the place. His vision zoomed in. His gaze then caught another drop of greenish liquid on the ground.

Swoosh!

In order to verify whether it was the same greenish liquid, he decided to get near. He took a deep breath. Then he went to the second greenish liquid.

He saw similar green smoke coming out of the green drop. A tiny whiff of the smell attacked his nostrils. Even that was unbearable to him. Jeremy Night then retreated again.

After getting back to a safe distance, he breathed in relief. His face was solemn. He had found out the reason behind the blood rat beasts going crazy.

The suspicious green smoke could lure out the blood rat beasts in high numbers, but he didn’t know if that suspicious green liquid was a natural thing or not. He needed to spend time to find out the truth.

Jeremy then used the eye ability to zoom into the place. He started walking forward. It didn’t take long for him to find another suspicious green drop. His expression grew serious.

Time passed.

He found more and more suspicious green drops on the field. They were on the ground randomly. By now, he had found more than a hundred green drops on the field.

Jeremy thought the matter was getting out of hand. He thought that the suspicious greenish liquid wasn’t a natural thing.

It could be man-made. If it was man-made, then the person’s strength must be higher.

Shriek!

The rat beasts made a sound again. The terrifying sound reached his ears again. Jeremy turned around and saw that a large number of rat beasts were coming from behind. They were ready to ambush him.

Jeremy Night’s eyes scanned the number of beasts. There appeared to be more than 50.

He then unsheathed his katana blade and held it in his right hand. The starlight thread wrapping around his finger was gone.

Jeremy Night then controlled the starlight thread. He coated the single edge of the katana blade with the starlight thread. It happened within seconds.

Jeremy Night was then ready to face the incoming beasts. The blood rat beasts were ready for the ambush.

A large number of blood rat beasts saw the human prey again. They started rushing towards the human prey at a fast speed.
